Just curious what did you do before you retired cause you seem to be so resourceful with all you do around your place. Keep up the good work on your videos they're great.

At approximately 1:30 seconds as you say: "He said to me...", I notice someone or something walking through a gap in the trees out the window. I played it back 2 dozen times and enlarged it. 1. The image is of a solid two legged being that crosses a gap of about 12 feet in 2 to 2.5 steps. 2. Also two small trees are shaken as the being reaches the completion of the open gap at 1:35 seconds. 3. The being also seems to descend downward with the first step as if to have been stepping into a portion of uneven ground at 1:32 seconds. At 1:38 to 1:40 + the wind seems to blow causing movement of the smaller bushes and trees across the gap, however the same being or thing crosses yet again in the opposite direction it originally came from. BTW.....I'm the viewer who remarked last year or so "For those who are wondering, NO HE HASN'T SEEN BIG FOOT." I do however believe a human being may have been caught on your camera moving around just out of the yard area of your cabin. Once again the movement of wind blown bushes and small trees is not what I observed, judging from the sun shine on the trees around the area I've mentioned I would say the being/person was wearing gray in color to dark brown fabric. As the light reflects off of them similarly to the reflection off the trees, which has a dark or gray in color bark. Loved the video and this is the first time I've noticed any kind of anomaly in 2+ years or more of watching your channel. Stay safe and be well.
I do have some interesting images from the trail cameras around the cabin. I asked the DNR about them and they confiscated the memory cards and said to forget about it.

Thank God none of those trees hit the cabin. I wish I cut a old mower to mow weeds like you done. I always use a weed eater with a blade on it. It was so slow and took hours to cut the weeds down.
Ah, Mr. Jameson. I know him well, he's a very good & kind friend. So good to see you Martin, and another of the "long-timers" too! Excellent to have you back home so we can see how your fall trip went. Micro down burst wind taking trees down, unexpected work glad the Cabin was ok. Nice invention trail mower, careful not to shorten your shoe size. Just great to see everything again, I really like the grey jays and the spruce grouse as well. Canada or Gray Jays? Those trees on their backs with those massive root balls is a testament to just how Powerful God is. It would take man days with massive machinery to take out those root balls, yet we see them pulled CLEANLY out of the ground with great depth. It's a wow factor.
Always enjoy your videos. Just watched this episode after getting back from my cabin in Colorado's Arapaho National Forest for the summer. The last few days I have had a grey jay that would come in for some bread and cereal. first time I have seen one. Didn't get him to eat from my hand, but if it leads to hand feeding a grey jim bacon from my hand, forget it. I'm not sharing my bacon.
I had an old hill billy friend that took a mower like that with the front removed and attached a length of chain saw chain instead of blades, it would cut down old fence posts.
I would keep an eye on that new brush cutting mower Martin, I know your pretty sharp, but if you get your feet or hands any where near the cut out on that thing you'll have bother eating that lovely cherry pie, all the best from N.Ireland.

Yes I love your videos. So calm and peaceful inside and outside your cabin. Looks like fun there. But also a lot of work. You keep it up so well. And I know you do a lot of work there. Then you can always eat one of Vonnie’s cherry pies after the work is done. Yum!!Thank you for sharing your cabin life with us. 😊
Thanks for all the the notes Kendra, nice to see someone viewing some reruns.
Good to see you Martin at home away from home Have a cup of backwoods coffee on me my turn to buy!!
Sounds good!
On the Gulf Coast we understand wind, third hurricane coming in Wednesday!
So nice to be at the cabin again! Jim is a good sport! Thanks Martin 💕🌲🌲🌲
Yes, he always fits right in.
Thank God none of those trees hit the cabin. I wish I cut a old mower to mow weeds like you done. I always use a weed eater with a blade on it. It was so slow and took hours to cut the weeds down.
The mower worked as planned. I did my best to keep it light.
The wind left quite a mess, good thing you have the area around your cabin cleared out !
You got that right! A huge White Pine escaped the wrath.
Good to see you back at the cabin. Love starting my Saturday morning's with one of your video's. 👍
Enjoy! And we are good for a long time.
Ah, Mr. Jameson. I know him well, he's a very good & kind friend. So good to see you Martin, and another of the "long-timers" too! I was going to comment how you wouldn't have to worry about firewood for some time to come but you said it already lol. That must 've been one heckuva blow! Thanks for sharing, stay safe and warm out there.
Thank you kindly, I am glad I was not sitting stoveside for that one. We have a huge White Pine that could reach the cabin if it goes.
Wow! That male is showing off in a big way. Heckuva storm, Martin. But as you say, free firewood!
You got that right!
Way to go Jim it takes some effort to get Martin!
He won that round for sure.
Hi Mike!!😀😀
Looks like you had a little micro burst come threw.
Be careful when you are cleaning up that mess. Lots of trees under pressure.
Looks like the spruce chickens are glad to see you back.
Take care and stay safe my friend!!
Thanks for the tip, a good reminder of the dangers of trees that come down that way.
In fact all the wildlife there, except maybe the bears. I enjoy your cooking sections too, guess it doesn't take much to entertain me, ha ha. I've never seen the northern lights in the sky, maybe you could try and film them sometime. Anyway, thanks for the update, looking forward to watching the next in the series. God Bless!
You should like a lot of what I have this go-round.
@@TheNorthwoodsman1 I have no doubt. Thanks
I was very happy to see the notification for the new video last night, but I waited to watch it until this morning. Your videos are great to watch anytime, but for me they are best viewed with a cup of coffee in the morning. They start my day off with a smile. Cheers from down here in SW Virginia.👍
Yay! Thank you!
The early bird gets the worm and the job of clearing the trail!😀
Jim says next time he will not pull that one.
Good to see Jim again........noticed he also waited outside while you cooked.......he is smart!
He just can't get enough of that fresh air up there. He slept outside every night to have more of it.
Wind sheer. I've seen this many times.
I figured as much.
Martin I think you should sell guest visits and they each raise a round of logs on the guest cabin....
There may be a cabin raising some day. If I could have all the supplies ready it would be a good time.
Mornin Martin
Hey nice to see you back at the cabin ..it wasn’t as long a drought as normal..but yah us fans miss your videos when you have leave for awhile..👍👍
More to come!
Good to see you Martin. These birds are just beautiful.
Glad you enjoyed it, they sure make my day up there when morning coffee is enjoyed with them just outside the door.
Glad you're back
Hope you enjoy, lots more to come.
Thanks you Martin hope to see you soon my good. Buddy on a Saturday watching older video take care of vonnie we be here waiting
So it begins!
It’s going to be interesting watching the next 10 days while Jim is there. The shenanigans between the two of you is fun to watch! You have a great friendship! Enjoy!!
We shall see
Well done Jim. Gotta teach them young uns a thing or two. No point in getting older if you don’t get wiser.
Not surprising he does a little with politics.
Nice to see the grouse. Love your videos.
More to come!
Hey how's life going",stay strong and healthy
That is the plan.
Its so great to see ya back. Hope my eyes will be back in shape soon. So l can dont miss a thing. This really helps us all so much.
I hope so too!
Canada or Gray Jays? Those trees on their backs with those massive root balls is a testament to just how Powerful God is. It would take man days with massive machinery to take out those root balls, yet we see them pulled CLEANLY out of the ground with great depth. It's a wow factor.
New name is Canada Jays.
We will be getting snow 🌨️🌨️ soon at the top of the mountains in Fawnskin Ca. Always work to do.
We got it last night in Northeastern Ontario yesterday, 4".
I had no snow this trip and that may be the first fall trip with never a white morning dusting.
@Tom Morin That's awfully early for that low of temps isn't it, Tom? The wife
this episode is favorite and I will make a mower like that - awesome idea and so practical
Great to have you back. Was yearning to get "back out" into the woods! Keep the videos coming, they're soothing.
More to come!
The spruce grouse are so beautiful. Disappointed that Wyoming is not within their range.
When i need to mellow X: )
Glad to be there when needed.
Welcome back! We do not count the bacon slices but are still watching.
I was worried about you. It's been so long since we have heard from you. I can't wait for your new cabin
The cabin will be a while but things will progress again as we pull in logs this winter.
Glad your back . Beautiful Grouse.
It is going to be a long series, a lot of good times this trip.
Great video thanks for sharing Martin
Glad you enjoyed it
"Some people are easy to please... watch this..."
Ha, ha, ha...!
I've got a hunch our beloved Martin is quite a card off camera...(!?!)
It seems a camera in hand brings it out more.
Joker?🃏
Jim & Jameson - great combination 👍
Yes they both came in handy.
I had an old hill billy friend that took a mower like that with the front removed and attached a length of chain saw chain instead of blades, it would cut down old fence posts.
Hmmm, thinking about that one. Were the chains used as flails?
That old stove top makes a nice coffee table nice repurpose
Yes it does!
I would keep an eye on that new brush cutting mower Martin, I know your pretty sharp, but if you get your feet or hands any where near the cut out on that thing you'll have bother eating that lovely cherry pie, all the best from N.Ireland.
Will do, Need to keep that in mind all the time. No blade sticks out but a shoe could easily slip under the top plate.
