Overview of Precision Landing Drone Methods

- Precision Landing in drone applications generally refers to the ability to consistently land within ~12 inches from the desired target.
This is a very important component of autonomous drone applications, as conventional GPS based positioning is only accurate to ~10 feet (too wide of a margin of error for many drone applications). Whether you're performing precision agriculture, package delivery or any drone-in-a-box system, you'll need precision landing.
Two of the most common methods of precision landing are by way of computer vision scripting (tracking a target/aruco on the ground with opencv), or IR-lock (a camear+IR-emitting beacon).

Hi, what are the weaknesses of both the openCV and IR-lock approach?
Why not just use an RTK GPS point?
Hi
thank you so much for your great work on youtube Your content help me a lot.
I was curious could you possibly help me with the Drone delivery precision landing course?
due to financial problems in my country IRAN , sadly i can't afford it.
again thank you so much for your hard work.
I want to enroll in the course but $397 ie ₹29237 is too much in India. I took Drone programming primer earlier. Any help?🥺🥺
