It's way too complicated and fragile for trade use! The perfect trade tool is a laser pointing tool, potentially with small pads that can be placed for accuracy. The pointer sends all data to your phone and an app would allow you to calculate anything you want in any format.
Just get a caliper ? What's the point of something being 0.1mm accurate if you have to "aim" by hand and sight anyway. If you need that level of accuracy, get a caliper, if you don't just use a ruler, or a laser.

In 2001 I visited the MIT media lab and I heard this fascinating story. They always admit students who have really interesting ideas and let them work on them, but also always admit a few students with crazy ideas, because it turns out they learn just as much from failed experiments. One of these was a guy who had the idea to use ultrasound to encapsulate the sound from a speaker, to everyone's surprise he actually made it work, and he got funding from, among others, Lockheed who saw potential savings on headphones on airplanes (think directed light, AC and sound from above). Since the Focusound i said to be developed in China, it might not be the same, but I suspect that the technology is similar.
It's a long time since I read something as interesting in youtube comments as your comment. Thanks for sharing. I wonder what they would say about my crazy inventions : D sadly, I'm not technical person and smart just enough to know that my idea is probably impossible and that's why it doesn't exist :D. My idea was "warmth in a can". If you can spray sth into the air to make it smell like lemon, why can't you spray the air to make it warm. Like let's say there's emergency, you are in the tent on mount everest, but you have "warmth in a can" you spray and the air in the tent gets comfy as hell, just as long as someone cames to save you. : D I would love an answer why that's completely impossible, why even is possible the warmth would last just seconds because it would be overpowered by a force that made the air cold in the first place. I know it's crazy. : D
@@michakowalski2930Warmth is either produced by friction or chemical reactions. So the sun or a space heater radiate infrared radiation, which energises the molecules in your skin. Energy is basically movement of particles so the more energised the particles are, the more they move, thus the hotter it gets. Particles you spray in the air can't radiate infrared radiation (or any radiation for that matter, like microwaves), so that's not going to happen. Your best bet would be to create some form of chemical reaction to heat the surrounding air, but I know of no such reaction that would yield any meaningful amount of energy and is safe for you. If there was a way to create warmth from spraying some particles in the air, it would be expensive, inefficient, impractical and unhealthy. It is simply easier to carry pocket warmers and maybe a space heater.
@michakowalski2930 Not an expert either, but you could probably just use that "hairspray flamethrower" technique to make a can of warmth (it would technically work because it would set your tent on fire)
I'm an instructor pilot in helicopters. My client a couple of weeks ago had the Ray-Ban Meta glasses and was using them to film some of our flying. The quality of the videos is surprisingly good, but the major downside is that they only record for 30 seconds at a time. So when he was trying to record something like an autorotation (landing with a simulated engine failure), it would get the first bit, but stop recording before we actually got to the ground, which was disappointing since that was really what he wanted to see.
I appreciate the comments everyone, but @lilyeet1980 is entitled to express their opinion. I'm honestly more bothered that they spelled "nobody" as two words.
I have to say, it is very refreshing to watch videos made by someone who is so well spoken………..I could listen to his voice for hours, very pleasant on the ear
There’s something about a product that follows you around like a suitcase in my opinion. At this point it doesn’t look very practical but now I kind of want a pet suitcase.
Arun. U r the only person who has made me watch a 40-minute video without skipping. I didn't even realise it's a 40 min video until someone mentioned it in the comment. Good job!
I will say, this tech review has been the most captivating, engaging, and greatest in production value I have seen in a while. Well done. Let's beat apple!
Those translator earbuds were probably the best and most practical one out of anything. Would love to see that piece of tech get improved and expanded upon more...
The ruler is the single best and most useful thing on this list. When I think of what the future is supposed to be like, I think of practicality first. All the other stuff that is not practical is gimmicky in one way or another and doesn't have the same potential as something that changes how you live your daily life.
Great video! As a pencil enthusiast I just thought I'd point out that there's a much much more futuristic version of that pencil that might pique your interest. It's called the Kuru Toga Dive, and as an owner of 7 it's ABSOLUTELY the future. It's got a tighter rotating engine, adjustable automatic lead extension, and a magnetic cap that extends some lead out the moment you remove it. Would love to see it covered if/when you do another one of these!
That transparent TV as a window would be so cool. Turn it off for a window and turn it on where you can watch TV from one side and just a dark window from the outside.

The autofollowing suitcase seems like the most FUN gadget of it all. I especially like the function of idling when it searches for the wristband. Imagine the airport filled with 50 of these just doing donuts to find their daddy.... Other question: How individual is the connection between your suitcase and the wristband? Imagine strolling through the airport only to find 8 suitcases that followed you to your gate :D
The fact that we have to search up futuristic things means we're not ACTUALLY in the future yet, but way later on in the future you wouldn't have to search up futuristic things because for the most part whatever you look for will be futuristic.
Wow, that was a really fun surprise to see our Morf Strap in one of your videos! :D Thank you for showing us some new use cases, always fun to see what people come up with!
The fact that Nike designed that shoe just for people with physical limitations is actually incredibly respectable and cool. Sure they got free PR out of it too but if more companies did that that is the kinda thing I would actually buy products because of. I’ve never owned a pair of Nikes not really my style and I would actually buy some now just because of that. Also the ruler would actually be pretty useful for quickly dividing length on building materials
A suitcase that follows you around like a puppy is really the one that blew my mind. That's actually insane. Edit: to be clear yall, I’m not saying that this thing has any practical usage, because I really can’t see one, but it’s still crazy tech considering that when I was growing up the Super Nintendo was high tech.
My granpa used an actual dog with a double bicycle-bag to carry his shoppings. It followed him like a puppy and no one would ever try to seal it (it was a german shephard)
This man has millions.. I very much doubt he puts that much work into things... He has a whole team of people doing everything for him, he just gets in front of the camera and speaks...
People dont realise that youtubers like mrwhosetheboss are the first stage of R&D for free, literally watch this and you know what to improve on for next time

19:23 how can somebody be amazed at a low quality translation app that fails with one of the most spoken languages and also charges you for offline use just because you don't have to press a button. The level of understanding that non-techy people have with tech has never been lower.
I like that Drisha is doing more with you. Her insight and input about the translation buds was very good. Also, your personal interactions are cool to see. It was playful the way she crashed you on the suitcase.😂
The translator earbuds are nice, but honestly, google translate could just add it as a feature to just sync with someone else super local with a qr code scan or something and let both people use their own earbuds, since a lot of people do own their own. Could also just add this as a feature over phone calls too, but they never have. It's pretty much just all software.
That feature has been for years on Google translate, it is calles conversation mode, and choosing the mic button in the middle for listening on both languages
@@JorgeGutierrez-o2k What I mean by this. Is I can have my phone running the app and someone else running the app on their phone. So then we can do a short range connection to each other's app. Then my earbuds listen for my language and send the translated version to the other person's app so they can her what I said in their chosen language in their earbuds. I don't mean using the one phone in conversation mode where no one can use earbuds or you have to share (gross ear infection possibility). Or then you have to have a phone that can support multiple headphones and link one person's earbuds to another person device. All that is a stupid hassle that can be solved by just letting the app use a short range ADHOC connection to each other. And then also no one has to figure out what the other person's language is.
I have my FlyEase for almost 2 years now, wore them almost daily during summers and it is still going strong. They are the perfect traveling shoes. Cant tell you how handy they are on long planerides.
Those glasses could be especially useful for concerts! You’re still in the moment, but you also have a capture of the memory without blocking/messing with the experience of anyone else
But when i use a led pencil i make sure one side is sanded down on purpose because it's easier to shade with a soft and sharp side and just draw in general
Im really happy that he can be sceptical towards expensive gadgets. Its honest review. Figure that companies dislike it when theyre expensive tech gets this much negative marketing
The hologram thing is so close to being a massive leap in tech and a massive throwback to Harry Potter. Put a photo of someone on it and train an ai voice model to sound like them as much as you can anyway and boom something that can help you feel connected to a lost loved one for example.
I know you have said you were super shy when you were younger. You are so easy going right now, it makes your videos really relaxing and fun to watch. It's like hanging out with a buddy. I like how you keep some slips in your video.
The bio luminous orb would be amazing for a futuristic lighting system that pumps that fluid through pipes in your walls to clear tubes that act as the light bulb” and back to a tank for the algae to basically recharge before going back into the system. It would be a contiguous loop and would look insane. Imagine a hallway with a bunch of acrylic tubes lining the walls that in the daylight don’t look like they do anything but once it’s dark they light up.
acrylic doesn't love sunlight, is the first problem. running a pump constantly for lighting that relies on a living organism (that creates waste) is itself wasteful, and if the pipes were open to the sunlight you'd have visibly exposed pipework outside your house.
I wish that that's something that could be realistically made, but with how troublesome water cooling is to maintain I'd imagine that such a system would be too expensive and difficult to keep running
@@jozefdoyle they don’t have to be acrylic. Acrylic was just the first clear plastic I thought of. Most plastics do oxidize when exposed to sunlight though, yes. They could just be glass tubes. The only exposed part of the system outside of your house would be whatever roof panel the algae runs through. Almost like a solar panel but it’s made to recharge the algae.I’m not sure what the algaes byproduct/waste is so I’m not sure what you could do with that. It could be done to look super clean and neat.
like arun said it's not the product's fault, eventually translations will get better. Also as a spanish speaker literally the only thing wrong in that translation is "puedo" (which it's because trisha misheard it) and loaf for some reason wasnt translated,

@@michakowalski2930 Thank you for reading!

That’s amazing🙌
But yeah nearly every smart glasses regulates the camera length. Maybe regulation.🤔

The ruler is the single best and most useful thing on this list. When I think of what the future is supposed to be like, I think of practicality first. All the other stuff that is not practical is gimmicky in one way or another and doesn't have the same potential as something that changes how you live your daily life.
The 3D screens could change your life a fair bit.
@@MiTheMer The 3D screen was probably my favourite, but in terms of everyday use, the ruler is definitely the most useful.

Well props to the editor(s) this was by far one of the best-edited videos on the channel.

The autofollowing suitcase seems like the most FUN gadget of it all. I especially like the function of idling when it searches for the wristband. Imagine the airport filled with 50 of these just doing donuts to find their daddy.... Other question: How individual is the connection between your suitcase and the wristband? Imagine strolling through the airport only to find 8 suitcases that followed you to your gate :D
probably it would be considered a threat and dangerous, and of course confiscated. My feeling it will get you more trouble than a normal suitcase 😂

My grandad had a golf trolley that followed him round the golf course. Been around for years! Very clever
I'd rather just hold a normal suitcase personally. I would never be able to get myself to trust it not to get lost or stolen, even with the alarm.

They should add those features, like you said because I'm not too sure about putting someone else's earbuds in my ears.
Just learn Esperanto like a normal person.

MS translator app already has the option (pairing 2 phones). I haven't extensively tested it but for a brief test it worked impressively well.

Now imagine the maintenance that goes along.
acrylic doesn't love sunlight, is the first problem. running a pump constantly for lighting that relies on a living organism (that creates waste) is itself wasteful, and if the pipes were open to the sunlight you'd have visibly exposed pipework outside your house.
