I love this as an upgrade to my XSR 125. I am however worried about long term reliability and I do not mean engine durability but overall trouble-free operation. Which is very high on my list, I don't want any hassles beyond normal servicing. So probably going to go with the Eliminator 500 instead. The Speed 400 is very affordable so surely some corners have been cut in the quality of materials. Cool video BTW.
Thanks for watching Chris, I hear what you saying as it is so new. I don’t think you would go wrong with the Kawasaki though. But I’ve never owned one long term (briefly a W800)
Loved the sound, was this directly from Osmo Action 4 mic, or did you connect the rode wireless mic to it? Also can you share details about the gloves you are using? They look great!
Heya! It was direct from the osmo with a foam cover. I have used the Rode wireless on my triumph where I put the mic under the seat which worked quite well. Another option I am keen to explore is putting the wireless mic in my bag or pocket. Glove are Goldtop cafe racer 😊
@@pintsizedbiker Battery wouldn't charge, the suspension didn't seem to be assembled correctly, and the engine was leaking oil externally after 2k miles.
How “Pint Sized” are you? Your height and inseam? I’m really short. People wouldn’t consider me pint sized because I’m a very short and rather wide container 🫙 😅 I haven’t been able to sit on one of those bikes yet.
The aftermarket scene is going to be huge for these bikes
I would of thought so!
From India: I added liqui moly mos2 shooter in the engine oil. The vibrations are literally gone!!
That’s great info!
any other improvements you've done? would be a big help.
How much in mL did you use?
The paint on that tank is next level . Btw no one mentions the incredible 12:1 compression ration , hope that engines up for it long term .
That’s a great point. Though I am not a big enough expert of comparing compression, I’d soon be found out!
Yes loves this video..
Thank you Christopher. Plenty more to come if you have subscribed 😉

@@pintsizedbiker haha, yes it seems so.! 😛
Looks nice, but I'll never give Triumph my money again after they sold me an absolute lemon of a Street Triple R.
What happened?
@@pintsizedbiker Battery wouldn't charge, the suspension didn't seem to be assembled correctly, and the engine was leaking oil externally after 2k miles.
What gloves are those? They look very well made.
They are Goldtop cafe racer gloves, yes they are superb!
@@pintsizedbiker awesome. I’ll check em out. Thanks.
I noticed too much engine breaking in lower gears and it was jerky too . Is it normal ?
I didn’t find it too bad. Certainly not as strong engine braking vs my Bonneville
You are driving on a rural road. I found it quite deserted
Curious what brand those gloves are?
They are Goldtop Kevin. I love them!

@@pintsizedbiker my inseam is about the same as yours but I’m 5’3” 😕 I’m pretty sure it will fit me 😄
Why did triumph made a joint venture with Bajaj 😢 the sound of this bike is 🤮. Fully chain and water pump noise.
😀
Brown gloves with a Black jacket???
Yes 👍
That’s always a great combo. Whatya on about?
@@amielterence thank you. Also lighter gloves might make me stand out to other road users, maybe 🤷🏻♂️
