GoPro Selfie Stick with Tripod Stand amzn.to/3oE9eTH
    In this VIDEO:
    ❌ 1 - DON’T order cappuccino after 11am.
Cappuccino in Italy is a morning drink which has to be consumed together with your breakfast.
If you a fancy a cup of coffee after lunch time and can’t have your coffee without milk - go for macchiato. Same principle as cappuccino- espresso with a splash of foamy milk but it’s absolutely fine to have it anytime of the day.
    ❌ 2 - Don’t expect having early dinner.
Italians are late eaters. That’s why all local, traditional Italian restaurants start serving dinner at least at 7:30pm
Super travel to Italy tip: never choose the restaurant if the menu outside is in English. It’s usually a tourist trap - higher price for pretended to be traditional food
❌ 3 - DO NOT ORDER ANY OF THOSE:
    Pasta with meatballs
    Pizza with pineapple
    Pizza with chicken
Those dishes do not exist in Italy. So please do not insult the Italians by ordering them.
Also when you order pizza in Italy you don’t usually share it with your friends. You order 1 pizza for yourself!
❌ 4 - DO NOT WEAR FLIP FLOPS IN BIG CITIES in ITALY
better don’t wear flip flops when you are in Rome or Milano.
They are for the seaside only! Seaside type of shoes. Period.
    ❌ 5 - DON’T WEAR Sandals WITH Socks
Sandals with socks is one of the worst things to be wearing in Italy. It’s considered to be no taste and again all fashion rules.
❌ 6 - No open legs and shoulders
When visiting churches in Italy you must be dressed appropriately and it is not possible to enter with clothes as if you were at the beach.
Remember general rules of visiting those gorgeous churches in Italy:
Legs and shoulders must be coves
Backpack, bulky handbags, hats must be removed
❌ 7 - DON’T EXPECT BRANDED, DESIGNER CLOTHING TO BE CHEAP IN ITALY
The prices for those brands are standardised and remain pretty much the same for every country where those brands have their shops.
❌ 8 - DON’T SPEAK LOUD in English thinking that Italians will understand you better.
They won’t. And it looks so funny for the locals when I a native English speaker is talking so loud like literally screaming and also making lots of movements with their hands.
If English is the only language you speak it is absolutely fine, nothing is wrong about it.
But! Speak slowly. And try using most common words.
❌ 9 - DO NOT GO TO ITALY WITHOUT LEARNING BASIC WORDS AND PLEASES
Knowing simple words like buongiorno - good day! Buonasera - good evening, knowing the difference between buongiorno and globally famous Italian ciao and where you should use one or another - will already make your trip much more pleasure.
❌ 10 - DON’T LIMIT YOUR TRIP TO ITALY BY VISITING ROME - FLORENCE- VENICE ONLY
Italy has so many interesting places to explore! All those little towns and small villages. They are similar and totally different at the same time.

#11 Mandolin music is only representative of certain zones of southern Italy, please if you are aiming to play some authentic italian music as background in your videos take this in mind: every region (or sometimes even city) has its representive music, just like food or culture.
Just to put this into perspective, playing mandolin while displaying Rome is like playing Sweet Home Alabama in the background while showing the streets of Manhattan.

Tbh you can find good italian restaurants with english menus, what you should know is that for italians "italian food" doesnt exists. Every region has its own typical recipes, if a restaurant has in his menu a lot of popular italian dishes that are not typical from that region/city, you're most likely walking into a tourist trap. For example if you're in milan and a restaurant has on its menu carbonara (typical from rome) and lasagne (typical from bologna), you're in a tourist trap.
I also find "the fashion thing" quite overrated, we wear usually comfy in summer, especially by day, just avoid to wear too shabby if you go to restaurants or churches: i cant stand a grown man in shorts and baseball hat to the restaurant.

I shit you not, the first thing everyone of us told him the first time he saw him was "why the hell are you wearing flip flops?" Even before saying hello. It was funny cause we managed to see him basically only one at a time and every single time he got to hear the same thing, he eventually started wearing shoes again. This summer he stayed 2 whole months and i didn't see him in flip flops once, we saved a soul there!

And yes Italians make sometimes gestures (especially in the south) when they are talking (or not...) when it has sense (and each gesture has a precise meaning), not like ridiculous tourists from north Europe doing that, thinking it's cool to do that in Italy without any reason, like a nervous tic 🙃 They can't even imagine how local people think your place is in a psychiatric hospital 😅

the Most accurate is definitely the last one. Everyone goes to Venice and Rome, but it is such a pity to miss places like Lucca or Siena.
The tradition of drinking cappuccino only in the morning is fading away as we are becoming more tolerant towards that.
You can still have a pizza with pineapple or chicken, but it would be such a waste when you have such great combinations to try! Why opting for an american one?

TBH in Italy we follow precise and ancient bonton rules concerning salutations. From dawn until midday you say "Buongiorno" (good morning), while after midday you can say either "Buon pomeriggio" (good afternoon) which is very uncommon, or the more common "Buonasera" (good evening). In the late evening the rule is to say "Buonasera" (good evening) when you arrive and "Buonanotte" (good night) when you leave.

    I would add.
    1. don't order latte after 11 am. it's a morning starter like cappuccino
    2. if you are hungry you still can have an appetizer. go into a bar and get some decent wine with starters. then move after 8 pm (20) to the restaurant (taverna, Trattoria, Bistrot, Yes we have several names for the same thing in italy)
    3. don't also order Cheese and mac. Most foreigner things that what they are used to eat in their own country is real italian. big fake. it's the adjusted taste to their needs. and pizza is cut only if you get in a take away.
    4. regarding flip flops or "summer things..." well we are pretty much open. way more than before. there are still some exception like museum, churches, or high end restaurant which will refuse your entry since you are not copying their dressing code. it is more likely to be used on beach but you still can have dinner or lunch on restaurant which have dehor
    5. sandals+white socks = German wearing style
    6. very true it is a question of respect.
    7. branded names are no more produced in italy. so i suggest to go for local craftsmen shops you can find it all around big cities and you will get real handmade italian products.
    8. we are italian not deaf. but we are able to understand also foreigner if they indicate something they want.
    9. depending on the places, you may occur in italian laughing at you for your attempt, or even pulling your leg. it is highly recommended in any case to learn some common sentences in the foreigner language of the country you are going to visit. I would suggest also to try to get around with people that can know english but they are native of the country which can help you out in choosing the best food to get region by region.

I’m Italian and I can confirm your video is very accurate! Congrats and thanks for the beautiful words you spent for our lovely Country 🇮🇹 Just a copule of mistakes:
    - 12:30 “Buongiorno” means “Good morning”, if you want to say “good afternoon” that’s “buon pomeriggio”
    - as for the entrance to churches, it doesn’t really matter if your legs are uncovered (unless you’re wearing a mini-skirt which is basically the same as trying to enter in underwear 🤣) or you’re wearing sandals, both are ok, they require you to cover shoulders and don’t wear any hat, that’s it
    - as for the food, of course we have spaghetti and we have meatballs in Italy, but you won’t find spaghetti and meatballs together 🤷🏻‍♂️ finally, there’s another dish that most of foreigners believe to be typically Italian but it’s definitely not, it doesn’t exist here at all: the Alfredo sauce!

I'm italian, and I've never heard of this cappuccino-11AM rule😅
Sometimes I drink cappuccino as an afternoon snack (usually with something sweet like a croissant or a pie). Cappuccino is definetly not an only-breakfast-drink. You can drink cappuccino whenever you want without seeming odd, if you drink it alone or with a snack like a pastry or a slice of cake.
The "strangeness problem" arises when cappuccino is drunk during dinner or lunch or at the end of them.

For coffee , stick loosely to these rules:
    - Espresso or Macchiato after a meal. Those are usually the ending part of a meal, after dessert. Those two are considered light drinks, and you can have them whenever you want. Even at breakfast, you if want a quick one.
    - Cappuccino for breakfast or early mornings in general. Better along with a light snack. Cappuccino are BIG, and the milk inside makes it a heavy drink when you belly is full.
You can have one at late evening but it's considered like asking for a butter biscuits before going to bed. But if you want it anyone , no one will arrest you.
    TL;DR:
light snack/light breakfast + cappuccino/espresso/macchiato in the morning.
    full meal + espresso/macchiato.
    espresso/macchiato whenever you want.

02:58 - There is also third options, totally italian (especially in Roma) and also cheap...
You might buy, at almost anytime between 10am and 9pm, a good pizza slice in one of the thousands small pizzerie in Roma.
Normally it is not served at dish and you can take away and enjoy it while walking around visiting the town.
Taking public transportation (except trains) with such thing in your hand or with a cup of beverages is totally forbidden, so be aware of that.

    "Buongiorno" is for "Good Morning"
For "Good afternoon" we say "Buon pomeriggio".
It's much difficult than this because we have different parts of the day in our speech... but if you use these connections, you can't do a mistake.
