You have literally moved my game up a notch. I did not know how to do this and now I am so excited. I am preparing everything for my daughter's wedding. It will so pretty now that I know how to do this. You are a great "teacher"!
Thank you for doing the new video for PC's. Restarting my computer, installing all the fonts from my Downloads button in my file cabinet, and closing Cricut made all the difference! They all finally showed up in the "Systems" tab in Cricut and I was able to complete my project. A new subscriber and a fan!!! Thanks again.
Oh my gosh! Thank you! I was going crazy trying to figure this out. I watched another video and it had too many extra steps. This was so simple. I literally cheered when I succeed. THANK YOU!!!!
Thank you for making this video! I couldn't for the life of me figure out how to find the swashes for the fonts I'd downloaded, and none of their text files told me either! This was super helpful, and you've shown me how to unlock the potential of my downloaded fonts!!
Wow thank you so much for your video. I have spent hours trying to add the glyphs many different ways. I am so happy I found your tutorial and finally successful.
Thank you so much for this! I watched another video, but using the steps in that video still wasn't allowing me to add the accents/flourishes! Tried yours and it worked straightaway!
You did a great job. My issue is that you said if using a PC, hit start. I am lost at that point. I bought a font called Beautiful script, it shows up, but again, I can't get to the swashes and hearts because I don't know where I hit "start". Can you tell me exactly where I do that? Otherwise, it was great. Thank you and I subscribed and liked!
next to the windows button, there's a search button (magnifying glass), click it and start typing in 'Character Map' to get to the PC version of what she refers to. Open it and then search for the font you need and you should see the different options (looks a bit different that the MAC version but it's there). Worked for me! good luck
I can highlight my letter but it won't let me right click. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. Any suggestions? I'm also using windows with a surface pro.
I love this video, BUT I must be doing something wrong. After I upload new fonts to my mac, I checked before downloading and everything I wanted was there. Now here is the problem, when I go into my font book as you show, all the letters and stuff are not there? Any ideas? I really need some fonts with the tails.
Hey, I did a more updated version of this video because there have been a few updates since then. Try restarting your computer, and see if they show up then.
It will paste a square if the font doesn't match in design space and the one you copied from font book. Just change your font in design space and it should be good to go.
Sorry for the delay, I was out of town! When you copy the glyph you like and then paste it into design space it shows up in the text box as a square every time, but it should show up on the main design as the glyph you wanted once you clock out of the text box. Did it end up working?
@@CricutTime I had the same issue. To fix it, all I had to do was click Select after clicking the letter you want in Character Map, then make sure it's in the white bar, then click Ctrl +C and you can paste it in Design Space. Thank you so much for this tutorial! I've tried 100 times to figure this out on my own. You're the best! 😉
so I have trouble copying the font to my design space because when I l click on the text I only see one text and it is with the font that has the design, I don't have that small box on top with the text/word that I can copy paste my font to. how do I get that access in the design space? I'm new to Cricut and trying to add swash on my text... thanks in advance!
Did you get it figured out? The problem was likely that you just needed to change your font and design space so it match the same font that you copied and pasted from. I uploaded an updated video on this this morning in case you still need help!
It is just the one font you can’t see the glyphs on? Try another font (I love glitter, Samantha and shorelines all do). The problem might be the specific font you were looking at.
I cannot see my glyphs either. On any of my fonts that I downloaded from da fonts …. My font book doesn’t look like yours. It just shows the fonts. It doesn’t show all of the characters :(
@@courtneyrhoades6595 @Annie Do answered this question above. If you are on a Mac, click the 4 dots in the upper left corner and then you can see the whole font
I went to another video and it said Control V. I was hearing Control B to paste so it was not pasting. When i did control V, I was able to paste the swirl. I hope this helps.
How do you do this on iPhone/iPad please? Thank you

I’ll check it out and put a video together
I can't find the special character in my character map using the josephsophia font

Can you give iPad tutorial on this?
Good idea
I'm using cricut mat and I can't find the magnifying glass to get Samantha to get the extras your video don't show it.
Found the font but no flourishes in the download.
very nice........
For some reason, when I paste into Cricut design space, it pastes a square and no font??
It will paste a square if the font doesn't match in design space and the one you copied from font book. Just change your font in design space and it should be good to go.
i can't find the magnifying glass ???? where is it ? TYIA
This video was getting updated, so I just uploaded a new one this morning! Check it out if you still need some help!
Was so excited about this however when I went into my font book and pulled up Samantha and it did not have all the letter you had...
on a Mac, download font>open font in Font Book>top right click image of 4 squares stacked>scroll down. Hope this helps!

I can’t figure this out on my iPad ? Please help me. Thanks

@@erinkenderdine9480 no sorry. had to give up I was wasting so much time and had to look for alternative. let me know if you do!
same issue :(
I wish Cricut time would respond and explain too!!
I followed your steps, even for Samantha, but I do not see any letters with flourishes. Any insight?
Hmmm… maybe try restarting your whole computer. I don’t see mine in some programs until after I do a restart.
@@CricutTime I also do not see the special characters. I only received 84 characters... you had way more
any ideas ??
I can’t find the font Samantha
Just downloaded the font from dafont and I’m not seeing any of these extra glyphs in there. Please help
same, i dont see any extras- and you said "unlock this feature to see them?" but im not sure what you mean by that?
What application you are using?
This was on a MacBook. Which one are you using?
Do you know of any font that have the glyphs in capital letters?
Homework from dafont
what software is this please, thanks
This is on a Mac
Do this work with ipads or just computers
I haven't tried it on an iPad, but that's a good idea, I'll have to check it out and see
I am having trouble getting my swirling to attach to my letters. What am I doing wrong?
Ungroup them, move them to where you want them, then weld them together. If you have any more trouble just let me know, but this should do the trick!
I tried all the steps you showing but for some reason It dont come out....still give me the same font.
I'm having the same problem
Mine doesn’t show all that extra letters designs !
I have heard this is a problem that has been happening! I will be redoing this video with the updated design space within the next week or so!
My samantha font doesnt have these extra gliphs
You could try uninstalling and reinstalling it to see if that changes anything. I downloaded mine from dafont.com
Ok where is the search for the character map on Design space?
It’s actually on your computer instead. In this tutorial I was using a MacBook Pro and found it in Font book.
when I paste it to Cricut its just the letter not the swash

Hi, What do you mean push keyboard to unlock the additional characters?
Can't really see what you're doing because your voice captions are on top of your examples
Thanks for the feedback, I’ll check it out
I'm having trouble following what you're saying, you talk way too fast!
