LEGO Emerald Night is one of THE MOST memorable LEGO train sets. It's a shame that LEGO can't or won't make LEGO train sets like this. Well, it's probably the most memorable, other then the LEGO City High-Speed Passenger Train, the LEGO System 10001 Metroliner Train, and some others.
Depends, I just got it recently and the high speed passenger train is the one I grew up with the most. I like the emerald night more, but the high speed passenger train is for me the most memorable
I am a very blessed person. I got this set back in 2014 and that was when it was selling for about $300. It’s around $500-$600 now. Though later that year my stupid self tore it apart. I am in the process of building it back piece by piece. Having it back is like meeting an old friend. Truly a classic LEGO train. And this is coming from someone who generally dislikes British trains. LEGO, we need more like the emerald night!!!
I totally agree. The only thing about this set I don't like is only 1 wagon. I also bought this set a few years ago and paid $345 for it. It was very expensive to me at the time, but comparing to these days' standards, it would have been considered a pretty good deal :)
Just ordered this for $800 sealed in box. It was a lot but this is my favorite kit of all time. I used to own it when I was younger and I cannot wait to experience it all over again from an older age!
This train is a classic I wanted this when I was a kid and I thought I was going to get it for Christmas and I didn't see it and It broke my little heart
Lego needs to release more steams, look at the high demand of the Emerald Night, now is very expensive to get one. I really love this set, this is the best gift my parents ever made when I was a kid (even better than more expensive stuff). It aged like fine wine and I'm still admiring this and is the cherry on the top of my trains collection.
This is one of those sets I'd really like to get my hands on, but they're just so expensive, and on top of the amount of money you have to pay for that, you'd also have to buy the right components to make it run, and an extra train car to make it feel more complete
Fun fact this is based on an English Pacific class that was created by sir Nigel Gresly for the LNER line it looks like the flying Scotsman after its redevelopment in 2017/18
The black parts on the cockpit are placed wrong in this video. The black windows should be in front of the triangular little piece. Not the other way around as in this video. Except from this tiny mistake it's a great video. Thank you.
My dad had bought one of these for my birthday in 2009. He bought it at the time for €50. All this time it has been in my cabinet whilst I didn't know how expensive these have gotten. Kinda wish I kept it in the box.
I had this train 8 Years ago But i shattered it apart as a little kid. Im probably going to Try to find all the pieces tommorrow cuz Im bored! Wish Me luck :) Update: i found all the pieces for the locomotive and tende, except one of the Dark green pieces with the Gold stripes (of course the most expensive one)
Kann man das Set eigentlich nur noch auf Ebay und Amazon zu diesen Mega Preisen kaufen oder auch noch im Lego Shop vor Ort? :/ Kenne mich mit Sammlerstücken usw nicht richtig aus. 😥
Yup I am sure that this was based on the Flying Scotsman. The tender and numbers are different, but the livery, body style and wheel arrangement are the same.
@@AustrianBrickFan you can also get instructions online and buy all the pieces by the way thank you for making a speed build of this I'm using the techniques for my stalingrad train moc this really helped
+The Lego King i pause filming between the sequences and lay the next pieces right beside me not in view angle of the camera, between 10 and 100 pcs every time. this varies with the difficulty, the size of the object and much more criterials....
Marcovnikov Chung he records putting a piece on, them cuts the film, figures out the next step, and does the next clip. Plus the thing is on time lapse

I’m doing the exact same right now and it’s going good but I think I’m missing like 2 pieces that have stickers on them:(

My favorite lego set. So weird but nostalgic.
yeah
The best Lego Set ever.
Just ordered this for $800 sealed in box. It was a lot but this is my favorite kit of all time. I used to own it when I was younger and I cannot wait to experience it all over again from an older age!
C'est un vrai plaisir de vous regardez sur Internet
what????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????
This set is better than those of the Hogwarts Express, the locomotive looks like a real one.
Oh wow, that is a beautiful build. The engine itself doesn't even look like it's made of Lego.
That's what I thought
Ya
your right!!!!! is not a lego anymore! that engine from lego to rego (real life lego!)
gennaro gerrard that genuinely is based of a real model known as the a3 Pacific in the UK
this is my favourite train in LEGO!!!
I wish I had that train set, it looks beautiful!
Great video. Thank you for posting it.

Have you bought it already?
@@badassmouse8575 no not yet I'm thinking of buying it but I'd have to save 900 USD
Same it happened to me but I got a better Lego train set for Christmas like the cargo steam train
Looks like the Flying Scotsman 🚂🇬🇧
Cuz it is
i watched this when i was small and now that i watch it when im grown up feels so nostalgic.

oh man das ist mein größter lego traum diese lok zu besitzen ♥ ♥
Awesome train
Train looks so good, it doesn’t need the tender to look proper
Yeah the tender is a really nice touch
Speed Build Review of 10194 Emerald Night
what's that music?
Heikki, ootko suomalainen?
Mä oon😀
Jos oot hauska nähdä täälläki suomalaisia
One of best lego sets i think.
Yes its even expensive, Idk why it is but its an Old Lego Set.
There's some reasons why it's expensive: 1 big box = big price. 2 Lego creator expert . 3 very large set .
@@gabrielalopez7644and demand and rarity

R.I.P sets from lego city 2009

i wish lego would do more sets like this with custom piston rods to make it look better
One of the most expensive lego Train

Back in 2009 I saw this set on discount in my local store being priced of for €75 (around 80$) till this day I regret it That I didn't bought it...

The prototype is the LNER Class A3 if anyone wonders
Even though I don't think it would be possible, I would love to see someone make a Union Pacific Big Boy. Just saying.

Maybe that's Emily from Thomas and the Tank Engine
Yup I am sure that this was based on the Flying Scotsman. The tender and numbers are different, but the livery, body style and wheel arrangement are the same.
😊
For some reason. When I first saw this. I thought it was the flying scottsman 😞
How do you make The sticks in the wheels move correctly?
i don´t understand where the problem is, explain it detailed or check instructions of the set, if you made a mistake
AustrianLegoFan no, it is not a set, i'm Making my own train but every time i put them on They get stuck and don't roll
I've tried many ways to make it work but it still doesn't work
Did you... did you... just call them sticks 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 they are called side rods or contraction rods
Bro doesn't know train logic 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

If the engine color was scarlet, it would have resembled the legendary Hogwarts express.
Not really, completely different locomotive. Don't just say it looks like it because it is a steam locomotive.
I wonder if I would be cheaper off buying the parts from bricklink rather than buying the set for 500-1000$
no chance, some parts are not in production anymore and super expensive, eg the tan train window
THIS IS THE POLAR EXPRESS!
That"s not the polar express its emerald night train is based of flying scotsman
Lego Creator
fantasty
I remember wanting this set 3yrs ago but it costed like 800€ so I just bought a chinese offbrand for a tenth of the price.
what does his company supposed to be? (not lego, I mean on his tender)
It is a shame Lego didn't fill in the coal tender, that looks very empty
If you have your own black bricks, you could cover it up if you have the set.
4:44 I'm sorry but it bothers me that you put it on the train just to take it off again.
why?
It kind of looks like the flying Scottsman
OMG I JUST SAID THIS TO 200000000 COMMENTS IT IS THE FLYING SCOTTMAN KID
Does an electic motor com with it by default?

Why is the middle wheel smaller?
Because it doesn't have a Wreath. The Locomotive couldn't go around the very tight Lego Courves if it had one
