TOP 3 LUXURY NORTH INDIA HOTELS (Taj Theog Shimla; Rakkh Resort Palampur; Kikar Lodge Punjab)

- I recently went on a tour of north India with the small escorted group travel specialist Jules Verne. Everywhere we stayed was lovely, but this video shows my top 3 luxury north India hotels, which were the Taj Theog near the hill station of Shimla in the Himalayas as well as the Rakkh Resort Palampur, also in the Himalayan foothills, and lastly the Kikar Lodge in the Punjab.

1. THE RAKKH RESORT, PALAMPUR
This is so much more than a hotel. It's a retreat with the most gorgeous accommodation and views of the mountains. The hotel's near local tea plantations and the local tea is available to drink in your room and the restaurant. The hotel also offers guided morning treks through the local village and the plantations. The resort has the most stunning pool as well as a 'Sky Bike' - watch my short video to see more of this scary hotel attraction. The hotel offers yoga lessons, weaving lessons and amazing Indian cuisine.
2. THE KIKAR LODGE - this is in forest in the Punjab and is India's only hotel to offer adventure jeep safaris - there are even leopards here (though they're very shy) as well as lots of cannabis plants! The video shows the accommodation (there are lots of cheeky monkeys and chipmunks) as well as its pools.
3. THE TAJ THEOG RESORT -
This was one of my favourite hotels of all time. It's an hour north of the hill station Shimla, but oh the views. I loved everything about this hotel - I just wish I could have stayed longer to enjoy the pool and go trekking in the local area. - บันเทิง

oh Joe, wasn't that dog ADORABLE? I loved her. I travelled to India in October and it was warm in the day and cool at nights, especially when we were high in the mountains. But it was a good time of year to go. No rain and not too hot or humid...It's cold here in London too. I'm craving some heat...and some sun, actually!! Hopefully Spring is round the corner...XXX
