Previously we showed you what some frozen grocery store meals were like th-cam.com/video/7z4FbrD4IGc/w-d-xo.html. This time we're trying out a healthy frozen meal delivery service. If you use Google Translate, you can see what the service is about Shunsugu website shunsugu.jp/. (FYI: Not sponsored, I always tell people if there's a sponsor)

This is a great idea for singles, couples, family with picky eaters and people that work long hours and don't have time to cook. Also for example like in my house I don't cook on Sundays but my 2 sons aren't in the mood to cook either. BTW what are you feeding your boy he grew up so quick.

In Poland we don't have frozen foods' delivery as such that I know of, but we do have a big market for frozen veggies, mainly due to our climate. I have my fave brand that I grew up with, and I'm pretty loyal, manly due to their quality. And you can buy everything frozen - from bags of single veggies, fruit to whole pasta dishes, soups, meals with meat, pierogi and dumplings. It's convenient, and in winter I often make batches of meat and just use different frozen veggies every day. However, I have recently used Allegro - kind of a Polish Amazon - to buy some Polish artisan pickles (a bit like tsukemono, no vinegar) with delivery to my local parcel locker. It came in a box with an ice-pack and all the glass jars were intact. So, I guess it's an option now, too.

Don't peel off the whole plastic film before microwaving... instead, poke holes (don't have to be many, several pokes with a 4-tinge fork would be more than enough) with a fork (or just peel off the film a little bit in one corner). The point is to keep the steam inside and it will cook faster with more moisture trapping within the food for a better cook and taste. It will prevent the food from drying and shriveling up. The poking holes or the peeled corner will keep the whole plate from exploding in the microwave because of pressure build up within the plate.

This is an awesome video. I thought frozen ready-made meal delivery was a US thing. It was nice to see through this video that it also exists in Japan. If only we can get that variety of Japanese food here in the US.

Love the party dishes! Great value. Ours are about $8 to $15 per meal.
I’ve never considered replating a frozen meal before, looks good.

Once again I wish these sorts of things were available where I lived. It looks so nice and delivery to the door? Nutritious and affordable? Not where I live but thanks to youtube I can live vicariously and dream.

I think theirs works out nice for college kids or when people are single. These look really well balanced and affordable. I think the US would been benefit from this.

That's very nice, convenient, and because they are made locally, freshness looks to be a company priority.

I know the focus of this video was the frozen food packages, but like many others mentioned in the comments, I was stunned by how much more mature Shin is in the video! He looks so grown up! I guess it’s also because I haven’t caught up on LWIF videos in quite a while, but it suddenly struck me how long I’ve been enjoying the LWIF channel.
Also, I quite enjoyed how everyone reacted to the really long menu names. :)

Here in Germany we have multiple delivery services for frozen goods including meals, but they're delivering on a (bi-?)weekly schedule not on-demand the next day. They've existed for a long time and I remember my grandma (and for a little while also my parents) receiving deliveries. I'd say the product quality is quite good for some ingredients (like vegetables and fruits) and bakery products as well as ice cream but the frozen meals are not only underwhelming but rather expensive, too. It certainly is convenient not having to haul frozen stuff from the supermarket home but other than that I don't have any use for such services.

This was so interesting to watch. Makes me wonder if this kind of business model may work in my area, though considering our cheap food delivery services it might not. But I can definitely see it working for singles / couples or elderly living alone

As a single male who works non-regular shifts, i would definitely buy this services if it was available in Canada... Tho i would probably need three -four dishes per meal.

These would be good for someone like me.
I live alone in 18.5sqft apartment (Chiba), and its frustrating for me to try to make anything from scratch because I have no counter-space (I have a single IH, a sink, a fridge and a microwave) so I often just buy frozen dinners from the grocery store.
These look tasty! And I love how much variety there is! I love how the website labels which foods are Spicy (I don't do well with anything too spicy) as well, which is helpful when there are foods I want to try. I'm going to look into this more, and once my current frozen dinner stash runs low (Small freezer), I might see if I can get some from here.
Also, Aiko and Shin have grown so much! I can't believe it's been 6 years!
