I keep watching these and they keep being good. We know, but we could use the reminder five times a day!

"That which is killing us is not us." That's very powerful. So I don't hate my real Self. It just seems like that because of my identification with the finite "self," which in fact is not me and has nothing to do with me.

Symphonically holographic! However many times the message is heard, it's glimpsed through another facet of the diamond sutra.

I disagree with this statement in the Big Book: "Many of us said to our Maker, as we understood Him: “God, I offer myself to Thee-to build with me and to do with me as Thou wilt." I think the "as we understood Him" language throughout the Big Book is a big problem. The "we" is the false finite self. The false finite self is only going to understand a false finite god of its own finite understanding. It is effectively offering itself to itself, which is more playing god. That's the point of this video. We cannot use our traditional understanding of God as a man (Him) in the sky to accomplish this. The false self/ego is not going to do anything to threaten its own existence. So "as we understood him" is not going to work. That's the same "we" and the same "understanding" that got us in trouble. We need to ditch our prior understanding of God. If we correctly understood God (and who we are) to begin with, we wouldn't be in any trouble.

Wow. So most of the time when "we" pray, it is really just the small individual finite self praying to a god created in its own finite image. That prayer inevitably doesn't work, because it is a prayer by the false self to a false god. It's just another way of the self playing god. So it makes things seem even worse, and makes us think that this "god" of our own imagination hates us and we are not worthy of being helped. It just digs the imaginary hole deeper.
