I just bought a "mint" oneplus 10T in August 2024 for $190 shipped! How can anyone beat that performance, that screen, that speed, and speed racer charging, etc for that price?!!! 😅🎉💯
I've got to complement you on this review! You went over some features and performance that no other reviewer has covered, and ['ve watched a bunch of 10T reviews!! Very Thorough! Nice going!
I work at a retail store that sells OnePlus devices and just bought a brand new demo unit 10T (still sealed in the box) for €199. Since I work with live demo units of OnePlus I can easily get rid of the demo mode so that's great. I bought it for my grandma as her Xiaomi phone from 5 years ago is toast
I just talked to Oneplus tech support yesterday and they said "demo" phones are not to be sold to consumers. Demo phones also never get any security updates or new Android version updates. I know, I got sold a demo phone from a guy on ebay, and the phone never updated and said it was up to date at Feb, 2021, and it's August 2024! 3.5 years of never getting an update or security updates! And stuck on Android 11. Not a phone you want... Trust me. Don't trust me?, trust Oneplus tech support! They told me all of that.
@@KOrnhOliO1 @KOrnhOliO1 I guess they don't want you to buy demo phones then because most of the ones we have from OnePlus are just resettable once you get demo mode off. The OnePlus 10T I bought immediately updated first from android 12 to 13 and then up to the most recent OxygenOS 14 available for the 10T.
How would you compare the one plus 10 pro vs the 1 plus 10t . All i care about is battery life because everything else is just really close i dontvcare about alert slider
Since its 2 years old, the battery on most oneolus phones youll find is old and wont last as long, it shouldnt much of a problem since it charges so fast, but something to consider when buying used
@surpriseyt2485 That's not true! Battery will be fine IF YOU DON'T USE THOSE RIDICULOUSLY FAST CHARGERS! Batteries are not meant to be charged so fast. It wears them out much, much faster because you are slamming so much power into them so fast. 150 watt charger? Notice how Apple only gives 24 watt chargers? And Samsung's aren't even close to 150 watts... Not even close to half that! They're building in obsolescence! They want you to buy new phones more often! I charge my phone overnight on the slowest charger I can find. Seriously. 💯 Overnight is plenty of time to slow charge any phone. I literally use a 1 watt old fashioned charger from several years ago! I used to have a 0.7 watt super old charger, but I misplaced it. Both work awesome and my battery is always like new! It's treated ultra mellow! Lol There's no reason to force that much power into a battery that fast! Just charge overnight or while working. It's easy that way. 😎👍
I hate to break it to you, but no smartphone has a decent camera! It's because the sensors are dinky in phones! Super tiny! I don't care if it's got 50mp or 200mp, the sensors are tiny! Mp doesn't mean much. I stopped caring about smartphone cameras. They're fine for snap shots, but no serious person interested in photography or video uses a phone! Not unless they left their real camera at home! Lol I carry a pocket camera with me every time I go out. It's really small but really powerful, with high end 2500 buck camera body features. Seriously. It's the Sony ZV1. It's 1 inch sensor is about 3 or 4 times the size of a smartphones sensor! Megapixels make little difference if the cameras sensor is tiny. And, that Sony I bought that's way smaller in overall size than a smartphone, but thicker. It's got a much smaller sensor than APS-C or especially full frame cameras sensors. Google: different sensor sizes for cameras. You'll be blown away how microscopic smartphone sensors are! And how much bigger real cameras sensors are. Bigger sensor means incredibly better image quality! So much better! 😊
Even iphones are a hit and miss. It all depends on the lighting, angle, distance, etc. Watch phone camera comparisons. You can have the best camera phone and lower tier phones can have the same quality if not better. I had an S10e and people were surprised how well it took pictures and they were comparing it with their iphone. My co-worker had the S24 Ultra and I now have the base S24 model. He too was surprised how good a base model phone was.
That's an interesting choice, but that price you're not that far away from 12R. Of course Pixel 7 pros are available now for $329. Pixel 7 for 269 refurbished at Best buy the . The Motorola thinkphone is what interests me though at 399 revenue
Ive been using my 10t since release in 2022.. since I've had 125 w charging I refuse to go back down to anything slower.theres nothing like being able to charge to full in 10-20min when im on the go or in a rush.. that's one of the reasons I haven't upgraded to the 12 or 12R.im still getting good battery life, cpu is still snappy and i swear this camera is underrated and got as many good compliments in a blind pic comparison on instagram vs my sons pixel 7..but has waaay better charging, battery, performance and twice the ram 8gb vs 16gb before i even use the extra 8gb virtual ram..id say the quality fir the money is superior to pixel 7
@@cobaltblue5523 it's still doing really well 2 years later I'd say I have about 85 to 90% of the battery life that i had when i bought it.. dies maybe in an hour or two quicker than it did before (maybe 8 hours screen-on time instead of 10) but I'm not really worried about that because I have a 80 watt charger in the car and a 125 w charger at home so I'm back up and running within a few minutes if it does get low
@RJ_Uploads true the base model is 128GB although there's a 256GB version with 16GB RAM too :) @michaelcorcoran8768 I guess it depends on if a deal is available for 12R...currently on Amazon it's still 2x more expensive than 10T ($250 vs. $400-$600) which might still be a significant gap for some...great point on PIxel (only caveat is Tensor chips aren't as energy efficient so some might not like the thermals but everything else is good)...also agree re: moto thinkphone is another underrated option! (tho it seems OP 10T is even cheaper now...might be one the most "budget" 8+ Gen 1 phones these days :)

I really like this design better than the OnePlus 12, my only gripe is the storage should be at least 256gb other wise great review OS👍🏾👍🏾
And you can buy them with 256gb of storage and 16gb of RAM if you want one. 😎👍
