this is the first time I have heard AbubakarTafawa Balewa speaks. This brother was poetry in motion, his dictions ebbs and flows like the many rivers of Africa and his dulcet bass tones. He also demonstrated a dignified and simple manner of talking and greeting people. damn..

Tope, in relative terms, he was. The man only went to a two year teachers college and then to London for teacher training for ONE year. Relative to his comrades/contemporaries (the trio) , he was therefore a dwarf, educationally, that is. This fact notwithstanding, I admire his political temperament and I think he is an exceptionally wise man. I only wish present Nigerian leaders have as much integrity and wisdom as the late Sir Balawa.

Each time one listens to the recorded speech of the Late Sir Abubakar, one couldnt but notice his eloquence and scholarly ability. For a better picture of him, try and check the documentary of his his 1961 visit to the United States. Speaks volume of the education that we receive today.

A true statesman from Nigeria's greatest generation. Very articulate, his demeanor and apparent simplicity are attributes of a leader. When our leaders of today speak in the executive or legislative chambers, you can barely make sense of what they are saying. Something is definitely wrong with the quality of our education in this day and age. We need to go back to basics and put grammar back in grammar schools.

Talk2me9ja: For a foolani Nigerian you are just as ignorant as your compatriots. Only you did not know that Mazi Odumegwu Ojukwu, (Ojukwu's father) was the richest man in Africa before he died. Or that he was a palm oil and groundnut merchant. Or that Ojukwu spent a considerable portion of his father's money executing the war. A fool at forty is foolani for ever!!! ALL HAIL BIAFRA

We don't need English Grammar anywhere in Africa . We shall be proud with our native languages that will give us an opportunity to develop our potential in any field .
That's the problem with us Africans ... we equate English with knowledge . That was why we're backwards in our continent . Chinese , Germans , Italians , Japanese , Russian etc are all advanced in Science and technology etc with out knowing how to speak some one language .

    • @aliyuabba4575
      @aliyuabba4575 2 ปีที่แล้ว

@@mabs8652 All those countries you mentioned have a single language to communicate nation wide. So the question is, how do we communicate with a single language in Nigeria considering our diverse dominant languages? Should we use Hausa, Igbo or Yoruba for our single administrative purposes?

The lust for northernization of Nigeria & unpreparedness for leadership eventually gave Nigeria away to irreparable redemption.
Northern & southern Nigerians never fought for our independence with one voice. Nigeria was just a geographical representation where colonists merged together for selfish interest.
Her political leaders negotiated their independence based on regional interest against national interest.
The hope is, things will definitely correct itself with time. Restructuring synced with time will reform Nigeria @ the end.

May ur soul rest in perfect peace our first and only prime minister. You earnestly strive ur utmost to assist in building Nigeria into united nation.Nigeria has really been missing u since ur dirth time. Becouse the leaders of today cannot be discribed in any good discription. Hoever, today there is meaninglessness in phylosophy, insecurity in politics, immorality in society, corruption in economic, prostration in art and even lack of creativity in literature.

Nigeria will go a long long way to find such a leader again, in actual fact there is high probability that they will never do. Such quality leaders will always be eliminated by the foolish/greedy politicians we have all over the country, because such idiots no nothing but greed, cruelty, fraud, political murder and anything wrong you may think of.

"This nation called Nigeria shall be an estate to us from our great - grand father, Uthman Dan Fodio. We shall vigorously resist a change of power. We shall manipulate the minorities of the north, and we shall regard the South as a conquered territory."
--- Ahmadu Bello, Sultan of Sokoto, Parrot Magazine Wednesday October 12, 1960.
"The conquest to the sea is now in sight. When our godsent Ahmadu Bello said some years ago that our conquest will reach the sea shores of Nigeria, some idiots in the South were doubting its possibilities. Today have we not reached the sea? Lagos is reached. It remains Port Harcourt. It must be conquered and taken after December 30, 1964."
---- Mallam Bala Garuba West African Pilot December 30, 1964.

Doc Gee, how are they over rated? What is the percentage overshoot? You sound ridiculous. The fact that GEAJ might be mentally feeble does not diminish the well demonstrated intellectual superiority (at least in the academic sense) the South has held over the North for years. Indeed, it appears as if you yourself have a problem with the language. Read your comment and you may agree with me. That is of course if ......
