  • This is the North St level crossing at Kempsey, located on the north coast of NSW, Australia. These gated signals were installed on May 21, 2004 and replaced the previous gate-less signals.
Both gated signals have Western Cullen Hayes gate mechanisms, Alstom lights and Western Cullen Hayes mechanical bells. The bell on the western side rings until the gates have lowered, while the older bell on the eastern side rings until the gates rise. The eastern bell sounds like it could be dying, as it rings very quietly from time to time.
There is an extra signal on the western side of the crossing with a pair of Alstom lights and a Western Cullen Hayes base.
    Train info:
1st train: NT32 XPT service from Brisbane to Sydney.
2nd train: 3WB3 steel from Port Kembla to Brisbane, with locomotives NR96, NR93, 8118 and 8254.
    Filmed on May 10, 2017.
