I remember the grand china restaurant back when I was a child in the mid 90s , it was such a mystical place , it was always so Smokey in there and we would get poopoo platters with the 🔥 at the top . I used to think it was really China in there , my dad always used to say “we’re going to China tonight” . My mom always used to complain about the smoke , but I thought that the smoke made the vibe and aesthetic all the more mystical . We ended up moving to Florida in 03 when I was 11. I’m almost 30 now and even to this day I still miss Salem and think about it all the time . I lived right next to Millville lake and used to swim there all the time we’d swim out to the island and jump off the old tree .
