    Wonderful explaination. Crisp and precise. Let me add for viewers : at 5.58 the fig of 9.4.... is a constant and remains same always ( rpm / radian per sec convertion).

    That is to the point and correct calculations. You should take gradient effect also while riding on slope.

      power is given by the product of the torque with the angular frequency. The number 9.5488 is converting a frequency in RPM to an angular frequency in 1/s

      T=P/(2piN/60)
      T=(60/2pi)×(P/N)

    How to choose battery or calculation for battery required

      Power requirement of the motor
      Voltage of the battery pack above the required voltage of motor
      C rating of the battery pack, depends on how much current your motor needs
      Capacity of the battery pack, to determine range
      Let's take 18650 cells
      Now depending on the voltage requirement of the motor, you have to build a pack to be able to deliver that much voltage even when the battery is low
      So let's say the motor controller requires 120V
      Taking minimum voltage (discharged) of 18650 cell to be 3V (for better health)
      You need 40 of them in series
      Now see the current requirements of the motor system at peak power
      And atleast build a pack that can give 150% of that current safely
      So that much battery pack should be connected in parallel to meet the requirements
      Or to skip all the above headache you can go with readymade prismatic cells or readymade battery packs
      So now consider you have built the battery pack for the minimum requirements
      And motor rating is 5kW
      And your battery pack capacity is 5kWh
      That means it can run at max load for 1 hour
      Now keep adding cells in parallel to increase capacity
      This was very amateur explanation
      But this should give you an idea
      And this is just estimations
      You need to keep safety in mind
      And install proper protection circuit and charging circuit

      generally, it is considered 85%(low gear) and 90%(direct drive)

      This formula is used world wide
      Convert power in hp and put here
