You don’t break someone’s neck by accident!
100%.
I'm surprised they didn't tell us he just fell and broke his own neck
It can happen, only because I know it happened during a use of force training at my unit years ago. He broke his C1, but was miraculously not paralyzed or killed. He recovered pretty well, and ended up getting a medical discharge. Really good dude, and a total freak accident.
However, I do have my doubts about this case, as there's at least some circumstantial issues surrounding the incident that make it seem shady.

Dorner? Yes, I remember.
The Donner Party, led by George Donner and James F. Reed, became stranded in the Sierra Nevada during their 1846-1847 journey from Illinois to California. Hindered by delays and harsh conditions, they attempted to cross Donner Pass but were trapped by heavy snowfall. Ill-prepared for winter, the pioneers faced starvation, resorting to cannibalism for survival. A rescue party, led by Reed, reached them in early 1847, but of the approximately 87 members, only around 48 survived. The Donner Party tragedy stands as a stark example of the difficulties and dangers of 19th-century westward migration.

Hope he’s found heaven
While on the job a long time ago, I was once asked by a legal representative the question; "Do you know why you wear a vest?" I said "enlighten me." He said "the front is to protect you from suspects you encounter and the back is to protect you from your co-workers." That resonated with me. There is truth to that statement that I do not doubt. I witnessed this first hand with myself and others; with corrupt officers at my department. Needless to say, that career ended after 6 years. I was better off anyway and no amount of money could get me back in the saddle after what I experienced. My condolences to the family of that Officer.
Tell your story tell everything you know make it public
Dude what state did that happen to you in?

I'll just say this... If you experience things in this tight lipped culture that you do not condone nor align with (person or situation), you WILL have a proverbial "target on your back" because you are a threat to them and their good ol boy network.. Certain controversial events, situations, and the like that you are aware of and know details to will get swept under the carpet and die at the vine. It at times felt like it was taboo to ever speak on situations you did not agree with and it was made known to you that it was not appreciated (IA complaints all of a sudden, shift changes, duty assignment changes etc. etc.) Basically they try to make your work life a challenge to do to try and force you out. At that point it doesn't matter the accolades you achieved, your training background, instructor certification, intermediate and advanced POST certs, your career will be done because at the end of the day, no matter how well you did and knew your job, it is people in higher positions whom have questionable characters that are the gatekeepers that decide your fate.... Your in a catch 22 situation.. Your only relevant until your not.
Your department sucks if that’s what they’re teaching you. I’ll enlighten you. The front is to protect what comes towards you. The back is in place when you get caught off guard and need to run for cover. You may have a valid point of other officers shooting you because your department won’t give the necessary training for you clowns with guns.
⛔️ *Even if they can’t prove murder they can still prove negligent homicide. No one should ever be pile driving another person.*
It doesn't even make sense as an accident.
May the light of Justice shine upon this case and the criminal(s) be punished !

My college prof had 40 years in LE, had been police chief in three different cities. He took me under his wing and i learned so much from him. Yes police have a history of being bad guys. Many of us had hoped to help change that image, but it takes a long time and efforts by many.

I always hated seeing the pile driver in wrestling. Even if it’s fake, that is the most dangerous move.
*piledriver
Same like the undertaker tombstone. Just realizing how dangerous wrestling is compared to when I was a child has been shocking

In 2001, a 13 year old boy was charged as an adult for the murder of a 6 year old girl. He was sentenced to life in prison for a piledriver.
Imagine what happens to civilians...😳
Google ‘LAPD gangs.’ There are literally police gangs within the department & they are brutal. It is actually insane.
The pipe bomb in mail joke would actually become real then
Cops are civilians

Got killed by a Pile Driver? I don’t believe LAPD officially teaches this anymore in training, and the fact it was a seasoned cop who did this just tells me this was in no way shape or form an accident. This tactic should’ve never been used in the first place, regardless of the intentions.
This is outrageous. Thoughts and prayers go out to the officer and his family. He needs justice and it wouldnt be the first time the lapd was under the microscope

They killed Chris Dorner for the same reason
They did the same thing to Chris Dorner. Took his career and he snapped because he was a whistle blower against other LAPD misconduct and brutality.
EXACTLY
Correct. That's why he went after his former supervisors. Take from me, I take from you.
Yeah buddy, that’s not what they did to CD, CD did all that to himself! But you go ahead and speculate though, because most dum dums on here speculate anyway.
Thank u for saying no one says that or how the cops shot innocent people thinking it was him and that went away too.
Came here to mention Dorner

This is the toughest thing any good police officer faces is dealing with bad officers!
Doing time in la county jail, I saw and heard deputies do some pretty shady things. I saw 3 older senior sargents try and blackmail a young deputy. I was behind a wall and they didn't realize I was there. The young deputy stood his ground. Pretty amazing. They threatened to set him up, to beat him and to get him fired. But the young deputy stood his ground. Brave kid. All because he wouldn't burn a report an inmate was going to file. 2010 year
The LAPD is a gang
Its time audio cams are required to be on 24/7 when at work
Do you knew what happened to him?
RIP CHRISTOPHER DORNER! & TO ALL THE OFFICERS BETRAYED BY THE LAPD.
Can't corner the Dorner!
My condolences to the family of this brave officer🙏🏼 Praying God will comfort and strengthen all those grieving
If they'll allow them to do that to one of their own, imagine what they get away with when it comes to civilians.
Hope this officer gets justice. Corruption is everywhere, my neighbor's son worked for the fire dept 4 of the firefighters were accused of drinking and getting high during working hrs. He feared for his life because he was a witness and told the truth. Later on he was fired and the 4 were back. Corruption to the max👹

U know how to tell if a policeman is lying? His mouth is moving.💔
These guys are terrifying.
Reminds me of Mike's son in Better Call Saul. "Nothing makes an officer more dangerous than threatening him with jail"

This is why it is important that citizens stay strapped. Would you really feel safe having someone like the dude, who killed another officer who was investigating him, and the Chief covered for him? If they are willing to do this to another officer, imagine what they would do to a regular civilian.
The officer they killed likely had a gun on himself.
Perhaps it wasn't on his person if they were doing hand to hand.
But the officers all knew each other. Being armed would do nothing for this cop
Exactly
The officer was strapped and made no difference lmfao
Yes, U.S. citizens need to be armed, morally corrupt people exist in every sector of society, police force included.
Exactly
And this is why there are no “good cops.” They don’t live very long. My condolences to this young mans family. I hope they get justice.
Crazy opinion! I’ve met hundreds of good officers, and im a former street criminal.
what a dumbass statement...so by that logic if any man is a serial killer, ALL men are serial killers..if one man is a pedophile, then there are no good men and all are pedophiles...SHUT THE HELL UP DUMBASS
If we had good cops they would turn in the bad cops, human rights would exist, they would be able to relate with successful people, they wouldn't have defaced divided our flag, technology wouldn't have surpassed law and it wouldn't be me telling you that your house is not locked unless you have a double cylinder dead bolt and you are home with a key turned half way from the inside. Cops just want to sell security systems so you have extra proof your college children were stabbed to death.
