    The accuracy is extremely good. That kind of reliability and accuracy is what you pay for. A very nice meter, and great review!

    I'm happy to have had my Fluke 175 for over 10 faultless years now, and it's still fully functional 🤓👍

    The accuracy is impressive, but I wouldn’t expect anything else from a Fluke. I would bet if you worked this meter hard for twenty years and tested it again nothing would change. Fluke products are expensive but you really do get what you pay for. My 87-original version from 1994 is still going strong, as they say “buy once cry once”.

    That was impressive accuracy. They may be expensive, but typically they will last you a lifetime.

    Very surprisingly accurate meter. Then again it's fluke haha. It be interesting to see you add the backlight feature.

    Well this is why Fluke are at the top end of the price range...cheers. Edit - Omg that backlight's a shocker I didn't expect that ! if you can find a way to mod that for a reasonable price then I think it would be a great thing to do, mind you the tight bastards could have made it standard ffs...cheers.

    It's a True Rms version of the 77-4 . I love mine.

    Very impressed by the accuracy. I trust Fluke, but I would also be curious to see if it's consistent if you bought a random one from a distributor rather than being sent one specifically to review. Far from unheard of to bin higher quality for reviewers.

    The Fluke 175 has been my meter of choice for 10 years. Does everything I need.

      You can even add the backlight feature to it easily!

      That’s interesting about adding the back light

    I only have a 177. It already has a back light. For general day to day abuse, I prefer the old 27/FM military beater model.

    Good review. It would have been nice to see a cheep meter in the back ground out of interest. I love 9v batteries they last forever in my old fluke silicon leads should be a must but I guess you would have to pay more.

    Pretty nice review video I was going to get this meter But went with the BK Precision but could not come across a video of somebody showing how fast continuity reading was .. On this fluke model Thanks for sharing 👍

    You can consider connecting a shake sensor to the backlight button. Just give it a bit of a shake to turn on the backlight.

    • @TheDefpom
      @TheDefpom  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      That is an interesting idea, I have just found that having a backlight would be handy (working on my motorhome house battery bank) so I’ve ordered a keypad with the backlight button on it 👍

    Question....
    At the end of the day would you call it a solid meter for electronics?
    Minus the lack of ua range?
    Can you compensate via ma range?

  • @mart43
    @mart43 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    I have the exact same multimeter, I am very happy with it. Also, there are cheaper keypads available on eBay by the way, around 20 pounds in the UK.

    I'm just asking, is there anything on the back of that meter that's made in America?

  • @KissAnalog
    @KissAnalog 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Thumbs up as I appreciate your work! But seriously, most readings are showing just 2 digits, so any rounding would be perfect - your word. Why don’t you try 0.95 mA instead
    Of 1 mA. Oh, because Pomona / Fluke (same company) gave you the meter. Amprobe also the same company provides a much better meter at a lower cost and with far better leads. BTW, a $10 meter would have scored just as well in this testing.

      I have done exactly the same tests on Kaiweets meters too, no bias is present, I have other meters lined up to test too which you can’t even buy anymore, just because it will be interesting.

      I’m hoping that as I’m the only one that is taking the time (and has the means) to put these multimeters on a calibrator to check how good they really are, that it gives a good point of difference from the other reviews that are out there.

    You shouldn't have removed that hair that's what was making that particular meter that accurate. 😄
