    Is there a benefit to laying out the drums as samples in arrangement view instead of using drum rack?

      Seeing the waveforms can be beneficial, easier to really see what’s happening, especially helpful when dealing with the bigger more sustained elements or loops. Hats can be midi

      Easier to shape also with fade in/fade out, can variate hits to make them sound more natural

      @ I can see that although you can drag the midi a little bit in order to give it that natural feel.

      they've just been taken from a sample pack, this isn't a particularly original way of achieving the liquid sound

    You're really just grabbing sample pack breaks and layering them? I guess i understand, but you're going to have the most generic drums in the world if you do this, lmao
