Ever since Mario Kart 7 Nintendo has been very quick to confirm Waluigi as a character.
You'd be surprised at the amount of Waluigi fans as of late. I guess ever since 7 didn't include him, they've been trying to make up for that

This trailer confirms 3 characters, while two of them were for sure playable and it shows some really nice HD graphics.

This might be the least effort any Mario Sports game has ever had... where are the special character specific powers? Where are the gimmick courts? Where's the actual effort? Also those constant mega cutscenes are already annoying, I can't imagine how intrusive they are to the gameplay when actually playing.

It's going to be dead in like 2 weeks lol. I bet those Mega Mushrooms are forced to be used, just like those one special spaces. Nintendo is still tending to the younger demographic. Not the demographic as a whole, but the ones that have complete trouble playing videogames. Handholding, etc.
Sadly I believe they dropped those since Mario Power Tennis. Also there WAS an ice court in this trailer (Waluigi vs Daisy) just a very subtle texture on the court. I'm willing to give it a little more time to wow me, otherwise it's gonna be only a time killer...

I figured Daisy & Waluigi would return, and I'm glad to see them, but I'm hoping to see Rosalina revealed soon since she was cut from Mario Tennis Open due to time and replaced by Luma. I hope she actually gets a Sports Dress this time and isn't wearing her normal dress like in Mario Golf World Tour.

I've only seen a little bit of the other ones but didn't the characters have personalized tennis smashes or something? I hope thats still a thing.
Hasn't been a thing since the GameCube and GBA days sadly. It's what turns me off when it comes to this game and what made me despise Mario Tennis Open

I just don't get what's new on this game... Just the giant mushroom? :/... I have played Mario Party 10 on the wiiu, and i think this game will be something like that. Just a 30 minute game, playable 2 - 3 times before you get bored. By the way, i want to test it and say something more.

I seriously hope they won't be so generic with the characters in this game, because honestly, one of the main reasons why I would even buy this is for creative, fun characters. TheRedEnderman1 I'm not taking that as an excuse. Yes, it is sad that he is gone and it won't be the same. We have to move on. Nintendo has said nothing of their line up this holiday season and we would like to know. I don't want dataminers telling me news. We are due for a direct and you know that. The more quiet they are, the louder the noise gets.
It's stupid. Yes Iwata's passing was horrible, but it's been a while now. They're being stupid and not communicating with fans at all. We have absolutely NO information on this game. What they did here was just show the upgrades visuals and gave us a couple character reveals. Very lazy.

A lot of missing characters. Rosalina, DK, Diddy, Nabbit, Luigi, Toad, Toadette, Wario, Bowser Jr., Koopa Troopa, The Koopaling and Queen Bee. You can also do some special guests from Animal Crossing like the Villager, Isabelle, Tom Nook, K.K., Sally, Bianca, etc. I tough that you're keep celebrating Mario's 30th anniversary, but for what I'm seeing so far, you guys have failed big time.
I don't like how they've done away with the character specific power shots since the 3ds version. (that being the reason I never picked that one up). The special power shots gave each character even more personality something that seems to be missing when every character's new power shot seems to be jump in the air and hit the ball really hard. That being said if this game has the online and mii customization that Mario golf on the 3ds that could make it a worthwhile game also GIVE ME ROSALINA IN SHORT SHORTS!!!
