Yep They were fun. Although I didn't find myself grooving to Vol 3's music.
They could have done so much better by just going back to 80's and 90's classics like in Vol 1 and 2 because the stuff from 20xx and up already sounded dated and not very classic (Florence And The Machines... bleh!).

To those born in the 90's, like myself, imagining the 70's and 80's is what the current gen probably feel when imagining the 90's and 2000's since the time gap is similar. At one point, most music will change from popular to dated to classic depending on how much time has passed

My interpretation from the movie is that Groot makes you understand him once you're in his circle, but I didn't catch that "I love you guys" until you explained it. Beautiful.

There's so many good scenes in this movie, really love this film. There's a scene where StarLord said "humans died at the age of 50" and Mantis replied "are you dying Quill?" Lmao this scene + this video saying that StarLord is 40 in the film really makes it that much better
Dave Batista was 53 when they shot that scene, but he was cool about. Handled it like a pro.
The OP missed the fact that the female humanoid eating yara roots is Gunn’s wife, not even mentioned as one of those who worked with Gunn in Suicide Squad and Peacemaker

The trading cards in Quill's backpack are Garbage Pail Kids which were huge in the mid 80s and Topps brought back in 2005 and have continued since. I write and paint the new cards!
You missed the shootout on high evo's ship with Peter and Groot.
It tells us that Peter has been training Groot with his blasters, just like young Peter was trained in GotG vol.2 flashback by Yondu.
"Music is given as a gift" which happens when Quill gives Rocket his Zune at the end, the thing he nearly died for.
Peters grandpa is seen in Vol 2 when Egos expansion is happening. He and his care taker are in the vehicle that gets its rear up lifted. So we knew that he was still alive before Vol 3 happens.
I guarantee that Gunn will be back in the MCU after how this movie has done so far
Missed the hula girl in the back of the car, behind Groot. A reference to Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. in which it was first seen. It was later seen in Loki and WandaVision as well.

The elevator scene is a lot more than just admitting mistakes it was also done spitefully because of corpos interfering they usually do when it comes to storytelling
You missed Nebula with wings rising above Adam Warlord. As she points her arm towards him I believe she is supposed to represent Arch Angel Gabriel blowing his trumpet (arm is trumpet shaped).
I got more of an Iron Man vibe from that scene
@@jcIIXVIIIVII Remember that odd series where two robots were raising children on a planet- forget the name- 'raised by wolves' or something. She was called 'Mother'. She was a bit like this- rising up like a crucified Christ figure and blasting a trumpet like scream. Either way I thought it had that kind of 'avenging angle' biblical thing about her. Of course all the Marvel stuff is all very symbolic and archaic.

The whole running back for the Zune thing seemed like a repeated beat to me and initially unnecessary. After some thought though I realised it was so important to him (not just because yondu gave it to him) because he wanted to give it to Rocket

I thought about this, and no doubt, they are my favorite team in the whole superhero franchise. So happy for the trilogy, and makes me sad to say goodbye. 🥲

I LOVE how they went into the background of Rocket
It was absolutely genius. Drax talks a lot about his past, we already have a series based on Groot's past... We know what happened to Quill, Gamora and Nebula essentially so it leaves Rocket's origin story to be told. And what I like about it the most is that it Gunn made sure to leave us easter eggs and stuff in the previous 2 films (I guess its kinda easy when basing a movie from actual comics) rather than completely changing the story. James Gunn knows how to make movies with a bang quite literally sometimes and if Marvel ain't up for it, im still happy he probably will be making DC movies come to life.
There’s also a little detail that I thought was interesting that my friends didn’t catch and I didn’t see mentioned here either but, The High-Evolutionary had all those imprisoned children that spoke Kylosian and perhaps (like Drax) were some of the last of their kind unless they were inbreds. Remember that Kylosians are literal people that have no real sense of humor. The High-Evolutionary needs that mindset with all his subjects and subordinates. Pretty dark stuff

Guardians of the Galaxy is not over. This is the end of James Gunn directing the movies, but as we see in credits scene 'The Legendary Star-Lord will return' as well as the new team probably under some new name for the series like 'New Guardians of the Galaxy' or something. Like a comic book you know? We're done one story arc, and we've moved onto the next. A lot of the original cast are likely to return in smaller roles as well aside from Dave Bautista and Zoe Saldana who are both for sure done with the series.
I'm kind of sick of people saying this is end because their brains can only process things in trilogies. My favourite characters just joined the team! Things are just getting started!
thing is, this is the end of the "original" MCU Guardians, and seeing how MCU is treating it's IP the plot of the next guardians is going to be a piece of crap... and that's sad

What is awesome about the Marvel Canon, is there are no God's in it. Even the Celestials are beings that were created by another hand. The One-Above-All, the most omnipotent being, even references that he/it explains he had a creator. But that comic referenced the comic writer as the creator. 😮🤔
Okay, now explain the credit announcement that The Guardians of the Galaxy will return.
That PCS said "The legendary Star-Lord will return." We will see what that means but it probably will not be a GotG movie.
