Before I listen, I want to say that sometimes I see the 7 of swords as someone taking back what was rightfully theirs in the first place!

I love it when people show a completely different view of a card and invite us to take a new and maybe even a deeper look. Thank you so much for this video, that let me think further. 5 of swords wasn't a simple conflict for me all the time: it always showed a projection of own problems apon others and so a creation of a 'bad' situation in the outside. If somebody takes away the 5 swords in the 7 of sword card, 2 of swords is left. My personal conclusion is: If somebody takes away the situation we projet on, we are forced to confront our inner conflict of the 2 of swords. And as very often the person on the 7 of swords looks back, in German, something else comes up. Looking back is also called 'Rück-sicht', which also means 'respect'. So nothing bad happens in the card, just a thoughtful action to help us finding the real issue of the problem inside of ourselves. If the person smiles, well, he has the right to use some humor ;)

Love this. Keep pulling the seven of swords but clarified by positive cards such as ten of cups..:empress...etc. thank you

I also keep drawing seven of swords followed by positives... Since I took interest in the cards years ago. Kinda creeps me out at times, but I got used to it. Even decided to make being content and not wanting anything from others to be a life goal but I still keep drawing it. idk.

Very interesting view! I keep pulling the 7 of swords and this interpretation resonates more with me. Another meaning that resonates is: dont stop by too much just take what you need and what you can and move on. Like he's just getting those swords and he's looking behind thinking 'God I wish I could grab those other swords too' but he aint got time he must go and do stuff . And swords represent thought, so maybe you have many ideas and all of them are valid but you dont need all of them to get where you wanna get ;) you must leave something behind

Thanks for sharing that idea of him contemplating what he can carry...how much "load" can he carry. In his case, maybe due to time as you say. ....hmmm... good point! and very helpful!

Hi! I just wanted to say thank you for sharing your alternative perspective. I work with Lucid Dreams Tarot deck and I kept drawing 7 of swords clarified by positives, like others have shared in the comments (the Empress, Four of Wands, Six of Pentacles) and I couldn't quite understand what it was trying to tell me. In the imagery of Seven of Swords from the deck, the figure is holding two swords in her hand, leaving 5 swords behind her (I found interesting how the depiction is opposite to the examples you have showed. After listening to your perspective, I pulled out the Two and Five of Swords to see how the images relate, and I now see what the card is showing me; I am leaving the conflicts behind and choosing to take the two swords, to make my own decisions and resolving the inner conflicts without giving energy to the outside stress that should have never affected my life and decisions in the first place. Thank you so much for this!

Thanks for this! I try to start out with all the cards being neutral, as I believe there is light and dark in each one. I knew the 7 of swords couldn’t be all bad and there was probably more than meets the eye! I kind of look at him as a Robin Hood type...breaking the rules but for a good cause. :)

Well done. Well said. I'm 7 of swords moon in aquarius. I feel like ppl often envy me for being lucky no matter what conditions I'm in. 7 to me is Godly, 7th heaven. Swords is not conflict it's truth and justice. If you have a sword you can cut what you don't want right out

Never thought of it that way but that for sure makes sense, being sly to avoid conflict

  • @mariet8715
    @mariet8715 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

well if he takes away 5 swords ( conflict ) that means he leaves behind 2 swords ( confusion ) conflict is made out of two clashing opinions and could create some kind of solution, but he sneaks away with his opinion or hides his intentions and doesn't really cause a solution

Excellent! I often see the deception is in taking knowledge, aka power, from another by lying or withholding knowledge. But that's not always a bad thing. It kept coming up in readings where this person had a hard time communicating with her husband, who had a brain injury and often easily misconstrued and jumped to sinister conclusions about how she said things. So, she was careful with what she shared. So she took away the five. But what she left was the two, that at least subconsciously, she knew would blind him to the truth.

So this card is what pushed me to purchase Kim Krans' deck. I like your interpretation when it comes to the first three decks, but I cant help but feel a conflict with how you see the character of the fox in this case. Foxes through most manners of symbolism are the epitome of trickery, deceit, cleverness, wit, and manipulation. Its quite literally hiding a single sword and appearing to be sleeping. This would suggest an ambush as the fox is feigning sleep in order to draw something in and displaying the swords behind it as a way of saying I'm sleeping AND defenseless. I would liken this more to the idea that the fox is using its wit to lure some unsuspecting character to underestimate the fox. Perhaps that 6 of swords implied is the hope of the aggressor catching the fox off guard, and the fox solving its problem in an unorthodox yet clever way. That being said, I love the idea of the fox neutralizing situations by removing the swords and the tension combined with your previous 3 decks in the video. I have often talked to both sides of a conflict between friends and offered solutions that both sides were too flustered or frustrated to come about solving directly. I will adopt this as a potential outcome for future readings. Thanks!

I think that the seven of swords in most decks depict what appears to be the enemy encampment in the background. In this context, the swords are there for fighting and these particular swords belong to the enemy. The man depicted is sneaking away. He is running away with five swords although clumsily because he is holding the swords the wrong way up. But, he looks happy that he was able to get away with it. This, is an act of disarmament. THe seven of swords in fact demonstrate the spy who won the battle.

So this might help because I was shuffling my own cards and I’ve been watching tarot card readers for about 15 years and I’ve done some of my own study but nothing ever really stuck I think because I felt like it was a lot of information that was a lot to know when I didn’t feel confident about it so for whatever reason it was like a block but I’m a highly intuitive individual so I was guided to buy tax and I started buying them and storing them and wasn’t touching any of them and then this one cat just started screaming when I was prompted to look for a new deck and I ended up getting it and I really love it it seems to resonate very well with me
So I went ahead and bought it and I thought OK well is shuffling is not as easy as it looks it was like trying to do something with my left hand when I’m right handed. But I’ve been practicing and I’ve been looking at the cards and even though I don’t know all the symbolism I have some knowledge that’s intuitive Sanchez came up while this card kept jumping out at me and I was thinking about this person who recently communicate with me but for two days between me and her because I had to tell her that she was violating my boundaries and I was making them very clear letting her know that I wasn’t going to tolerate certain behaviors from her and I could see that she almost needs to feed off of this and I look at with sword symbolize so yes mental manipulation and Psuedo-spiritualism in her case and then I look at swords being a tool of clarity or clarification as well so I’m gonna go to post below what my thoughts were as I was reflecting on the card
So I’m sitting here shuffling my cars and it keeps popping back out but I refuse that energy in my life so I have said I don’t own it and I return it to sender and essentially what it means when I’m looking at it at three minutes and 55 seconds intuitively is that yes I am leaving the camp of disarray with all of my thoughts and ideas as well as my words
Because there are certain people who are around me that want to be an authority figure to me they want to see their ego with superiority and they like to dictate to me exactly what I should think how I should speak and what I should feel and that person has recently been told that behavior is not welcome furthermore they’ve been put on notice that if they do it again I will cut them out of my life so here we go with swords and I won’t think twice but now that I know and I’ve had clarity which is again swords about this person stationary and their need to try to control other people but can’t control themselves this person is now at Seward length so from here on out there will not be any further communication in regards to any of those matters because if it comes up again or if a point is made again that inferences on that boundary which has been drawn in the sand with my sword that person can expect a cold shoulder which means they would be behind me
So I am just learning the taro and I am also a psychic my intuition is predominantly taste and holistic matters
These are the cars that I have pulled first card out was the high priestess second was the empress the third is the knight of swords then comes the world then comes the lovers then comes the queen of swords the two of coin the four of wands the hair fin be night of wands page of wands and the nine of coin to me it looks like a very good reading
And I decided to go ahead and for one more card and believe it or not it was the 10 of cups
Now when she reached out to me she wanted me to tell her about the queen of cups because she felt that she resonated strongly with her because she had a vision of a woman pouring from one cup to the other and I explain to her without giving her too much detail because it really is her responsibility to reach out for that information on her own and me not being erudite in Taro energies I can’t tell her what the card means and I shouldn’t it’s not my responsibility
But I did explain to her that there are several cards in a deck that actually pour from one cup to the next
So as I’m thinking about her contacting me and acting as if nothing happened when it came to a point which again is swords for me where I had to put her on notice that she was offending me even though I’m not easily offended and I suppose she was offending my soul so I had to let her know that I don’t need her to give me spiritual guidance I have my own spiritual dream team who keeps me informed and anything that you think may not actually apply to me so just because you think and feel a certain way doesn’t mean everyone else has to share that and it’s ironic because she’s very domestic so you mention it she has a friend who is quite narcissistic he’s an avid alcoholic and she keeps company with him for 2 1/2 years and when he offend someone in front of her and her response almost out of pleasure Jesus say I’m not his mother and yet she does take the mother role in his life and tries to do that with me as well also considers yourself without saying it to be a spiritual superior to me and myself which that message came in quite strong and that’s when the line had to be drawn in the sand and usually you would use a stick or you could use your finger either way it represents a sword so with words and thoughts there were boundaries drawn I wonder if that will resonate with you

A very thoughtful interpretation. I had not been aware of your channel before today but I am certainly interested to hear more from you. I experienced traumatic grief over the loss of my sister. In trying to make peace with that I looked everywhere for answers, including tarot and other resources prohibited by my Southern Baptist upbringing. I kept my studies quiet to avoid conflict and interference. Now I am starting to teach how to move back into happiness after traumatic losses using my research. Perhaps the 7 of swords is reminding me that I may now have to deal with some of that judgment from others.

There are thousands of different decks as artistry continues to be a large part of tarot. There are traditional decks (or adaptations) that attempt to capture the original correspondences of the tarot with psychology, alchemy, astrology, etc. Along the way - colors, numerology, figure placement (rearrangement) and symbolism have been added and altered to incorporate deeper or dualistic meanings.
