I am 70 years old. Yes you are right , everything changed so fast. Just about 18 years Smartphones exist. But I feel okay, that is life. The thing I mourn about is the loss of the birds, butterflies, summoning of insects, which suddenly disappeared very fast in great number since 2000. That children nowadays are missing those waves of sounds of awakening in the morning in springtime and summer. They do not even know what is missing, the sound of life .

Do it anyway if you are in USA you have community access TV and they will train you to make TV for free and use the equipment so you can start by doing public journalism in your community. Many local newspapers are gone.

I often see in the comment section “I just stumbled across your video…”.
People don’t seem to be aware it was put in their feed by the algorithm.
I’m helping someone downsize to move into a smaller space. She has sets of encyclopedias, sets of series on history and art, etc. The stories of civilizations of the world. Dictionaries.
I wish I could save these for myself. They would be perfect for inspiration and home schooling.

It’s true about people’s short attention span. When I still worked at the university, the students commented that my messages were nicely written but too long. Notice how people respond in text messages now. It’s either ‘Yup’ or a thumbs up. They have time for TicTok but no time to write or read a few sentences.

For all their competency with smart phones, they have no patience with people and you find them extremely ignorant of history. They really don't see how they're being manipulated, too.

A.I. is very noticable in almost everything. The robotic voice in whatever accent or gender narrating a video, the photo's or supposed 'spur of the moment' videos that when you look close enough do not look natural, music that doesn't have a natural flow. I'm sure there are others I don't know of, or haven't happened yet. It has a purpose I'm sure, but it shouldn't be so prevelant....

I concur with your analysis of the situation, for what it's worth. There is so little aesthetic or artistic awareness in the mainstream today, attention spans have already been compromised to such a high degree and incredibly basic dross is so very dominating that I can't see any significant amount of people that would even recognise an issue with being fed a stream of AI generated simulacrums of creative product.
That is pretty "black pilled" as they say but the absolute domination over the past decade of very clearly corrupting social media is an example of the powerlessness of the majority to firstly analyse the situation and secondly resist the temptation placed in front of them.
Perhaps however it will create something on the flip-side, a subculture where human made, "slow art" is actually appreciated more.

OnThe east coast, New York State, hunting deer was discouraged. The deer and mice are part of the life cycle of the ticks. When I was a kid on Long Island, the tick population was drastically lower. We were in the fields and woods all the time, rarely found a tick. Now you have to wear tick-repellent socks and pants to go for a hike or pick berries. The ticks carry several nasty diseases. I’ve seen fawn and wild rabbits covered with blood-fattened ticks, so many that it weakens them.
Long ago there would be fires started by lightning that would clear areas. Of course that can’t happen anymore.

Im sick from 5G have serious headaches and I feel it, for those who laugh you can stop when your DNA shows the damage in a test result. We are sadly being exposed to lots of things and I highly suggest if you are hypersensitive you should find out if you have heavy metals affecting you. IV EDTA metals test, bloodwork is usually worthless.

    Bjorn,
While I agree with your conclusions about TH-cam reducing add revenues, I wonder if part of that equation is their advertisers pulling back advertising budgets? Look at the revenues from the US Superbowl or the World Cup. Are their revenues not moving down vs up?
It is wonderful to see you and other content providers moving away from TH-cam. I'm happy to pay a monthly fee to my favorite content providers as this appears to be the model of the future. Like Cable TV, if you want quality content you must contribute, otherwise the providers cannot survive.

Personally I think monetization is the issue, full stop. TH-cam was about art, before money became the focus. Just like the internet itself was more art/wild west, before the bar to entry got lowered to the average person.
AI content wouldn't be an issue either if there was no money incentive. No one would bother except those who wish to create art.
I'd rather have 99% less content if it meant it was made with passion and heart.

During the pandemic lockdown i was free to go where i wished . It was the most bizarre thing i have ever witnessed. I saw the 5g towers go up everywhere seemingly overnight . Also many meetings at schools that were closed , dozens of cars in the parking lots . Then construction crews working in the schools. This was early in the lockdown. Even the signs going up " stay at home" , " avoid social contact".
Bone of this was accidental, it was a completely planned event.
I have lived out of cell range , drinking well water, and a lot of natural wild and locally grown food.

can you do a dog video please... would love to know more about how ypu get treated for having dogs that bark at threats. Here in NZ they threaten to take the dogs away for intimidating honest hard working burglars and thieves.

Yes, we are fed a stream and that is what you consume if you are passive.... it's actually really annoying how this happens after you have watched a certain subject, you are bombarded with AI selected stuff.... and Ilike a variety of opinions! So it can be polarising and divisive. Because I have and interest in science topics I also often get fed a lot of AI generated stuff, with AI voice overs too... it's dreadful :/ And then for weeks afterward have to endure the constant feed. Your channel Bjorn is rereshingly human :)

in the 50s and 60s we used to instinctively *know* radiation was bad for you ... even the sun can sunburn you, and thats the natural kind. We also knew the effects of radiation on the human body. Lowered immune system functioning, brain fog, lethargy, impulsive behavior ... does any of this sound familiar? ALL radiation is bad for you in high enough exposure/concentration, this is just fact.

I just cleared all my history and dropped some subscriptions in an attempt to clear off the massive amount of junk in my feed. Much was click bait or AI created content.

I agree with most you are saying but AI is not just glorified copying. It actually technically do what human does. We are also copying and seldom have unique ideas. Actually, real AI is a copy of our own neural network, but empowered by much more data.
