Hey girl, nice video as always. Few points from me, closing costs are a one off payment and property taxes are usually paid yearly as well as the home insurance so whilst there is an initial outlay persons won’t have to worry about that once paid and you can even pay in advance. The key costs for me are the mortgage, HOA and utilities namely tiefing JPS. Furnishing a home can be done over months/years so people don’t mash up yourself over that. Pay the necessities first

Hi Saffie. Very good points. You have me thinking. If one doesn't plan out their finances and is not responsible then those costs can feel like a real burden. Thanks for bringing up your points. Thanks for watching and engaging.

Surveyor's ID is also a requirement especially for those properties that have been modified as maybe, additions may in breach of certain restrictions. Another requirement may be Engineering Report as the structure of the building may have deteriorations.

Thank you for this. There are so many things that go along with buying a house that we don't know about until it hits us.

Hi Colleen. Thanks for the feedback and thanks for watching! Transportation cost is important too because if where you live isn't accessible, that can cost you money. #blessings

Sadly, home insurance is overlooked and it is not very expensive. Based on my limited experience in the Insurance field, the premium one pays for the value of the home along with the contents (if you are insuring content) is not so expensive as one would think. I recommend shopping around the various Insurance companies to get the premium most affordable for your pocket.

Also would you say Ashley furniture is a rip off as they have some nice pieces that I have seen? They look sturdy and off good quality? The problem with having furniture made is that is takes time and guidance, hence the easy way to buy and have it delivered. Saying that if I can find a quality carpenter I will definitely look into it 🙌🏽

I definitely brought in my bias with furniture in this video. To be honest, I'm not very familiar with Ashley furniture apart from what I hear from people complaining about the quality of some products. Yes! The furniture making does take time and some furniture makers can take long with your order. That's why it's always important to take time when making those decisions.

Some furniture isn't worth it because they use these artificial materials that quickly breakdown overtime and they sell it for many monies in the store! And there is also the risk that a carpenter won't do his job properly as well. I'm not opposed to buying furniture from a store like Ashley but you have to check for the quality, looks and if the piece makes sense in your life.
