I have one of these in 7.62×25. It is very accurate and dependable. The safety is still in place. Good shooter. Thanks for the video, George.

i think the American Police or the sheriffs department should use the 7.62x25 round to handle situations i mean if people claim that its more potent then 9mm hell why not make a carry platform there are very few old ww2 guns that use this rounds like the cz52 or the Tok but maybe i believe its a russian invent thats why people dont use it because of the Patriotic mindset against the Russian just my Guess.

They are indeed reliable. I'm amazed at how many of the 7.62 pistols are still available in like new condition. The one I bought was imported through the Albanian Government, who refurbished all the Tokarev pistols they got from China. Those once bargain basement $70 pistols now command $350-$450+ a pop. Tokarev ammo is sky high though since Russian made ammo has dried up.

These Chinese and East Bloc guns and ammo were a real bargain "back in the day." Not so much anymore, now that the supply is drying up. I enjoyed many hours of guilt-free target practice, not caring how much cheap imported ammo I burnt up. Though that "Golden Age" of cheap surplus is gone, I'd advise people to stock up on today's expensive ammunition, because I've got the feeling it someday won't be available at ANY price!

I won't disagree with your point as you could very well be right. The notions go that way as ammo for certain platforms were high as could be. The ammo history has had its days I'm sure. The process is more understandable from a point where we consider ammo "cheap" then we take in account of how it's quality is along with how inflation does its work. Not going deep in this specific but noting that .22 is a great way to use as a standard of buying ammo and a cost per cartridge.
We should use .22 as a standard as it's usually the cheapest and one of the most common caliber. Its hard to find someone who doesn't know this in the gun world so if we take history in accordance with price, it wasn't long that .22 was 5 cents or less per round a few years ago.
Now that's grown to practically double that and the ammo that used to be "cheap" ....isn't so much these days so it's hard to find it worth buying a box of the stuff in bulk. Bulk was a common thing to understand that the more you bought a specific kind of ammo, usually it was pretty good if you found rounds for 2-3 cents but the ammo could be so cheap, it wasn't very good. Sometimes downright comical. 😂
Anyway sorry for the long response. I bought ammo RARELY. Was only a couple days I bought some 9mm. It was discounted and near the prices I used to pay but it's not worth it to buy large quantities so much. Just enough to keep a supply in check.😊

That is actually a very good gun for the money and those Chinese Toks handle 9mm very well. In fact you cant go wrong with a Tokarev of any type.

just bought one last week for a steal of a price. In the video he said he paid a two-finger price, I paid a half finger price but the gun needs work nothing terrible. though he paid what he did I looked around on the net and spoke with a local FFL who handled my paperwork and found these guns are starting to climb in value as less are available on the market. BTW mine still has its safety. The work it needs is just general wear items like the barrel bushing should be replaced.

I have 4 Tokrevs in my collection 2 Yugo M57s 1 with a frame mounted safety and 1 with a trigger dingle both in 7.62. I also have 2 Chicom M213s in 9mm and they came with different styles of magazines, both styles started life as std 7.62 Tok magazines. One style has a piece of some type of fiber board glued to the back of the inside of the magazine to properly position the shorter 9mm round, the other does the same thing with a piece of sheet metal. One of the M213s is blued and the other is bright cromed with I assume artificial pearl grips. My ffl described it as a pimp gun and I can't say I disagree. Patton was right. I wouldn't carry either of the 4 guns for defense, because I have much better choices available to me. But if one of these was all I had, I would not shoot myself out of despair.
