Hi Matthias, I am planing to buy Benelli 702x, what is your honest opinion for long touring and outdoor camping with this bike? Is this bike a real deal? Thanx for videos BTW

Hi Ivan! I think the Benelli is a great adventure bike. I would have highly recommended it until my gearbox broke last weekend. I hope I can bring the bike to my dealer tomorrow and see what they say. But a proper gearbox breakdown after only 3 months and 13.000 km is a major red flag imo. Let‘s see…

@matthiasoncarsbikes Oh no, I am sorry to hear that. Could you please update us with a video or some information about it? I thought this was a good deal, but I've heard from others that the chain is really low quality and some of them had a lot of vibrations. Best of luck solving the issue with the gearbox. :(

Hi Matthias, any news about your TRK702X, what did they said about the gearbox?

I was at my Benelli dealer today. He said it would probably be no major issue with the gearbox and probably be fixed within one week. But as my plan is to go to Thailand asap for a couple of months I sold my Benelli to my dealer today as I‘m waiting to sell it since 4 weeks already…

​@@matthiasonadventures I'm afraid it may not be reliable enough as a long touring model. I was planning to tour around the world with the TRK702X, but now I'm questioning everything and even considering more expensive models like Honda.. So sad for a new bike..

Yes I know! If you ride motorbikes you know that you always get wind noise unless you use earplugs. Which I don‘t. Same applies to the camera mic. I‘m sorry. Still working on a better solution…
