I've been watching the Alux videos for a few months now. To tell you the truth they are spot on and helpful to me. In many ways they are reinforcing things that I learned in my journey called life. I wish I'd had the kind of mentoring that Alux provides earlier in life. I would have probably arrived at the good spot I'm in sooner than by learning the hard way. Alux rocks and is inspirational, informative, positive and useful! Excellent!

I think the biggest thing needed for a happy life is to accomplish the goals we dream of.

i agree with what you say but i think it's a result of the times we live in today where achieving end goals are valued more than the means and intentions involved to achieve them......that's why it's easier to be successful than to be honest.
Our goals are the figments of our imagination, so attaching ourselves too much with the results and not enjoying the journey, the efforts that are intrinsically valuable would be misplaced. (I think.)
detachment in action and not from action will ensure that not accomplishing our goals will still be okay. Dreams afterall can't be taken too seriously (advice 14).
Maybe but what I think is when we are in the process of achieving our goal we forgot the little things that have is happiness because after achieving our goals it will be only a short span of time we will be happy and then we move on to another goal so it never ends that's why we should also give importance to little things, achieving goal is like climbing a mountain after we go to the top we will only stay and be happy for couple of minutes and for that couple of minutes we should not ignore the beautiful things that comes in the way when we climb.

Restart!!!!! What makes me happy is knowing that what I'm doing is for myself and finally not caring about what others want me to do. Following my own passions and goals instead of what my family thinks is best. Blocking all the background noise!

Another awesome video with lot's of little gold nuggets. The thing that has helped propel me back toward my passion and success the most was making the decision to burn bridges with my father.
Now, those who don't know my story might say that cutting ties with family is a bad decision. But when your father murdered your mother's parents, and essentially got away with it for lack of hard evidence not too mention the perpetual nastiness he spreads around because he's a miserable SOB, then that's when I'll listen to someone else's perspective on that issue.
The moment I vanished from his life and went no contact was like pushing the #Restart button on my life and gave me the energy and focus necessary to accomplish the goals I had for myself at that time. As I used to say, before I found out that my father murdered my grand parents, "sometimes, the best thing you can do is to leave your baggage unattended for some fool to come along, pick up and carry around."
But that's my sense of humor. In all seriousness, if you have a toxic relationship begin studying narcissism, sociopathy and psychcopathy and arm yourself with the modus operandi that those knuckleheads routinely use because, chances are, you're going to come across some of them in your life and knowing that there are land mines in the road ahead allows you to sidestep the misery of sharing their misery with them or even hearing much of it because that knowledge gives you an early warning signal so you can cut those conversations and relationships short and keep your sanity and your happiness intact.

I would like to understand clearly the conceptual difference between "pleasing others" and "making others happy".
Happiness does come from within. An there are quotes that are important to memorize because they hold meaning. As far as I’m concerned, do whatever you must to be happy. As long as you don’t hurt anyone else or yourself, or anything in general, than do what makes you happy. I believe we all have a soul, and because of that, I believe we must just get through this life until we die. Once we die, we will live lives much happier than this. Assuming we don’t reincarnate or decide to come back to this world. But I can’t say obviously lol. But wether you believe we have a soul or not, just live life the best you can. For yourself, and others. You can’t waste your life, and you can’t be more successful than anyone else. You simply must live the path you’ve been given. So unless part of our path is changing your path, just keep following it. Know that no one is better or worse than you.

Restart! I've already restarted after getting a tumor surgically removed and wanting to live my life again but do it even better this time. My tip is once you restart you realize that you have to keep restarting all the time to improve and move forward so find comfort in change.

I just found this channel a couple days ago and I can say this is By FAR REALLY GREAT INFORMATION thank you specially this episode. I have been struggling a lot in the last couple years, well actually almost whole life I I try to make others happy n not pay much attention to my self ware it sometimes backfire and I get used n it hurts but it's time i make a change again thank you for this information. Our society makes us unhappy. I barely know a single person who is truly happy. And even those who say they are I know at heart their not. I can tell when someone is truly happen, and those people are rare. Our world is messed up. No doubt. The world we live in is so different from how it was a hundred years ago. We literally have built a new world for ourselves and don’t know how to live it yet. We’ve spent thousands of years trying to live the most basic life, and now look at us, we live such complex lives it overwhelms the human mind. The human mind is powerful, but never over estimate it, nor under estimated it. We can’t overload our brains, but we can’t lack the ability to use them either. We must find a balance, just as all things require a balance.
