@@molly_scno it's just bad. Only way is outplay with barrels. And do you see alois barrel mechanics? And even then if trynd ever gets a bad trade he just sustains back up with q. So you need multiple perfect trades to win lane. Not happening.

I think I want to start permabanning GP. He has infinite lane sustain, is insane late game and not even bad early, deals unholy amounts of true damage not only to Champions but to Objectives and Turrets too. He has a Global Ult and just gets more Gold than his opponents. Also he cleanses CC effects with W and makes some Champs like Mordekaiser or Controlmages useless.
You have brain damage,
1. The main cause of death to gp is not knowing what gp does, challenger players don't know what he does for some reason
2. Once you know what gp does, an intrinsic awareness of his range and how gp moves significantly hampers him

@@fastcow7013 We all agree that Fundamentals are important right? So instead of learning the exact GP ranges and how to kite around him I would rather invest my time learning Fundamentals since that not only increases my success in the GP matchup but in all Matchups. Therefore, permabanning GP would allow me to improve faster in League.

I just wanna highlight to y'all on the minimap how fucking lucky the briar was with that ult straight down mid lane @ 6:10 . It *barely* missed tryndamere who was in base/fountain still
You build mechanics on gp by adding small things every game, just keep playing him, watch solarbacca and you will start one-parting people in no time.
Solarbacca goes sheen into wardens mail and steelcaps, into triforce vs tryn and just kill him with passive resets. works like a charm, but you do have to place your barrels so he cant hit them while fighting ofcourse to make sure you get the passive resets.
you cant kill him with passive resets if trynd isnt griefing. sure it might work in some games that you have seen from solar, but there are countless of examples that dont work like that. ranger also covered this matchup. its pretty free till lv13 and even then you win if u dont grief

Trynd is NOT an early game counter to GP, that's just totally false. GP can easily get full lane control, and if Trynd engages, he loses. To barrels, passive, and minion damage.
It's actually not easy for Trynd to play this matchup, if the Gangplank player is disciplined and standing on his barrels, even after 6.
You let him hit the wave for free while at level 1. He had no fury, you have passive. Any time the enemy GP plays like this, I know I get a free Trynd game.
Fake gameplay.
Were this a real game, enemy botlane would be 16/2 and at your inhib 12 minutes in.

Great video, but feels weird that you chose this as a counter matchup. Since GP can farm and manipulate the wave from ranged.
the real question is how to play when enemy support dives toplane twice and botlane still goes 2/19 in 20 mins.

Hey Alois, maybe try building tankplank against tryn with grasp and then a wardens mail tabis and trynity force. he can t ever kill you this way. It s what solabacca does :)

Find a decent champ you like and top can be pretty fun if you’re into laning for 20 min into 1v9

Top is hard, it can be rewarding if you apply good knowledge and decision making. However there will be many games where you feel like you have 0 agency as the enemy adc/mid/jung is somehow 10/0/0 by 13mins

As a trynd main I can say that GP is counterpick cause he can buy frozen heart and this lane is over. For trynd need to think a lot for a win , for gp need just to go with the flow.

You get your first item extremely early as a gp, then snowball.. Usually you get like 3 items, while the enemies have 1and a half
it's more of a choice now instead of being strictly better; now it's a tradeoff of early strength in exchange for faster scaling
The extra 100 hp does not really do anything for gp, Certain matchups it will help but longsword is better for what trynda wants to do in his early game which is get essence reaver extremely fast.
