@@JustEchoes either way, either the mod is bugged to not include all weapons or certain weapons are bugged and don't have the appropriate flag to trigger it. No idea whats going on in the back end. Potato tomato
@Onbored and there is a big difference between the two. If the mod is bugged to not work with certain weapons then every other way of getting volatile will work with those weapons. I know this is obviously a bug, but I actually think it would be really cool for Fighting Lion to take on this "ultimate red bar killer" identity. I know it has to be balanced somehow though, so I would even be down with them slightly lowering the damage against majors and bosses and just leaving the red bar damage. The exotic perk is even "Thin the Herd". A lion isnt worried about the elephant or the other lions, it goes after the weaker animals. Fighting Lion just being the ultimate herd thinner would be super cool, and would also encourage more interesting loadouts. You want a weapon that's gonna do more damage to stronger enemies? Bring a special in your kinetic. But now with Fighting Lion, even though its a primary, it feels and behaves like a special, so some of the advantages that a normal primary weapon would have (other than the ammo) like range and ease of use are now lost to you. I think it would be an interesting trade off and would also make one of the most unique weapons in the game actually viable for endgame content.
Fighting Lion was already one-shotting 90% of red bars into master and GM content even before the bug, so pretty much nothing changed since then. It's just a little more consistent now since you would've needed to be a little more precise with your direct hits and detonations before the bug, whereas now anything in the blast radius just dies. And yet it still saw no use despite being a formidable weapon in that high of PvE, because it had a fairly high skill curve to using it. You couldn't just pick it up and run through content with it like you could with osteo strand, starfire protocol, etc.; you have to invest hours upon hours learning the trajectory, detonation timings, manual reload tech, etc. before it really shows its colors, but when you do get to that point it's an incredible weapon that rivals the add clear potential of pretty much any meta loadout. It was doing this a while ago, but Bungie claimed they fixed it I thought. That's why it was disabled in the day one RoN lol. The trick is to not direct impact them... It does normal damage if you direct impact them, but if it's only splash damage it's broken.
ever since the change to the stasis fragment that boosts primary damage (cant remember the name of it) i was throwing a osmiomancy coldsnap grenade, letting everything freeze then shooting FL into the group to wipe out all the pesky ads only leaving orange bars and higher at half health from all the shatter damage, plus since the group of ads would be frozen before spreading out (most of the time) the FL can benefit from its multi hit auto reload passive. the only issue with this build tho was that it overload champions were menaces without a good overload weapon.
I thought this season of GMs would be insanely hard... But between fighting lion in hypercurrent and cheese spots in Mars and lake of shadows, it has been an absolute breeze
Just for reference, this thing without any buffs does about 25% per shot of the damage of a fully buffed Celestial Nighthawk. In that lost sector, Goblins are taking about 200k from the Fighting Lion explosion at point blank and about 35k from the direct impact, so we'll say 235k. And that's with NO buffs from Volatile, Void Weapon Surge, Radiant, etc. In the same lost sector, a Nighthawk crit on a Goblin with Radiant and 2x Kinetic Weapon Surge (yes, that buffs Golden Gun, bug, only reason I think GG's usable right now) does 973k, and a 3rd Kinetic Surge puts it just over the 999k cap. We got a muthafucking Primary doing a full Nighthawk of damage every 4 shots. I smell a nerf/fix on the horizon.

Only to be Joffrey'd shortly after by bungo cause this looks too fun and we can't have that 🤣
I remember running through the haunted forest with this back in the day!
Sheeesh! Awesome! Started messing around with my Hunter Thursday, looking for builds, since I'm a Titan main. May just try this Hunter build to finish up my Conqueror seal! Thanks Cross!
Yeah I noticed the buff right away, because I am that 0.001% that mains the Fighting Lion. This the safest weapon when dodging bullets. And it's sooo easy to make your apponents volatile now. I like this weapon because I can also kill enemies behind me by letting it bounce at the wall in front of me. I like thinking and timing the trajectory in my when shooting a grenade. I use Quickfang sword for heavy weapon and High Albedo as primary.. Yes my long range weapon is also my Fighting Lion. 😁👍❤
It was doing this a while ago, but Bungie claimed they fixed it I thought. That's why it was disabled in the day one RoN lol. The trick is to not direct impact them... It does normal damage if you direct impact them, but if it's only splash damage it's broken.
Nice super smash bros Ultimate sound used in 5:03
ever since the change to the stasis fragment that boosts primary damage (cant remember the name of it) i was throwing a osmiomancy coldsnap grenade, letting everything freeze then shooting FL into the group to wipe out all the pesky ads only leaving orange bars and higher at half health from all the shatter damage, plus since the group of ads would be frozen before spreading out (most of the time) the FL can benefit from its multi hit auto reload passive. the only issue with this build tho was that it overload champions were menaces without a good overload weapon.
"Oh My Lord" -Aztecross 2023
I’m surprised that bungie hasn’t fixed it yet. Even though their whole mission is to stop all bugs that benefit the player at all cost
Including making firepower spawn no orbs now, just because strand grapple was double dipping
Just noticed this ^^
R.I.P glad i got to enjoy this since week one of the season..
The Purple People Eater Cult.
The Lioness Bites. There ya go that's a catchy build name.
next TWAB be like "fixed an issue that caused fighting lion to be dealing higher damage then intended" Thanks youtuber 👍
I've been running fighting lion with one of my stasis warlock builds and it's nice.
Cross. For those longer shots, fire , and while holding the fire button down, you can start a reload on it.
I just tried it out and yes Flexing Lion wreck everything in the room
I thought this season of GMs would be insanely hard... But between fighting lion in hypercurrent and cheese spots in Mars and lake of shadows, it has been an absolute breeze
That power move of deleting mountaintop at the head of a grenade launcher video lol
You’d think cross is a preacher the way he keeps talking bout his lord
Discovered the joys of fighting lion like 3 days ago, what a coincidence
My fav weapon!! I have over 60K kills on it! Fell in love with it since day!🔥🔥🔥
I told him to run fightling lion in hypernet current last week and he called me crazy ;D
Honestly surprised it hasn't been fixed by now. It's been around for a while. I read every update TWAB expecting to see it fixed in the patch notes.
Even though it could be old by now, it would be REALLY nice and helpful to add some time into explaining where to acquire the weapon the video is centered about.
Good to know I can drag this baby back out of the vault. Always had a soft spot for this weapon since before shadow keep. Infinite amo on a GL is very nice and it helped me get Mountaintop
You're a little late to the party, but welcome to the Fighting Lion club.
The first rule of the Fighting Lion club is...
I'm out of town and away from my beloved machines, but I can't wait to try this when I get home. Looks stupid fun.
This was definitely an unintended interaction
omfg I was having fun Cross!!!
It’s the fact it’s forever ammo,,,, I love it
I’m pretty sure if u click reload but don’t let go of the fire button for the timed detonation thing, you can start reloading before you blow up the grenade
Telesto : " Its youre time to shine lil bro "
Thanks for blowing up my spot man
In the sandbox the mighty sandbox, the Lion shits tonight.
The fighting lion, witch, and wardrobe
Fighting lion has become the new telesto
LIONMYBALLSONYOFACE.. love it
Because it's only red bars it keeps it from being too insane. But it is crazy using fighting lion I'm GMs. I'm glad Bungie has left this one alone for a bit.
its doing more than Leviathan to bosses....so its not "only red bars"
@@diox8tony it's only to red bars and that one specific nightfall boss. Everything else is still normal damage, including orange and yellow bars alike.
@@diox8tony the damage glitch is in fact only red bars. He was doing hella damage in the gm to the boss bc there’s a void surge this week
OMG can't believe what i just saw !!!!! Impressive
Or, OR you could run my favorite build I've ever made with Lion, nezeracs sin and dawnblade heat rises and icarus dash. You're surprisingly tanky in the air because lion constantly heals you. For nightfalls, osmiomancy infinite freeze with it for ez 1 shots even without the bug
How is lion healing you? are you gaining devour?
@@diox8tony icarus dash gives you cure after every 3 aerial weapon kills. Nearly every shot from fighting lion is an easy multikill
my fighting lion will definitely be getting some use this weekend
"My Witness! Are you witnessing this Fighting Lion damage?!"
When I break out fighting lion or any grenade launcher (Im done fucking around) I instantly turn in to King Leonidas cause I'm kicking everyone in the chest and yelling. THIS IS SPARTAAAAAAAAAA!!!!
i run this on a void lock with the Sin helm. As a void lock this season, this dropping pretty much liquified most things. Learning curve with it though for sure.
Keeping this between us for sure bro
I'm torn because my build since Seraph is getting covered, so I'm hyped. But now the build is getting covered, so I'm scared lol
If you guys wanna expand on it, add an a void machine gun (I use retrofit w/4th times). No champion or tormentor will bother you, and now you have a means for boss DPS
Possible build name: No Tryin' Lion
Yeah but the build is bugged and its only gaining like 50k from it and when hey fix the bug its gonna still be good but i would be scared tho if they try and nerf it at the same time. But honestly im not scared the bug didn't really help it and its been doing 100k to 150k before this season. Honestly i feel like the exotic dmg to redbars buff is probably what did it. They're probably just gonna get rid of it for FL since it was already a red bar killer
Damn bro! Now I want to do some Fighting Lion GM’s with my Hunter with Gyrfalcon!!
I had to read the title 5 times to make sure I was reading it correctly
I said something last week to ya. It's fantastic. One shot practically every red bar
Bungie should keep it this way to keep the weapon unique
I been rocking a fighting lion, voiwalker, mantle of battle harmony, since season of the splicer man
