A lot of people don’t realize that “Maxx C” is something in YuGiOh we call a hoser. Hosers are cards that are immensely powerful against a specific strategy but useless against others. In the 2000s, special summoning was indeed a strategy that wasn’t necessarily needed in ALL decks. Today, special summoning is a critical aspect of the game necessary for ALL decks. Therefore, “Maxx C” is a hoser for all strategies. It doesn’t have the weakness of the traditional hoser of being dead in certain matchups. It is too strong of card design and for that reason must be banned.
Could you guys make a video on how to play yugioh in detail in 2017. I used to play in the early 2000 and now there's so many more new rules and cards I never even heard of. It would be super helpful.
The Tess-Shocker That’s completely not necessary and rude. You sound like a 12 year old who plays Fortnite and COD while stuffing his face with lukewarm Pizza Rolls.
The thing about Paul that makes him so likeable is that he doesn't JUST talk about his experience with cards and combos, he's also consistently demonstrated his ability to see nuance, which is just a good life skill to have IMO
Just drop a card destruction and that'll end the game real fast. I saw the same thing in master duel where someone dropped a Maxx c and the other person special summoned like 30 - 40 times and then dropped card destruction. Basically making the other person Deck out.
When you play pot of desires and a kid behind you says "oh wow hes playing that -9 card" and you end up winning the duel cause you drew 2 combo pieces you needed. Feels god damn good.
Okay, I’ve resolved Pot of Desires four times in my pendulum magician deck. Only once per game each. I have banished a full play set of Duelist Alliance TWICE, a full play set of Skullcrobat Joker, and both copies of both Time and Star Pendulumgraph. I have always been against the card, and every single time I use it, I hit a vital part of my deck. It has pushed me away from the card, but I have left it in my deck and continue to try using it. But twice I’ve lost purely because I resolved it and banished essential play sets of cards.
In my opinion, Kaijus are fine, but they should've had a restriction to be a little more gentle to "protect the castle" type of deck (Bujin, for example), because I don't think any of these decks have (without playing random stuff like Mask of Restrict) protection against Kaijus. Something like "If this card is special summoned from your opponent's hand or deck and is now the only monster you control: your opponent cannot attack this turn, except with "Kaiju" monsters. Your opponent cannot activate any cards or effects in response to this effect." seems to be necessary to not just tribute a Bujin Yamato and just proceed to OTK your opponent. It would've also probably mean Interrupted Kaiju Slumber could've stayed at 3, because the eff would, most of the time allow you only to deal a maximum of 1100 damage
I feel like Heavy Storm and Harpies Feather Duster need to come back. They’re no more or less powerful than Raigeki or Dark Hole and would be a welcome addition in the game for me. Certainly not because I have three copies of each waiting in the wings or anything like that though...
I feel you Paul, I honestly hated seeing Gofu being used in other decks outside of Blackwings. Coming from a pure Blackwing player, I'm happy he's home with his brethren even if he "sucks" just glad he's back to the destined spot he belongs to💚
Hello, do you know what MAXX "C" is based on, I am referring to the concept of the monster, it is some sparkly little orbs between and below furniture.
evenly matched sounds pretty good for the game i really can't be bothered playing yugioh anymore since the entire strat is "summon your entire deck turn 1 or lose" lol
I don't know if you guys noticed it, but at the start of each ... take? The sound is heavily distorted and compressed. I've heard that was a common issue with Samsung Galaxy S7 phones, maybe it's persistent with more recent models... I think letting the phone record for a bit before start talking would solve that, then you can just cut the part where the sound is still adjusting
Really I never thought about it my friend played it all the time but my decks were monster based ( six samurai and deskbot) so I guess I never cared whether it was gone or not
I feel like no matter what happens if a card gets banned or not banned or limited or whatever it may be, people are going to be pissed off about something.
You can still technically pendulum summon even if Dimensional Barrier is played. It's just that you can't special summon pendulum monsters and most pendulum themed decks play all pendulums. You can still pendulum summon normal and effect monsters that aren't pendulum monsters though even if Dimensional Barrier is used to negate pendulum effects. So if there's something similar like Damage Juggler in the future that is just an effect monster that helps pendulums, they could still pendulum summon it to xyz with a normal summoned Skullcrobat.
Funny how they came out with this card, and Yet Link Monsters are now a thing! Konami's Hindsight is 20-20 and seems Deliberate in their making cards! They Need to Errata Dimensional Barrier!
heavy storm imo is just too good for synergy with newer or even future decks that plus from backrow removal, feather duster can come back at 1 imo, some decks play no backrow so it won't even be played in some formats outside of side & there are multiple outs to side in vs it if your deck is all backrow & those outs also out twin twister
On topic of Heavy Storm, coming from someone who hasn't played competitively since late 2015 (I think that's when Kozmo started showing up, I know for sure I was using Odd-Eyes Magician), is it the fact that it's destruction or that all backrow is gone that brings the controversy? If it's destruction, then Giant Trunade is an option, as it just bounces back. But knowing me, I'd only use it to end games that turn, so that might be it. I definitely agree that it's super sacky, especially as someone that hates facing a big backrow. But I still would like to see these cards come back, if not then a retrained version of them, like a "Medium Storm", destroying x amount of backrow on both sides of the field, or preventing the turn player from attacking that turn. Localized Trunade is coming in Extreme Force hitting only set backrow, so maybe that addresses an issue. Probably not the whole issue if continuous spells/traps are a bigger issue. Again, haven't really played since Kozmo days so my opinion doesn't hold weight. Just curious as all.
I havent used pot of desires yet but from what i have seen its a -9 if I'm honest what if you banish all of one of your combo pieces... what if you banish 10 good cards and the next 2 cards are crap... its a risk card and it doesnt seem worth it
I actually think pot of desires is balanced. I've never used it, but I have played against deck that run 3, and sometimes when people look at the cards they lost, they just surrendered the duel on the spot, because too many of their important cards were lost. Just some food for thought.
That's actually why I have never run it, most of my decks require me to search out or draw specific cards for the combo, and if I banish them...the deck won't work near as well.
I saw heavy stormed and literally forgot what the hell it did I haven't seen or heard of the card in so long lmfao great video tho keep up the awesome work
Jar of desires (trap) banish the top 5 cards of your deck (either face-up or face-down) draw 1 card. If this is the only card you control while you have less than 2. Cards in your hand draw 2 cards instead.
10 months later: 2 of these cards turned out too be too broken for competitive play and they ARE polarizing. Maxx C is banned and every banlist people want it to come off and Master Peace is banned and everyone is happy with that.
I run a 48 card build of vendreads where I use 2 pot of desires and I find it to be really helpful for a few reasons, first, omega can return anything it banishes to the grave, secondly, vendreads do a lot of banishing what with the ritual spell, the effects of the ritual monsters granted by revenants and hound horde, slayers effect, chimera effect, nights effect ect. basically there's a lot of banishing on both sides. I also run 2 necroface which has prevented me from decking out before and allowed me to win
I feel that Pot of Desires is a good card in the right deck. Soul Absorption, Necroface, Gren Maju Da Eiza are cards that complement it. Anything else, I'll probably just stick with Pot of Greed (cus I don't play tournaments).
Out of curiosity if you could create a new archetype what would be their name and effects the rule is you have to mention atleast 1 spell 1 main deck monster and 1 extra deck monster
I know it's not related to this video, but team APS and Yugioh nation can I get some advice?! My 8 year old is currently learning to play, and I am trying to support his new hobby. What are the staple cards that I should be buying him that will be useful for deck building? I have not been able to find very recent information on recommended staple cards to buy up. Maybe this could be a video idea team APS. He is currently playing with a version of the Dino Smasher budget deck that we built from watching a team APS video. My boy and I love learning from your videos team APS! We are also one magician's navigation away from fininally completing his dark magician girl main deck that we have building.
squawkingJAYHAWK Going off of viability and ignoring prices, some of the biggest staples right now are: - Ash Blossom & Joyous Spring - Ghost Ogre & Snow Rabbit - Maxx C - Droll & Lock Bird - Ghost Reaper & Winter Cherries - Any Kaiju monsters along with Interrupted Kaiju Slumber - Dark Hole - Raigeki - Pot of Desires - Twin Twisters - Cosmic Cyclone - Dimensional Barrier - Soul Charge - Solemn Strike and Warning - Brilliant Engine (Brilliant Fusion, any Gem-Knight monster, usually Garnet, and Gem-Knight Seraphinite) There's probably more than that I'm forgetting but those are some of the most notable. Again, some of those cards are fairly expensive, so you don't have to have all of them. Additionally, some are better in certain decks that others. For example, a Magician Girl deck might benefit from cards like Pot of Desires, but don't really make a lot of use of stuff like the Brilliant Engine or Soul Charge.
squawkingJAYHAWK There aren't strictly 'staple' cards like there used to be now we have such an archetype heavy game. Some cards are staple in certain decks, but shouldn't really be payed in others (Pot of Desires is the perfect example of this). However, some affordable, strong, generic cards at the moment are things like: 3x Solemn Strike 1x Solemn Warning 3x Cosmic Cyclone 3x Dimensional Barrier 1x Dark Hole 1x Torrential Tribute 1x Maxx "C" 3x Ghost Ogre & Snow Rabbit 3x Twin Twisters 3x Pot of Desires Basically, look out for generic cards that have usefulness in a wide range of decks your son is playing. That way you'll get your money's worth due to the mileage he'll get out of them.
@@sawderf741 I am way behind in my knowledge of cards and I never had any idea of the meta. I had stopped during GX during the time Chaz was sent to a school that was in a place filled with ice and had only one card.
Anti Fun Fragrance will always be “controversial” to me It just becomes an auto win against not only pendulum decks, but almost every deck just auto loses to the card It checks pendulums sure but post MR4 is it really fair to have so many anti pendulum cards at 3?
If you banish a monster face down does that mean it doesn't count ? Like that cards effects wouldn't be valid (assuming it activates from Banished grave)
From the Wiki: "A card that is banished face-down cannot be affected by cards that specify properties of the banished card, other than the card that banished it" In other words, it's removed from play in the same sense of what that meant before, say, Invasion of Chaos, where "removing from play" became as exploitable as the Graveyard.
If Heavy Storm and/or Harpie's Feather Duster is at 1, it will make people think before setting facedown backrow and from playing continuous spell and field spells.
To be fair, if heavy storm is banned why is raigeki still around and dark hole at 2? I mean i know the meta doesn't care too much about monster removal atm, and spell and traps are usually better being on the board while monsters are fine being in grave with a lot of decks, but still. OCG has feather duster, and our monster removal is worse (in a good way) than our spell and trap removal. We should have something. Twin twisters doesn't seem to do enough most games. Like back during True Draco/Zoo era. If you played TD and they set full backrow, even with atwin twisters they would still have enough cards to stop most of what you are doing.
The most likely reason is that unlike monsters who can be destroyed multiple ways spell/traps can only be destroyed by effects not to mention there usually the defensive and up until recently spells and traps didn't have graveyard effects so if they went to the graveyard you usually wouldn't be getting them back
List of my cards in my fun play Banned Deck people hate and are so bad they will never unban them including Harpie's Feather Duster, Pot of Greed, Graceful Charity, Fiber Jar, Self-Destruct Button and Witch of the Black Forest as some of my warm fuzzy favorites.
HEavy Storm was FUCKING healthy for the game. Back in the day, when heavy storm was at 2 then 1...ppl played more conservative. It was more of “sum monster, set 1 or 2 backrow and pass” in fear of getting heavy storm if you set 2 or more. Heavy Storm is auto win against Paleo and many other backrow reliant decks.
Pot of (something, maybe The Forbidden) Shuffles 2 banished cars in the deck or graveyard then draw one card. You can only activate one "Pot of The Forbidden" per turn.
I've got an interesting idea for a card, if your opponent would tribute a monster for an effect or a summon, you get to choose which monster they tribute
I only have one massive issue with Pot of Desires: say I'm playing Blue Eyes and activate this card. What happens if I banish one Alternative, two plain BEWD, and both of my Chaos MAX? It's not a guaranteed loss, and the odds of it happening are INCREDIBLY slim, but if two of those BEWD are in that -9, the duel is practically over.
Wouldn’t Elemental HERO Stratos also be on a list of this? I can’t remember a good conversation were someone said Stratos should be ban while I think it shouldn’t be banned.
I was suprized not to see Zoodiac anything on your list. Pot of desires and other banish face down still have the ever so useful weakness of necro face.
all of the complaints are just "I want to win quickly" seriously every single card shown slowed the game down. what's wrong with wanting to make a deck that controls what the opponent does?
What good are ten cards to you if you're not going to be playing long enough to draw them? Those two cards you get from Pot of Desires may make the difference between winning and losing, and that's all that matters.
I dont personally like Pot of Desires. I know the math, I know that some people like it, but dropping 1/4 of my deck for 2 cards? I dont like those odds.
With how fast duels are anymore, that's not a big price. The card is absolutely amazing, I used to be on the other side of saying it was terrible, but I tried it and it works wonders
every single card you mention has an out to some harder than others evenly matched, but it has an out theres no yugioh card that doesnt have an out to or it wouldnt be made kaijus answer alot of problems but even kaijus can be stopped if you hate kaijus so match rivalyr of warlords vanitys fiends fossil dyna haha idk im just saying people who complain that much , there are outs to it play them or shut up only card i ever felt really salty about was fiary tail snow but even than theres outs to it so i dont get that mad about it
sure you have an out to everthing, but not deck has that luxury being able to out everything usually comes at the cost of consistency for the win condition of the deck while this is why the side deck is a thing even that often cannot cover everything in a good enough way
Pot of desires is good in certain decks, decks like ddd can play it cause they play multiple copies of almost everything. Decks like frightfur can't play it well cause if they loose some combo peaces, they just loose the duel.
Here i am only just getting the notification when apparently the vid has been out for 6 hours. I was ready to be hyped for notification squad but nvm i guess ;(
I might just be dumb, but how is "that grass looks greener" too OP or unfair? I haven't played competitive in a while, so I'm not familiar with a lot of things
I just hate pot of desires because I literally had it banish all 3 of my cyber dragon cores. With my cyberdragon deck then in my blue eyes deck both arkbraves and 2 of my white stones got banished. I've played 10 or so games with it and it has never won a game for me or really even contributed to my winning but it has been the express reason for my loss in 3 games
Quay Akins fair enough. After looking at those two decks again I kinda realized "wow... I really genuinely can NOT afford to lose more than one copy of pretty much any card in this deck"
Its understandable, the luck factor of that Card is out of the Player's hand and really is meant for OTK styled decks. And While my D/D/Ds can use it, I don't play it. There are Other Draw cards that I use that can and Will provide better ways of drawing two cards that don't force me to play such a hard Cost!
the only reason i hate pot of desires is the fact that it can cause you to deck out and you banish too many cards that could give you the win however though it has its uses and theres nothing wrong with that
Waiting for the deck that pretty much requires pot of desires. Like an archetype that banishes like how lightsworns sends cards to the grave like no tomorrow.
People already make necroface (or whatever it's name is) decks. Plus that one card that gives you lifepoints when a card is banished. Pair thag up with the trickstar card and you have a lot of advantage
Pot of Desires is amazing! Whoever says otherwise hasn't tried it, doesn't understand when to use it, or used it in the wrong decks. Yes, sometimes it doesn't work in your favor, but that's one out of 10 duels.
I played it on YGOPRO once or twice - rather recklessly I might add - needed a certain card for a fusion summon and played Pot of Desires...the odds were not in my favor that day. Maybe I should try again with a little more caution.
Only people who say Desires is bad have never actually played it. Just sayin' but it's even better in practice than on paper(or they've only ever played gimmicky combo decks). It IS the new Pot of Greed. It's on the same scale as Pot of Greed, it's a gamble to get rid of the cards you don't want to draw(like say with Brilliant Fusion, you drew Garnet so hey, how about Desires banishes your dead Brilliant Fusions in the deck) and coupled with hand traps that you run at 3 it doesn't matter if you banish an Ash you've got 10 less cards between your hand and the card you need to win. Playing Invoked and didn't open a way to get to Invocation? Well chances are extremely likely that you won't banish all 3 in a row so go ahead and Desires maybe you'll most likely grab an Aleister, or a Meltdown, or a Terraforming and hey now you can start your plays. And what did it cost you, a few hand traps and some backrow? Not bad at all
shawn redmon Just about all of them. There isn't a single deck that wouldn't benefit from the supreme card filtering that Charity gives you PLUS the fact that it lets you dump cards for grave effects and synergy
Do you think he is here? Reading our comments? Ready to duel all of us at once in an epic battle of the fans?
He is.

- Brilliant Engine (Brilliant Fusion, any Gem-Knight monster, usually Garnet, and Gem-Knight Seraphinite)
There's probably more than that I'm forgetting but those are some of the most notable.
However, some affordable, strong, generic cards at the moment are things like:
3x Solemn Strike
1x Solemn Warning
3x Cosmic Cyclone
3x Dimensional Barrier
1x Dark Hole
1x Torrential Tribute
1x Maxx "C"
3x Ghost Ogre & Snow Rabbit
3x Twin Twisters
3x Pot of Desires
Basically, look out for generic cards that have usefulness in a wide range of decks your son is playing. That way you'll get your money's worth due to the mileage he'll get out of them.
I kinda want heavy storm and feather duster back, but I wasn’t around when they were legal so idk if I should want them back.
Awesome video bro!!
I can see pot of desire being good in a deck where you want to banish your cards
Like gren maju
@@sawderf741 I am way behind in my knowledge of cards and I never had any idea of the meta. I had stopped during GX during the time Chaz was sent to a school that was in a place filled with ice and had only one card.
Mystic mine? Mystic mine.
Anti Fun Fragrance will always be “controversial” to me
It just becomes an auto win against not only pendulum decks, but almost every deck just auto loses to the card
It checks pendulums sure but post MR4 is it really fair to have so many anti pendulum cards at 3?
Imperial order is more sacky IMO.
1) Its at 1, meaning drawing into it is sacky
2) Its more effective
If you banish a monster face down does that mean it doesn't count ? Like that cards effects wouldn't be valid (assuming it activates from
Banished grave)
From the Wiki: "A card that is banished face-down cannot be affected by cards that specify properties of the banished card, other than the card that banished it"
In other words, it's removed from play in the same sense of what that meant before, say, Invasion of Chaos, where "removing from play" became as exploitable as the Graveyard.
Painful greed. Pay 2000 lp draw 2 cards you can only activate 1 painful greed per duel
I would gladly pay 2000 LP to draw two cards, that card would see so much play in every deck.
Wayy too overpowered
Rabid Dragon change that to pay 6500 life points
That is rediculousy broken
How about 1 per duel. People would play 3 anyway, something gotta be fodder for twin twister
What's the whole thing with the sea turtle Kaiju? Surely it sucks cause you must have kaiju counters whatever they are to use its negation ability?
You Tribute your opponent's troublesome boss monsters to summon it to the field.
I wish Heavy Storm would come back to being at 1.
Josh Dracoian too broken
Then what would be the point of having twin twister and all these others backrow removal. It's too broken
Staren san the point would be the same as it is now. The guy said heavy at 1, not unlimited
If Heavy Storm and/or Harpie's Feather Duster is at 1, it will make people think before setting facedown backrow and from playing continuous spell and field spells.
Josh Dracoian at this point, I agree xD
2:30 in the morning #notificationsquad
Linstead localized trunade and heavy dust storm don't help?
You should find out that dark hole is at 1
The most likely reason is that unlike monsters who can be destroyed multiple ways spell/traps can only be destroyed by effects not to mention there usually the defensive and up until recently spells and traps didn't have graveyard effects so if they went to the graveyard you usually wouldn't be getting them back
Raigeiki and dark hole is at 1
Linstead
TCG Konami doesn’t like the card, and our formats less backrow heavy than the OCG
List of my cards in my fun play Banned Deck people hate and are so bad they will never unban them including Harpie's Feather Duster, Pot of Greed, Graceful Charity, Fiber Jar, Self-Destruct Button and Witch of the Black Forest as some of my warm fuzzy favorites.
i wonder what happen if they give one monster 3k atk and def and then say this card is unaffected by card effect and can not be tributed
HEavy Storm was FUCKING healthy for the game. Back in the day, when heavy storm was at 2 then 1...ppl played more conservative. It was more of “sum monster, set 1 or 2 backrow and pass” in fear of getting heavy storm if you set 2 or more. Heavy Storm is auto win against Paleo and many other backrow reliant decks.
you can run lapis, for linkuriboh
Pot of (something, maybe The Forbidden)
Shuffles 2 banished cars in the deck or graveyard then draw one card. You can only activate one "Pot of The Forbidden" per turn.
cards*
I've got an interesting idea for a card, if your opponent would tribute a monster for an effect or a summon, you get to choose which monster they tribute
Pot of Desires is to draw power as Time Wizard is to field whipping.
It's clearly a Joey card: It's a gamble.
I see the issue; You are playing Chaos MAX build.
Also Pot isnt a neg 9. is a plus +1. I suggest you learn the principle of card economy in Yugioh fren.
Wouldn’t Elemental HERO Stratos also be on a list of this? I can’t remember a good conversation were someone said Stratos should be ban while I think it shouldn’t be banned.
Do more people use Max "C" to stop their opponent or do they use it more to draw cards?
Shadow Spector yes.
I'm surprised that malevolant catastrophe isn't banned as well since it's basically the trap version of heavy storm
I was suprized not to see Zoodiac anything on your list.
Pot of desires and other banish face down still have the ever so useful weakness of necro face.
Surprised vanity's emptiness didn't make the list. Anytime that gets brought up at my locals the room devolves into arguing
all of the complaints are just "I want to win quickly" seriously every single card shown slowed the game down. what's wrong with wanting to make a deck that controls what the opponent does?
What good are ten cards to you if you're not going to be playing long enough to draw them? Those two cards you get from Pot of Desires may make the difference between winning and losing, and that's all that matters.
I dont personally like Pot of Desires. I know the math, I know that some people like it, but dropping 1/4 of my deck for 2 cards? I dont like those odds.
ReasonForNo im not a fan either everyone has their own preference
I would only play it in a toolbox or non extended combo based deck such as rank 4 toolbox or even pendulum magicians
Works really well with gren maju de ezia
With how fast duels are anymore, that's not a big price. The card is absolutely amazing, I used to be on the other side of saying it was terrible, but I tried it and it works wonders
I played pot of desires for a short time and it only resulted in all my combo pieces being banished. It's a bad card in most decks
I think max C is a great card (design wise) it was Konami’s way of trying to slow down the turbo special summon race that it is.
I've never felt more terrified when someone draws and immediately enters battle phase
In my opinion people who get mad about it are the people who can't figure out how to get past a card
every single card you mention has an out to some harder than others evenly matched, but it has an out theres no yugioh card that doesnt have an out to or it wouldnt be made kaijus answer alot of problems but even kaijus can be stopped if you hate kaijus so match rivalyr of warlords vanitys fiends fossil dyna haha idk im just saying people who complain that much , there are outs to it play them or shut up only card i ever felt really salty about was fiary tail snow but even than theres outs to it so i dont get that mad about it
sure you have an out to everthing, but not deck has that luxury
being able to out everything usually comes at the cost of consistency for the win condition of the deck
while this is why the side deck is a thing even that often cannot cover everything in a good enough way
Pot of desires is good in certain decks, decks like ddd can play it cause they play multiple copies of almost everything. Decks like frightfur can't play it well cause if they loose some combo peaces, they just loose the duel.
Here i am only just getting the notification when apparently the vid has been out for 6 hours. I was ready to be hyped for notification squad but nvm i guess ;(
Maxx C should be unbanned with all the new cards that came out since then
You should do an updated list cause some of these cards have been banned like Maxx C
You owe me a phone, I broke it over that pot of desires spot! J/K keep making great content! Like most draw cards. It go's with what it go's with.
Also pot of desires is a good card for return banished cards to the deck/field decks
i just want a card of demise reprint
seven is it expensive???
It'll probably be in the Kaiba Legendary Collection next year
25$
White oh. It deserves a reprint for sure then
Mega tin is $3
I might just be dumb, but how is "that grass looks greener" too OP or unfair? I haven't played competitive in a while, so I'm not familiar with a lot of things
I just hate pot of desires because I literally had it banish all 3 of my cyber dragon cores. With my cyberdragon deck then in my blue eyes deck both arkbraves and 2 of my white stones got banished. I've played 10 or so games with it and it has never won a game for me or really even contributed to my winning but it has been the express reason for my loss in 3 games
Last Chapter All I have to say is, ten games isn't really a ton of games to try it out. I do however, understand your frustration at such bad luck.
Daniel Ramsey Cost probably not as hard as you think
I got +22 off of Spyrals with Maxx "C" which changed my opinion on it. Giving +22 to a pendulum player turn 1 is suicide
I agree with most of these, for me I can't stand single cards that can destroy multiple ones barring a few monster effect ones.
I want an Evenly Matched reprint because that card is super expensive, and I can definitely see the value in a card like that.
The controversy that I experienced was the trickstar reincarnation with droll and lock bird combo.
I don't hate pot of desires but with my main deck it would be detrimental. I do mostly deck searching anyway.
the only reason i hate pot of desires is the fact that it can cause you to deck out and you banish too many cards that could give you the win however though it has its uses and theres nothing wrong with that
Waiting for the deck that pretty much requires pot of desires. Like an archetype that banishes like how lightsworns sends cards to the grave like no tomorrow.
That would be Metaphys, but is not good if your cards have to be banished FACE-DOWN which means no effects will activate
People already make necroface (or whatever it's name is) decks. Plus that one card that gives you lifepoints when a card is banished. Pair thag up with the trickstar card and you have a lot of advantage
i love the music in the backgrounds didnt know you guys were a fan of persona persona 5 is my goty
Why a new video at 206 am man? :p
MalevolentBlu that's what I said when I got the notification!
lmao I coincidentally woke up 2 minutes before my phone buzzed with the notification xD i really need to get back to bed
Pot of Desires is amazing! Whoever says otherwise hasn't tried it, doesn't understand when to use it, or used it in the wrong decks. Yes, sometimes it doesn't work in your favor, but that's one out of 10 duels.
I played it for 3 duels in ABC and every time I played it nothing good came from it. Hated the card since it banished all my Buster drakes
Drivillian B I've tried it and I didn't like it and if your wondering I used it in an invoked deck
I played it on YGOPRO once or twice - rather recklessly I might add - needed a certain card for a fusion summon and played Pot of Desires...the odds were not in my favor that day. Maybe I should try again with a little more caution.
What about Giant Trunade?
+Riceball 1 Similar enough to Heavy Storm imo
Can't Tri-gate wizard negate evenly matched?
Not bad at all
They should bring back graceful charity it draw 3 then discard 2 thats not broken
Pet Watch the discard 2 would be a bonus to the draw not a downside nowadays.
The card is so good it could bring burning abyss back from the death
shawn redmon Just about all of them. There isn't a single deck that wouldn't benefit from the supreme card filtering that Charity gives you PLUS the fact that it lets you dump cards for grave effects and synergy
lightsworns
Burning Abyss and Dark Worlds just became top teir again. Congrats.
I think Dark Worlds would at least....not sure tbh
