- Nurse Elyse Isopo is on her sixth 13-hour day this week at North Shore University Hospital, and it’s taking a toll. We went behind the scenes at the hospital on Long Island that is so overwhelmed, they’re turning lecture halls into patient care rooms. When she gets home, all she can do is shower, maybe eat, and go to bed to save energy for the next day. But before she can greet her family and pets at home, she has to go through an extraordinary disinfection process. #InsideEdition

Anytime my dad comes home from work be leaves his boots on the front porch and then goes to the laundry room and takes off his uniform. Just so that we don’t get the virus. My dad is a paramedic

I know all of this, my mom is a nurse, and sometimes she takes care of corona virused people, every night i pray for her to come home after her night shift. ;c

My mom works in a medical field. My mom worries everyday coming home scared she brought a disease, the virus, or anything to me and my papaw and my dad. So this dude went to the hospital, he tested positive for corona, then WENT to my moms office, she took care of him, without saying he had corona virus! Who does that?!

My aunt is a nurse. Her unit takes care of the cases that test negative. But considering that the people who tested negative were probably waiting in line with positive testers....there is a chance they can get it. Also my aunt says that they have to wear the same mask for 4 days before getting a new one. They also have a list to choose who goes down to help the positive unit and they had to make sure that the pregnant women weren’t on the list....

I really appreciate how nurses and doctors work really hard with Covid-19 patients. What I don’t seem to understand is how “housekeeping” is never mentioned on top of that how hard they work to prevent the spreading. This is sad.

In my homecountry, even if it's a developing country, all healthworkers stay in nearby hotels. They have to consider this now to make their lives easier and safer. Lesser anxiety and can sleep better. They also do 14 days on and 14 days off to give way for self quarantine.

Yes, I do exactly the same thing. I work in a long term independent living facility. I disinfect everything. Take my work clothes off and take a shower before I hug my family. It sucks to do that because they have to wait to see me
