JR Tatsuno branch, Shinonoi, and Ōito Line driver's view from Okaya to Shinano-Ōmachi

- The Chūō Main Line connects Tokyo Station and Nagoya Station through the inland areas of Japan. With Shiojiri Station as the boundary, JR East operates on the east side and JR Central operates on the west side.
The Tatsuno branch line was part of the Chuo Main Line, which opened in 1906, but the old line became a branch line in 1983 due to the opening of a new line that shortcuts Okaya Station and Shiojiri Station.
The Shinonoi Line connects Shiojiri Station, Shinonoi Station, and Nagano Station, but this train runs from Shiojiri Station to Matsumoto Station. This section was opened in 1902.
From Matsumoto Station, change the train number and run on the Ōito Line. The Ōito Line connects Matsumoto Station and Itoigawa Station facing the Sea of Japan. This train ends at Shinano-Ōmachi Station on the way. This section opened in 1916. All the sections of this train are located in Nagano prefecture and are operated by JR East.

1:09:00 Hotaka station. I've been here first time in 2001 second time in 2015 and I will go there again soon when Covid-19 is over. I miss Daio Wasabi Farm which in only 15 minutes away from this station. See you soon driver !!
