    *"The best time to plant a tree was 20 years ago and the next best time is now"* I consider this to be best motivational quote I've heard in a very long time. But motivational quotes are useless if you don't practice what you preach*

      @Tuberville Geurink I invest with a professional called Mr. Charles Schwab by a crypto company that trades for us and returns profits on weekly basis for me and you can invest your capital and get weekly Returns of investment (ROI) without any extra fees attached

    Great video! You are inspiring. To the comments section: don't sleep on print on demand! I'm primarily a graphic designer but make $50-$100 per month from work I created several years ago that still sell well, and I haven't been actively uploading new designs for 2 years or so. It's a legit way to earn passive income as a designer or artist, and can be scaled if you put in the effort.

    Thank you for giving real numbers. Honestly, I'm doing almost all the mentioned things, i license, have POD site, do commissions, and just started a youtube channel. It's taken a good amount of time for me to reach here and I'd love to scale higher, just like you are! Thanks for sharing these tips Mimi!

    Excellent work! Your TH-cam videos, social media presence, products and creative work look so professional. It’s clear that you and your partner (I think I read somewhere that he helps you with some tasks like editing) have put a ton of time and effort into creating this and it shows, the quality of the work speaks for itself. I appreciate your transparency throughout this process so much as well. Thank you for sharing this! ❤️🙌🙌🙌

    Thank you for this video, it's so encouraging seeing another artist make money.
    I'd love to see a video on how you go about pricing for commissions, I find it one of the hardest parts and have been putting off doing them because I just don't know where to start! Especially if it's a digital file which they can use over and over again, so do you charge more for that? I do ink drawings which I then make digital so its quite a bit of work involved. Anyway, just thought that'd be an interesting topic to explore 😊
    Mardi. Xx

    • @MimimooIllustration
      @MimimooIllustration  2 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      Yes it's definitely tricky to know where to start with pricing! You don't want to undercharge but you also don't want to overcharge, I'll definitely add it to my list to make a video about!

    I am curious about earning money with other styles of art - fantasy illustrations & watercolour digital paintings. I understand who can potentially order a commission art in a cute cartoony style of their friend or pet but I’m not sure people would pay for digital copies of fantasy characters or scans of a sketchbook. What are your thoughts on this?

    I have a question. Art-related companies seem like they don't always like to pay content creators. I have seen countless videos of artists saying they were sent this for free and it would be tablets or art supplies. My question is if you have worked with any art-related companies how did you persuade them to pay you?

    • @MimimooIllustration
      @MimimooIllustration  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi! If you're talking about brand sponsporships and collaboration within content, then it really depends on the situation. Sometimes companies will pay to be featured as a sponsorship, some will provide a free product as a gifted collaboration. It's totally up to you as the creator what you want to accept, and if you only want to be paid and don't want to receive any free product then you can tell the companies that and it's up to them whether they want to work with you or not. I did a gifted collaboration with Cricut 😊
