Wasn't aware there were any Long John Silver's locations remaining in the L.A. area, but Gardena is within a reasonable driving distance of my crib in the South Pasadena area, so I'll have to check it out. Good job, Ian! (Next time you're in Gardena, check out the eye-popping burger creations at Oh My Burger. Pricey, but really good.)
Their chicken back in the 90s used to be really good. Haven't had one near me since my college days(the 90s). I'd go get chicken tenders, fries and hush puppies and those fried batter scraps.. great meal.
You need to review Pioneer Chicken in Bell Gardens..Once Pioneer was everywhere in So Cal. Now only 2 remain. Awesome chicken from my child hood and still make the 50 mile drive from time to time just to enjoy it.

Since Captain Ds just started this chicken as well, this is clearly a new product from restaurant supply companies. Nothing is actually prepared at the various chains.
