I really hate the one-false-start-and-you’re-out rule. I know it reduces the amount of false starts, but to travel all that way to compete internationally then have to go home from one mistake doesn’t sit right with me.
I favorite part is at 22:26 when Lolo went to aid Foster-Hilton. I understand that she was devastated but the way Foster-Hilton acted was honestly unacceptable, she literally threw a tantrum and was rude to Lolo when Lolo was just trying to help and show compassion, which I really applaud her for because if I recall NO ONE went to Lolos' aid when she clipped the hurdle and went down in Beijing. True sportsmanship.
I think you are honestly looking at this the wrong way. Considering that it was the Olympic FINAL and not a qualifying or semi round and she was 4th finishing.10 seconds out of a medal, I wouldn't immediately go congratulate my teammates either. You have to realize that's a lot to take in coming so close to a medal and not getting it. You also have to look at the fact that in this video it was the first round and Hylton is always in the Finals. This is the Olympics and to know that you can make the finals and go out in the first round is devastating. The biggest thing though is that Lolo can feel her pain because 4 years ago in Beijing she was leading (just like Hylton was here) and stumbled on a hurdle and finished 7th (Just like Hylton did here) and did not medal (Just like Hylton did not advance here) So Lol went to console her because she knows how it feels. To mention how she didn't congratulate her teammates is irrelevant because my comment spoke about how rude and child-like Hylton was when Lolo was just trying to portray good sportsmanship. And as I stated in my original Comment NO ONE went to her aid when she fell in Beijing. As I recall Harper was in that same race..... But again this has nothing to do with that. This is about Lolo trying to show compassion and Hylton being plain rude
When Hylton threw the tantrum i could see why, these atheletes work, sooo hard, and yea, i can imagine that not advancing can be really hard to swallow. But look at Lolo. She was so close to medaling, and then she clipped the hurdle. That, is even harder to swallow. That sucks. Itd be ok for her to throw a tantrum there.
Athletes spend 4 years plus training for the olympics, they literally give up their lives to compete. I can completely understand why she was so upset. It’s easy to sit their and judge when you aren’t in her shoes. A little bit of compassion for her and less judgement would be nice.
Great video on olimpica athletes i really like watching your videos there really cool I feel sorry for brigtie foster hylton she was doing really well up until the last moment 😊👍👍
@6:54 The Kazahkstani hurdler Natalya Ivoninskaya is sporting a ton of back acne; a tell tale sign of steroid use. She was later suspended in 2018 after the IOC back tested all urine samples from 2012 using up to date methods. The tests found DHCMT - or turinabol - and stanozolol.
As of 1:59, the Malian female athlete broke the law when she was running before the command began to take about a second. As a result of this haste, she was eliminated. This will be an experience for other track and field athletes, so don't make the same mistakes as the Mali female athlete in the video above. Already a Summer Olympic arena, you shouldn't make these basic mistakes. OMG she is so sorry.
These people train and train and train and train 24/7 it's like you spend 6 years studying for a test, then absolutely fail, how you feel knowing you spent 6 years of your life studying for a test you failed?
+TheMicky53 she's not wrong. She could have had that and she knows that. After all of her training she messed up on something so little. It's harder then it looks
Dude I’m shook, I’m barely in 5th grade and a girl in my class runs the 100m 15 seconds, and I know it’s true cause I was there when the coach put down her time
@Alex Scott She’s mad. She could’ve won if it wasn’t for that little mistake. I hear people say this was her final shot at a metal so for all of it to fail so miserably. I see where she’s coming from.
@@ferrallezz5246 yes but she's at the Olympics and that is terrible sportsmanship. Like do it behind the scenes. You know how many people wish to even walk on a Olympic track. And she gets to compete, and sure she messed up but a good athlete doesn't through a fit after, or at least in front of a crowd. I would have been impressed if she held her head high and accepted the fact that she messed up rather than crying like a child in front of the whole world

Penalized, but not disqualified.
It stops athletes from trying to gain an advantage by anticipating the gun.

lol when her teammates medaled in the final lolo didn't do shit
If I found out my teammates were talking shit about me behind my back I would ignore them too
Kenneth Coleman they didn't say shit about her. That controversy happened after the Olympics.

the fact that she doesnt have the world record speaks otherwise

That isn't really the case. It was her final shot a an olympic medal.... She was in good shape so it was possible. That's why she was acting out.
And Lolo left her right on the track where she collapsed at. LOL.

Congrats! You’ve figured out why Olympics are fun to watch!
they show the WINNER the most time before the run
Artur Baranov no, they usually show the most expected to win based on previous races and times
But that wasn't fair to Lolo in her shining moment.
