I just watched his documentary and screw up or not, you have to have respect for the man kicking a decades long smack habit. He was circling the drain and he fought back. God, i love a trier and a underdog 🤘🏻
I never thought I'd hear the song Sub-Basement performed live. It's one of the doomiest, most bitter and honest songs ever written. What a treat to hear it live. And the song selection is fantastic too. The Bees, Burning Rays, Downhill Slope, Much too Young to Know, If the Winds Would Change, Target and the Bedemon songs are all absolutely phenomenal songs I wish Pentagram themselves would play. I'm also so stoked to hear City Romance, it was by far the best "new" song written for Show 'em How. What a monster of a groove. But the biggest surprise to me is the legendary Burning Saviour. I never, ever thought Bobby would ever perform that one live ever again after becoming Christian. But it's one of the most anti-Satan songs ever written. So glad it lives on here. Bobby also sounded fantastic on If the Winds Would Change and Much Too Young to Know. My only complaint? I wish the band would have kept the original tempo of the songs. The allure in Pentagram's music is that slowed-down, doomy groove. Without it, songs like Downhill Slope and If the Winds Would Change just sound insincere. But overall, I'm glad these songs got their chance to shine during Bobby's lifetime, so he got to perform them. It's a true treat.
dude, i'd probably take out a second mortgage on the house to hear all of sub basement live. bloodlust is one of the all-time greatest doom metal songs ever recorded and never gets played live. if doom metal is all about desperation and despair, no one was more desperate and in despair in 2001 than you know who. sub's in my top 10 of all time... maybe i'm doomed too
You area legend! I just read about this show and hoped someone had uploaded it! Looking forward to hear these tunes and seeing how they translate. Peace ✌️ Pentagram forever 🖤

Just a weird nit picky comment...but: At the beginning, I was getting into a vibe with that organ intro but then the guitarist "checks" to make sure he has signal with a loud out of place CHUNK. Lost me right then... He could contribute to that cool vibe and check signal...just play something that fits the organ intro. Otherwise I like this.
