Because Capitol didn't release it as a commercial single. They issued it as a Promo to Mainstream Rock radio, where it hit #18. But I think it deserved an across the board commercial release!

I love this part of her career I believe it was in the middle 80s she was an old she wasn’t young she was perfect. She was perfect in every age but this was one of my favorite songs on this album.
The guitarist standing to her Tina's left on stage who is Laurie Wisefield of Wishbone Ash fame, I recall that both he and John Miles (remember him) toured with Tina at the time.
Baby, tell me what you're trying to prove Playing games with my heart Hey, now listen I ain't got to take one more night You're the one who broke the rules An' I'm the one who played the fool Now you're trying to tell me, it's alright You should have known better than to hurt a friend You'll never get another chance again You'll be back where you started I know you won't admit it But you're brokenhearted You'll be back where you started You think it's going to be easy But it just gets harder, harder, harder, yeah You had a way with words One look an' I was under your spell I didn't know, should I stay, should I run You can't deny that you told me lies Love 'em an' leave 'em baby, that's your style I'm not afraid to take life as it comes You play with fire, guess you'll never learn You messed with me baby, going to get burned You'll be back where you started An' you know how it feels When you've been discarded You'll be back where you started But you think you got it made But it won't get you far No it won't get you far You'll be back where you started Who's going to help ya, throw you a lifeline? I'll tell you one thing, you've really done it this time You took your one chance an' let it slip away You never going to let it settle down The river's gone now all over the town You'll be back where you started I know you won't admit it But you're brokenhearted You'll be back where you started You think it's going to be easy But it just gets harder You'll be back where you started An' you know how it feels When you've been discarded You'll be back where you started
Great Perfomrance, you can tell they put a lot of money into the vidiegraphy of this live performance to maybe make a music video out of it. there are so many cameras and its very planned. I wonder if they asked the audience to dress up their best (for the 80's) or if this is just how people showed up at concerts? Also I wonder if the person in the audience at 3:48 is Madonna?
@@markdani8736 I agree, it's such a diverse body of work. Not to mention a superstar project! All the rock Gods of the time contributed to it: David Bowie, Bryan Adams, Mark Knopfler, Eric Clapton....and Terry Britten and Graham Lyle once again wrote some brilliant tunes! I think it deserved to be a bigger album than it was. How on earth did Two People not become absolutely massive?
GAH I NEED THIS ON DVD! I still have it on video and I used to watch it all the time when I was little, but now we've got a frigging DVD player and I can't watch it! Sitll have the VCR but I don't know how to plug it in and everything x]
I always wanted to love this song, but something about it never made me like it much. I guess Tina felt the same way, it was never heard from again after 1988.
Tina 's voice is high voltage!she can sang any music genre! Rip lady tina!🙏🔥
If you have never had the true privilege to see her LIVE. OMG… I saw her in 1985 on the Private Dancer tour. A powerhouse of talent. ❤❤love ❤❤

One of the best Tina tracks! I have no idea why this didn't become a huge hit.
Scott Cody it won a Grammy though
It got Side 2 of Break Every Rule off to a good start
@@awm8221 side 2 of Break Every Rule is unbeatable

Because Capitol didn't release it as a commercial single. They issued it as a Promo to Mainstream Rock radio, where it hit #18. But I think it deserved an across the board commercial release!

I LOVEEEEEEEEEEEE Tina's wig!!!!
Bryan Adams is great but TINA is stratospheric!!!
Indeed!
The guitarist standing to her Tina's left on stage who is Laurie Wisefield of Wishbone Ash fame, I recall that both he and John Miles (remember him) toured with Tina at the time.
Laurie Wisefield indeed !!
What did is this?
This sounds better than the version on the album, where Turner's voice is kind of drowned out by the band.
there is just one tina
Yes really amazing ❤️
Cantora maravilhosa descanso minha mente 💙❤
A musica que mais gostei do album na epoca..
Fantastic.

Baby, tell me what you're trying to prove
Playing games with my heart
Hey, now listen
I ain't got to take one more night
You're the one who broke the rules
An' I'm the one who played the fool
Now you're trying to tell me, it's alright
You should have known better than to hurt a friend
You'll never get another chance again
You'll be back where you started
I know you won't admit it
But you're brokenhearted
You'll be back where you started
You think it's going to be easy
But it just gets harder, harder, harder, yeah
You had a way with words
One look an' I was under your spell
I didn't know, should I stay, should I run
You can't deny that you told me lies
Love 'em an' leave 'em baby, that's your style
I'm not afraid to take life as it comes
You play with fire, guess you'll never learn
You messed with me baby, going to get burned
You'll be back where you started
An' you know how it feels
When you've been discarded
You'll be back where you started
But you think you got it made
But it won't get you far
No it won't get you far
You'll be back where you started
Who's going to help ya, throw you a lifeline?
I'll tell you one thing, you've really done it this time
You took your one chance an' let it slip away
You never going to let it settle down
The river's gone now all over the town
You'll be back where you started
I know you won't admit it
But you're brokenhearted
You'll be back where you started
You think it's going to be easy
But it just gets harder
You'll be back where you started
An' you know how it feels
When you've been discarded
You'll be back where you started

It sounds very... Bryan Adams. I think this is official video. Even the half of the album's songs left without a video, were beautiful.
All.the songs on the Break Every Rule album are brilliant
Every single one of them.
