    I appreciate that you showed us step by step how to do this. I'm trying to become a better builder in Valheim, so watching this and getting some ideas is really helpful.
    Only thing I would personally add to this is a hole to throw ore down into. You can collect it when you get to the basement and throw it into the smelters, rather than having to go up and down the stairs.

      I mean there's public servers with people having built lots of impressive stuff on them. You could always join a couple of those to look at impressive stuff... Just don't expect to actually play the progression game there though, it's mostly for creative building and social stuff from what I've seen (since lots of people cheat in items and fly around).

      Also restricted self to “local” materials. The regular 2-meter beams & thatched roofs of Meadows trees.
      Corewood from the Black Forest allows 4-meter beams, but no.
      Exception: need surtling cores from Swamps from Surtling spawners.
      Although I have a chest full from surtling raids and VikingNPC ship raids… still in BF.

    Wonderful design. I loved it so much I built one with normal game mechanics (sorry trees!). Couple of tweaks that suited my playstyle. 1. I don't use Kilns so I put portals to my coal collection points instead. 2. Helped by a slope I put an underground cart garage beneath the extension with a passage through to the smelting chamber. 3. I replaced a couple of smelters with a single blast furnace. Rotated 90 degrees so load ports are to front and delivery to the side. I had slid into making buildings with minimal materials and this design initially appeared extravagant but it is totally worth it. Thank you.

    Love it! Im playing valheim first time without mods and im planning to build a huge house with huge basement as well on my next build now that im in swamp and iron and stone buildables are unlocked. But i wanted to comment that its so satisfying to watch how you made sleketon of the house first and then fill it in. Also how you made the basement is superb. Im gonna copy this idea myself. I always added fermenters in my basement but now watching this i ought to add whole smelting and crafting and mby even storage area in my basement so it wont take much space outside of my house. And im only 4 minutes in and i already love it!

    Note to anyone considering making this build, or any build with a basement- see the uneven jagged dirt walls of the basement pit he has? Thats because there is a "grain" to the world, and he's digging across it rather than with it, if that makes sense. If he's digging along the grain then the sides of the hole will be perfectly smooth. Therefor, if the precise location/orientation of the house isnt dictated by other things, then I suggest doing a small test dig nearby in some place where you can fill it in later. to check what the orientation of the "grain" is, and then adjust the angle of the building project to match that in order to maximize the smoothness of the basement construction.
    Obviously it wasnt an issue for what he built here, but in other basement builds it might be, especially ones with narrower basements or that are doing underground passages so its a good idea to keep it in mind.

      @vetlive3669  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @tonyh8166 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'll send you my bill! :P
      Discovered the issue after I built Zerosters' bronze-tech house and right after finishing it discovered that even though it looked like it had bunches of storage (and it does) it STILL wasnt enough and decided to put in a basement.
      Fortunately , even though I lost some space to the jagged edges I had just enough width left for my expanded needs, but it was close and if the house I was building under was 1 square narrower I wouldnt have.
      His original build-

      My access stairs to the basement are 1m in from the window on your right as you enter the building, for anyone considering building his house and wanted to add a basement.
