thought is moreso on surv design as of late and that is that it is becoming normalized for survs to come out that numerous hunters are 'don't play this against that' type deals if reversed and the survs saw what hunter they were against and the hunter didn't see what survs they're against, would hunters hardcountering most survs be the norm i wonder
@@Evalora It's 1vs4, so it's fair for hunter to see the 4 survivors. Also, "don't play this against that" is for beginner hunter. Every hunter have different strength and weakness. But it doesn't mean you need to choose one hunter compared to other hunter because there's few survivor that will hard to come by. There's many video out there that show how even the "weakest" survivor may win against the strongest hunter. Yet there's also video that show weak hunter win against strong survivor.

Although he has kiting abilities, it still seems like his kit is far more geared towards rescuing a survivor and helping the survivor rebound kite better 🤔 Other than that, the 3 uses of tactical foresight may run out fast haha
Percy useless against him, percy only get immune CC when he use charge attack but Knight can block hit attack, and percy dash useless when he predicted abilities
probably only okay if the undead knows what they're doing, but good enough to stall to where it likely isn't possible for undead to win since he'll take too long to down as 1st/2nd target undead by immediately having access to skills + notably 5+ charges of skills and being transition immune isn't super affected by him
@btb9139 It says in the video the range for foresight is 13 meters... I just rounded up. And I play against Jack all the time, I have literally dodge his foggy at point blank range consistently. Are you only fighting worker bees or something...
My questions Can it stop dream witch from switching? Can it take evil reptilian out of the sky? What happends when a hunter walks out of range while in foresight mode, will the effect linger or dissipate? Can hunters with the skill to hold their abilities be affected by the foresight? Can you rescue a survivor who is inside the goatmans cage from the outside?
@letmesleeponit1595 1. I don't think so, I think it specifies it doesn't work on "switching" abilities 2. Probably only within a certain range, and I think it would only prevent him from jumping again or slamming if he hadn't pressed the button already 3. Probably not, that's too easy of a counter 4. I don't think you can cancel existing abilities, like if you lock Geisha I don't think her butterflies would disappear These are all complete guesses though

With evil reptilian, you can't use the predict when he's already airborne to count towards his first one but if he uses a second jump midair after knight uses predict, it cancels it! Similar to Hunters with skill hold effects e.g. you cannot use ability predict to cancel Bane's hook if he's already holding the ability. But if Bane has yet to hold the hook, you predict he uses it and he does, it cancels. The hunter walking 'out of range' while in foresight mode doesn't affect it. The range only affects when you can use it and doesn't affect after. As for Goatman's cage, it counts as a solid wall from the outside, hence Knight cannot rescue through it, only inside it. Same with Mad Eyes walls.

Even then, his 0.5 dmg can be negated with Knight’s stalemate prediction. Knight can prevent Goatman from putting down the wall in the first place. In fact, Hunters that can counter Knight are actually Joseph, Mad Eyes, Dream Witch and Fools Gold Knight’s ability predict only counts Joseph’s jumpcard when he releases it. He can hold down the card and cancel the card but so long as he doesn’t release it, the skill seal does not take effect. The ability predict also doesn’t affect Joseph’s cameras. Galatea can also use statues from afar on a cipher so she’s fairly decent. Knight can dodge statues like any survivor though and seal Galatea’s abilities if he thinks she’ll put a statue in a crucial undodgeable spot Breaking Wheel is kinda situational since getting hit by the wheel form doesn’t count as an ability but snap, throwing out spikes and throwing trap count as ability. Alva can also be a decent counter since Knight would be too far for his shield to work if he gets damage via shared damage but not recommended for straight chase. TL;DR, any Hunter that can deal damage from a distance/another world, jumpscare, or deal extra damage on normal attack or chip damage outside of normal attack (excluding Bane but that’s a diff story) Imo, Joseph and Mad Eyes hard counter him. DW second. FG and Galatea third. Other straight chase Hunters are decently countered by Knight. Sangria and Ivy are a bit more countered by Knight since the darting from shadow to shadow and yith summoning count as ability, leaving their normal attack to be blocked by attack predict. Goatman and Undead (can be stunned or silenced above 50 energy) is hard countered by Knight Geisha and NW have decent mindgaming potential despite all their abilities being able to be cancelled.

People were already crying saying Knight is too op but with his skill being limited to only 3 when it can be very easily baited out by most good hunters it's not going to be good for most situations. Merc would remain as the best rescuer. Knight can kinda support I guess and sometimes it can be a game changer late game. For a early game support it's not very good, we have way better supporters for early game and their skills don't rely on predictions lol. While he has the ability to support better than the 3 most used main rescuers Merc>GK>FO who can only bodyblock (they can ofc tank detention hits with merc doing it just with his passive), his skills are weaker than theirs in my opinion for a main rescuer at least (he's a main rescuer no sub class unless they change it later). Maybe better than FO because Knight can at least make sure hunter can't hit or use a skill on him until he gets to chair while FO need to mindgame. Being better than FO isn't that big of a deal tbh lol. The only really good thing about him is the fact that he can do a second rescue without tide and the rescued survivor would have a chance to rebound but that said FO has his own nice thing about him, he can rescue even at half health as long as he has a pocket watch and he doesn't get found super early. Both those things are situational tho and not always useful, both can be good depending on the situation. He can be good but yeah not a meta changing unit like people kept saying right after seeing the trailer. He'd probably be a better alternative to FO but Merc would remain the best rescuer with GK coming second. And honestly Weepy gets way more value with his rockets for having the same amount of decoding debuff as him (just saying). Don't mind the last line but it's true that it's more consistent compared to Knight's support I mean Knight is a main rescuer so it makes sense while Weepy is kiter and support if I remember correctly? Anyways that was kinda out of topic. I think people probably wont even use Knight as a main rescuer and make him join yk forward, coord rescuer category aka kiter/support rescuer who don't always run tide.
Imo he could be a good back up rescuer. His shield doesn't activate if you directly save from chair so unlike tide-turner, you can save it for a later more critical moment such as when cipher is nearly primed but chair time is almost up or a post detention rescue. You are correct on him being more geared towards endgame than early game + kiter/support rescuer. He's not the best rescuer but I'd say he's equal with FO and just being a *bit* better since he has the ability to support for a rebound kite without the need to bodyblock immediately unlike most other rescuers. He's his own little niche that I think is alright in the current meta
that guy seems like a fancy version of puppeteer... if you dont want to get stunned, just walk till his prediction is over then hit him. and even if he uses stalemate every time, theres still a window where he has no shield and no skill where you can hit him. and he can only use his skill 3 times in total. he is very heavily depending on raw kiting skills and pathing, and on intelligence and gamesense. from both hunter and surv. meaning he is very useless in na/eu lol hes kinda like edgar. pretty niche but mostly useless. his rescue ability seems op against hermit and flying geisha tho. and maybe dw and bonbon and leo depending on placement. at least thats how i see him, because i know very well that guy will hard throw my ranked games, based on the randoms im getting.
How would he work against dw? As far as I understand, Richard gets protection as a chip damage if his prediction is wrong. Wouldn't he be able to predict dw abilites, even though she doesn't them, and receive chip damage instead of a full hit? If so, I think it's kind of stupid. Since dw is a 'switching' Hunter, Knight's prediction does not affect when she switches between leeches and main body. However, it should affect if dw tries to leech onto a survivor. You can tell when dw's main body is nearby with the alert in the top left of your screen after all. Also, Knight doesn't get protection if his prediction is wrong! In fact, he loses and gains nothing when predicting wrong. The shield only happens if after the initial guess, your second guess is a stalemate and the hunter does either nothing the entire time, or gets a correct guess which stuns them long enough to cause them to do nothing afterwards for the period of time stalemate lasts. TL;DR, you can stop leeching from happening if using ability predict and prevent surprise attacks from spawn follower if using attack predict depending on the scenario at hand.
Embalmer has this situation where if cowboy lasso rescues from a chair he wont gain an extra coffin, ans Im wondering if its the same with Knight's rescue

Bq will be able to counter him easily and any hunter that with long range and doesn’t mind distance. Eg bane can hook out of range and I don’t think knight can use his skill fast enough to block the hit. Same with Ann cats and immediate jump
You can actually ability predict Mary's mirror haha And it is technically possible for Knight to predict Bane's attack after getting hooked but it's a very small amount of time frame so you have to time it right Also Knight does actually cancel cats! Sending out cats, splitting cats, using cross and Ann jumping all count as ability so I'd say he's a pretty good counter. He doesn't have to always use ability predict, he can instead choose attack predict since Ann is still within tactical foresight range if she's able to jump towards you and stun you
I think the reason why Prof is so weak (especially his main power) is because most of his "power budget" (in quotes cause it's not even that reliable) is in his ability to drop scales for survs if he didn't have that, his main ability would be balanced better but yeah...
@@chokeolatte I’m more concerned about his cooldowns dropping a scale takes the same amount of time as blinks cooldown and if you miss scale hardening you have to wait 45 seconds he has more risk than rewards
opera's probably one of the best hunters against him as she isn't significantly hampered by a stun or silence that's frankly much shorter than her own shadow miss cooldown i think you might have it backwards in that a hunter's only as easy to predict as the player is when they constantly have options on both attack/ability, jack for example has *no ability*
I think it's only like geisha, photographer, nightmare (especially), bane, nightwatch (partly), feaster, blood queen, spider, ripper, hell ember, wax artist (partly), sculptor (partly) and apostle (partly) are the only hunters that would be affected by him, the rest like ivy and naiad seem like hard counters because of their passive traits, not needing to be activated.

You're probably over thinking it You can just combine every use of your ability with stale mate so that you always have a fail safety I don't know if combining with stalemate consumes more item or not But if it doesn't, it means u can use 3 uses + stale mate each time for fail safe
I predict he's gonna suffer from the Journalist syndrome where he's chased first because his contain seems genuinely worse than hers IMO both his contain and rescue are less reliable than Journalist's since he can also get terror shocked while using his rescue ability but I can see him being really good in low ranks where hunters aren't as skilled
bad surv, turning off camp hunter abilities at chair isn't good enough in this era -a surv player (albeit interpreted sarcastically on evalora's part) more seriously it is odd how much of dbd is in this surv, everything from borrowed time (absorb a hit on a surv you rescue) to the weapon inspection

As a Ripper main, I’m curious on how that would work…
Bq will be able to counter him easily and any hunter that with long range and doesn’t mind distance. Eg bane can hook out of range and I don’t think knight can use his skill fast enough to block the hit. Same with Ann cats and immediate jump
You can actually ability predict Mary's mirror haha
And it is technically possible for Knight to predict Bane's attack after getting hooked but it's a very small amount of time frame so you have to time it right
Also Knight does actually cancel cats! Sending out cats, splitting cats, using cross and Ann jumping all count as ability so I'd say he's a pretty good counter. He doesn't have to always use ability predict, he can instead choose attack predict since Ann is still within tactical foresight range if she's able to jump towards you and stun you
They just keep releasing better versions of prof but won’t do anything for him
I think the reason why Prof is so weak (especially his main power) is because most of his "power budget" (in quotes cause it's not even that reliable) is in his ability to drop scales for survs
if he didn't have that, his main ability would be balanced better but yeah...
@@chokeolatte I’m more concerned about his cooldowns dropping a scale takes the same amount of time as blinks cooldown and if you miss scale hardening you have to wait 45 seconds he has more risk than rewards

He is gonna change the meta. Opera and bon bon mains are in fear since they’re so predictable.
opera's probably one of the best hunters against him as she isn't significantly hampered by a stun or silence that's frankly much shorter than her own shadow miss cooldown
i think you might have it backwards in that a hunter's only as easy to predict as the player is when they constantly have options on both attack/ability, jack for example has *no ability*
I think it's only like geisha, photographer, nightmare (especially), bane, nightwatch (partly), feaster, blood queen, spider, ripper, hell ember, wax artist (partly), sculptor (partly) and apostle (partly) are the only hunters that would be affected by him, the rest like ivy and naiad seem like hard counters because of their passive traits, not needing to be activated.

You can just combine every use of your ability with stale mate so that you always have a fail safety
I don't know if combining with stalemate consumes more item or not
But if it doesn't, it means u can use 3 uses + stale mate each time for fail safe

How? Feels very gimmicky. Most of his things are situational and very likely to fail anyway.
He's a gambling type character. That usually never goes well unless you're lucky and predict correctly most of the time.
I predict he's gonna suffer from the Journalist syndrome where he's chased first because his contain seems genuinely worse than hers
IMO both his contain and rescue are less reliable than Journalist's since he can also get terror shocked while using his rescue ability but I can see him being really good in low ranks where hunters aren't as skilled
bad surv, turning off camp hunter abilities at chair isn't good enough in this era -a surv player (albeit interpreted sarcastically on evalora's part)
more seriously it is odd how much of dbd is in this surv, everything from borrowed time (absorb a hit on a surv you rescue) to the weapon inspection
DBD and IDV is literally both developed by NetEase for different type of player segment. Can't blame if they inspired to eachother.

U can predict twice per each activation. There is at max 3 times u can use this!

It kind of reminds me of acrobat's balls where each one has a different use and you only have a limited amount of them (except for the part where he can gain some of them). I wonder how this will effect his strength since his skills are limited?
