To be honest, I practice playing the piano when I lose my Father this March 2020, I wasn't able to see him at his last moment since, I am working overseas and I am not allowed to go home due to the current pandemic around the world. Simplified piano's tutorials really encourage me that I can do this. That I can play the piano even though I didn't have any musical background.
I practice this song to offer as my gift for my parents on there 30th Wedding Anniversary last April 2020. I know in my heart, that my Father is so proud of me while im playing this song.
And I'm so grateful to this channel because I made my Mother smile again after watching my first even piano.
I'm not a singer and pianist, I'm just doing this to overcome grief and hoping that I can still make my Father smile up there in heaven.

my mother sent me to a music conservatory to no avail...tried learning from my dance teacher's mother, thoroughly enjoyed it, however it was cut short as we moved from winnipeg to montreal...my interest has always been there but could not find someone to teach so i could understand...then i somehow got to you, a true blessing indeed...i finally found someone who explained both right hand and left hand with sheer simplicity...excitement and enjoyment. I'm 62 and just started learning the piano 3 months ago. I have been feeling like I am not learning fast enough, but I am finding out its a slow process. For some reason I am really good at the triads though. This tutorial gives me the opportunity to actually play a song with ease. It has inspired me to keep going! I been playing the piano for 3 years now, often at work with my patients, we sing together and I play the accompaniment on the piano. Thanks to your video, I understood very well how to play the chords. no other video explained it so well to me. i also wanted to ask that is this version made specifically in the key of C?....is the original key different? if yes can you make a tutorial for this song in the original key?
You're very welcome! I typically teach most of my songs in the Key of C since that's the easiest way to learn to play the piano. I'm not sure what the original key is in, sorry!
i could be wrong i believe the original key is B from when i learnt this on guitar. i play it in C on the piano it's kind of strange switching keys and instruments but i'm used to it. you can play whatever key you want if you know the music theory just make the chords the equivalent of the key you want.
