I watched both videos and voted for you 👍 To me it seemed like he just kinda threw it together and didn’t put too much thought into the enclosure, it was basically like all his other ones. You on the other hand, put a lot of thought into the enclosure and you seemed to put a lot more passion into it. Your enclosure is really very beautiful! I even love that you choose a tarantula that was really special to you, that made the build even more stunning 😍

Funny... several months ago I made a custom background for a friend's Avi-Avi that was extremely similar to yours here. Really is a great idea... leaving lotsa room left in the tank for extras with such a slim profile.

I love how you guys made a challenge between each other, it was fun watching you both! I think folks don't realize you've upped your enclosure game. A couple of the right minis make it stand out. I personally like to put those little Japanese blind box toys in mine sometimes, but I still mostly do naturalistic.
My Chaco Golden Knee is currently in "Malificent's Forest", it has little Malificent and dragon figures, a nice central tree of spider wood, some leaves, moss, and crystals, and a cork bark cave that he happily spends his time in.
I didn't know you'd been invited to the Snake Discovery build off! I loved the enclosure that Richard made there this year, but it would be really cool to see you at next year's. This mushroom enclosure is so cute and magical, but I gotta go see what Richard did now so I can vote!
That's awesome! I love that theme--it's unusual and still looks healthy for your little guy and of course super cool.
My only gripe with reptisoil is how hydrophobic it is when it dries, and when you try to rehydrate it, it just makes a big muddy mess
This enclosure is gorgeous and now I want all of mine to have this energy lol. I love the T. apophysis but a P. solaris, X. immanis, P. machala, or P. nigricolor would look so good in here! The bright pinkey orange of the solaris or the deep purples of the others would fit the theme so well!

I have watched both you and Richard for quite some time now and I love you both. You both give me so many ideas and tricks around situations, you are both an inspiration to me. I know that this is just a little bit of fun, and it's an absolute blast to watch you both, but I do think you have snatched this one from Richard lol. And you are right, yours does look like a fairy tale, I love it!! It's just an absolute pity that the T. apophysis does not care as much as we do for what it looks like lol 🤣

Good luck I hope you win, I voted for you. Richard just seems to put far too much substrate in and basically just hid the cork bark, you however spent time on yours adding the moss into the cracks which made it look so beautifully natural.

You really brought your A game when challenged! Richard makes awesome enclosures, but he kind of phoned it in this time. You sealed the deal by wetting down the substrate and filling the water dish *before* the rehousing! - something he did not do
Watched both and both great enclosures for a couple of spicey spiders. But this one just felt epic and lovely...and something I want to do for my C. versi when it gets bigger. You got my vote

You and Richard have 2 completely different styles, so there is no comparison. You are both winners to me. You have inspired my way of decorating enclosures. I love the natural look you usually go for. You always have nice pieces of unique wood, be it cholla or cork. And you always throw in cute crystals... I actually can't believe you made this fairy garden type enclosure and did add any CRYSTALS!! And speaking of Petsmart Thrive brand green moss, have you seen the green moss vines? You have to get some for jumper/arboreal sling enclosures bc its awesome! You can cut it into whatever size you want and bend it into a spiral or loop for jumpers to climb on. Look for it next time you go to Petsmart.

This gives me some ideas 🤔. It is getting close to Halloween and I do love my dark, horror, gothy thingies! Perhaps alottle haunted house, some skulls, and things. The way my bottle blue webs up her enclosure would make it look amazzzzzing

I always try to make cute little enclosures like this with rocks and bark from my yard and beaches cuz I can’t afford to buy decorations and hides. (always disinfected before using) and no matter how pretty I think mine are you make me realize I gotta step my game up.
