Also, I've started designing Castle 2.0 in sketch-up. I'm gonna try to make it printable so you only have to trace it over and build it. Either wood or cardboard.

I wanted to call them parapets but all I get when I Google that word are pictures of railings…
@@Timbobjr lol, we're kinda both right apparently. The parapet is the wall across the top of the structure and crenellations are the pattern. Sorry for being technical.

Apologies for a comment on an old video, and this may have been answered several times over but I only read through the first 50 comments or so! The block structures at the top of castle walls are called "turrets." A turret allowed defenders to shoot arrows or dump stuff on intruders.
RIP little buddy. I hope my longhair Syrian, Sasquatch, and Cappuccino are having a great time in the afterlife, nothing but digging and seeds and sleeping in cozy places forever. They really squiggle right into the heart with their fuzzy cuteness, don't they?

Cappuccino is the luckiest man alive. He has achieved the childhood dream of many: have a pool, have an amusement park in the backyard, have a castle with a watchtower, lots of toys... Man, he only needs a harem to get the ultimate lifestyle. I hope I get this lucky when I grow up (probably won't be the case though).

Must be derived from a Norman French word added to the language after the 1066 Norman Conquest, a good time for castle building.
Will Cappuccino will be able to climb that slippery cardboard ramp? You might roughen it a bit to help his traction. (Update: I finally watched to the end of the video and saw how you fixed this.)

Petko? They are called "Turrets". (The top of the castle) soldiers would hide behind them in between firing arrows.

No, but he did build one of them too. Turrets are towers that are used to contain armed guards, the continuation of the wall onto the roof is called the parapet and has multiple uses. They provided protection for soldiers but there primary use was to keep people from falling over the side. They also help inhibit fires.
