Hey Chris, thanks for sharing the video. I’m interested in the Ryvid as my 3rd motorcycle. I a huge fan of the dragon, riding it would be a must for any bike. Did you ride both directions? If so, how much range did you have at the end? Also did you feel like you had enough power? Thanks
I went up and down, used about 40% of battery up, and 20% down. power wise, I couldn't find a bike that could get away from me. The power response is so much faster than even sport bikes. You actually have to be even more careful since no shifting or engine response to make you realize your speed. There is a free charger at the top, that I did use while eating lunch, and this time I hauled it to the bottom on my Grand Cherokee. I am planning a ride when my brother gets his bike that will leave from Oak Ridge TN, to the dragon, then day two is down Cherohala and back home.
nice video. you get a thumbs down for the EV bike. I live about 3 and half hours away, by the time I ride there the batteries would need recharging. then i would have to recharge before I could ride it home.. I'll pass. my GSX-S1000 GT Plus can make it there on under 3/4 of a tank of gas.I fill up in Vonore, five minutes and I'm back on the road. I ride the Dragon up hill and back down. Ride almost all the way back on the same tank of fuel. fill up close to home,,,, another five minutes or so at the pump,,,DONE DEAL. SCREW the POWER WHEELS,, get a real BIKE. but still was a good video of the Dragon.
Iv had multiple bikes. This is a commuter bike, I had my streetglide and realized I personally hate riding more than an hour at a time, so why have a bike that does more than that? I commute on $1 a week of electricity. This trip on the dragon use $0.21 up and $0.10 down in electricity. I carry this on a hitch rack when I travel further since I have a fifth wheel that I travel with my family all over the US. So for this Dragon trip I just carried it to the bottom and rode from there.
@@chrisstinson2536 This will be my fourth bike. I ride an R1, Zx6r, and a CBR 600RR. The ryvid will be a great commuter and I run my lab with mostly solar power. I am excited to charge my bike daily with solar.
What a beautiful ride. I cant wait to get mine as it's currently being built.
