yeah, even though his videos depress the F out of me sometimes, not because they are bad... but seriously go back 11 years and watch his sims videos from then. No matter how much things change; The Sims stay eerily 😖the same.
@@meetdamaka Most people who have bought this pack aren't satisfied with it, which is perfectly acceptable. The Sims team seemed very lazy with certain things in this pack.

Thank you for your work. I know that a lot of people don't appreciate the work that you are doing, but please know that you are a valuable part of the school. Thank you once again for the hard work that you are doing. May safety and peace be upon you, my friend.
That's not fair do you have any idea how hard it is to pick on somebody using simlish? Not to mention every time you try to pass around naked pictures of your ex they're pixelated. You'd be happy in that world too. What a horrible place.
it's nostalgic to see clint put all the new chairs in a row in the review it's a great and easy to understand demonstration of the developer's lack of focus on what matters and their focus on what doesn't matter, they either forgot this is a simulation game that at its core should offer extreme Replayability and Unpredictable gameplay, or they're just bad at it.
They really should have had a clique system, anyone that's ever been to highschool knows that all the kids don't just hangout together. They had all the clothes needed for Jocks, Nerds, Preps, and Punks but they didn't make it tangible. It's just so shallow like most Sims packs.
I dunno... I'm twice the age of high schoolers, but I've been hearing they get along better than we used to...? Although, the bullying has switched from in schools to online apparently. Nerds are obviously much cooler than we used to be, but these are just rumors I hear online and they probably would think I'm actually a boomer.
@@NickaLah I’m one of the oldest gen Zs, in my lifetime it definitely shifted more from physical to psychological bullying. Nerds being cooler is very subjective. The nerd AESTHETIC became cool for sure. But most of those people coopted nerd culture without actually getting into any of it. People would consistently tell me things about D&D that were actively untrue, having never played it themselves but seen that TTRPGs are apparently cool now...
@@NickaLah I am a teenager who literally just left high school (I’m 18) and you’re not exactly wrong. There’s not really a “cool/popular group” anymore. And there aren’t really “cliques” per say but rather groups of genuine friends. So having cliques would technically be less realistic for us gen z kids tbf. Even the “stereotypically cool” football players and cheerleaders hang around “smart/nerdy kids” and some are genuine friends. The closest thing we have to cliques are the quiet/anti-social kids who have 1-2 friends and the louder/outgoing kids who have a bunch of friends.
@@NO-kc4xb im a young millenial. I think the youngest considered millenial now - late 20s? An idk maybe its because im from the uk but i felt like cliques were never really a thing. But I had never ever heard of a school when I was young where there were actual "cliques" with like "jocks" and "nerds" etc. in some weird mean girls style clique system. Again idk if its being brainwashed by american culture but I was expecting when i went to high school for it to be like a teen film or disney channel show lmao. Like I thought the pretty/popular girls were gona be bitchy/dumb when in actuality the prettiest most popular girls in my school were really kind nice people who were in top sets in their classes as they were clever. An there were no jocks? maybe people were friends with people who they were in the same sports club as them but I mean, nobody would even know who was on which sports team really. An "Nerds" again. Sure there were people who didn't have a lot of friends. But it definitely didn't have any relation to intelligence? There was no nerdy/intelligent=uncool. Infact like i said most the most liked/most friends people were intelligent? Idk again maybe Americas a whole different world and yall really are living like Mean Girls or something because ive never met a person whos ever said their high school experience was like that. People seem to always think "oh it used to be like that, before my time" but again I have asked older people an they also say it was never like that lmao. Maybe some americans can clear up whether your school was like a disney channel high school?
My two complaints about this pack: 1. No option to have uniforms. Even though I didn’t have uniforms growing up, I still really want to give my students uniforms because I think they look so cute 2. Only one school location. I get that this is probably due to the # of available students in the sims world, but I wish we’d at least get to pick one location to have a school.
I really love the build and buy and CAS for this pack though. As somebody who doesn’t use CC, it added a lot of options that I had been wanting to have in my game. I also really love the world
It's weird cause I think there is a uniform system. All the randomly generated teen sims in my high school were wearing the same polo shirt, khaki pants outfit. It might've been a bug though
As a Gen Z myself, a lot of this pack feels very "hello fellow kids." I will say that it looks very aesthetically pleasing though, especially the town and the idea of the funfair is very cool. I hate the t-posing. The t-posing makes me want to burn everything EA I've ever bought.

i was lucky enough to have a friend w most of the packs who let me try out sims 4 a couple years ago. sometimes i look at sims 4, and its pretty items and style and wish to play... but then i remember i'd have to cough up 280$ for the expansion packs i'd like ALONE and suddenly i'm alright without it.
I actually quit the entire franchise because of The Sims 4 well that and my laptop broke down but when I did get a new one I decided to simply never return. Six years later I still never played The Sims again. I considered making a return with this but as usual there are disappointments and the steam reviews being only 37% positive as of the comment says do not do it.
It's amazing that there isn't really a direct competitor to The Sims that's actually good. Aren't even that many knockoffs, that I'm aware of. The Paralives game looks like it has a lot of potential, though they're taking their time with development (it has been in development for years, and it looks like it'll be some time before it gets released still).
The sims being an absolute monster of a game sucks when there's no competition because not many companies can or want to put in a lot of time and money to make something comparable
@dd EA hasn't been 'trusted' in years. It's well known in the gaming community at least that they're one of the crappier gaming companies out there. Some people don't care, some of course don't know, but a lot of people buy their stuff because they have some exclusive IPs and such. It's not unreasonable to be dubious of indie/crowdfund games, especially if they haven't proven themselves yet. A lot of projects have burned people (I myself have backed/crowdfunded games that either went nowhere, or released mediocre/unfinished products). That's one of the things established publishers and studios generally do better. Not that big companies haven't abandoned games right after release, leaving them in a buggy state.
no fr my high school has never had windows because it was used as a hurricane shelter, they're just now redoing the school and were getting windows now lmao

Never realized just how much I needed to see Clint to line up chairs in a row. I'm glad we finally got another expansion pack just so we could get a new LGR Sims review.
As a high school janitor, I can confirm the look of the school is far too clean looking lol. The desks that look worn out would be just about all of them, the floor tiles would be cracked in various places, and stuff like lockers and walls would be scratched to heck from scrubbing profanity off them so much lol. Kids roaming around the halls and doing whatever after school, though...that is weirdly accurate to some extent. We have to kick them out because a lot of them will go into the bathrooms and vandalize them, which only hurts us custodians.
As a fellow school janitor, I demolished Coppertown High immediately, and built my own HS based on how schools actually look and are setup (in the US anyway). I ended up with basically a prison like building in the end. Lol
Welcome back LGR. I seen this expansion in the store and being Canadian with tax this comes to over $60.00. The price alone makes this a hard pass for me. I will never pay the price of a full game for a expansion pack.
The sims 4 is the kind of game I’ll come back to once a year, mess around for a week, say “this sucks” then play again the next year. I miss when the series had a bit more gameplay and wasn’t just a dollhouse. It’s too… safe. Nothing bad happens if you don’t want it to. Everything is opt in, you don’t don’t ever have to react to something the game throws at you, outside the odd cooking fire. Maybe sims 5 will be different, but I’d bet it’ll be more of the same. I can only hope they’ll improve mod support so players that are unsatisfied can make the game they want to play.
Yeah I miss the cutscenes from TS2, or at least those big milestones like the huge concert in the sims 3 showtime. The game is so boring at the moment. Need more spontaneity. I want to be able to cheat to stop something from happening, not have to mod the game to get interesting or even just useful gameplay. I’d rather use mccc to disable robberies and other crazy things than to just not have them Idk I’m so bored of this game, I’ve only wanted to play recently because of the new build/buy and cas, and to use more cc of those too.
its actually worse as a dollhouse for me too. sims 3 i could cheat just about everything to get my perfect stories set up. sims 4 requires so much jumping through hoops to get items traits etc unlocked. they really made it for builders + content creators i think. the only good part of sims 4 are the building tools imo
I feel like The Sims 4 is an rpg, not a life sim as they used to be in earlier installations. If I want to play an rpg, I'm not going to choose The Sims. There is no emotional impact involved. I have no interest in The Sims 4 beyond house building. If I want a life sim, I play 3. I've given up hope with EA and The Sims, but maybe possibly someday they will finally release Paralives and this itch will finally be scratched.
Why "gamers" still don't understand how businesses work... They are clearly making money, nothing's is going to change, hoping for change is just stupid, you want change? Don't buy the game, that WILL send a message.
@@LyricsFred Not that I disagree, but when people stop buying, EA will say "people just don't like single-player life sims anymore" and stop making them altogether. And that's their loss.
This isn't traumatizing enough to fully represent the American school experience. I wish they took a more "80s approach" complete with cliques and bullies and latch key kids, and all the trauma that came with that lol
yeah they outsourced all the trauma to online trolls, now you just have to film someone acting "cringe" or whatever and let everyone else do the bullying for you

We haven't seen gameplay. They've showed us build mode and design mode but that says nothing about taking care of sim needs. However I doubt the sims 5 will be better than them. I mean.... it might be an online game that's even worse than sims 4.
@@JuniperDev if Paralives doesn't use Unreal 5, then there is no options to beat the sims 5. (Paralives still use Unity). Better cancel the developer, then start the game like Paralives but in Unreal 5. Wait, what if "I make Paralives, but RTX is ON"?
Hasn't sims 4 been out almost 10 years now? Man i miss the new games every few years like when i was growing up, i swear sims 3 had a expansion that was awesome every few months.
For real. People used to make fun of things like assassins creed and cod for having yearly releases when I was a kid, but I miss having fun games actually come out to be excited for. How longs it been since the last elder scrolls? Gta? Sims? Etc etc. All the big franchises just picked one cash cow and stopped.
The Sims was how I discovered LGR so it's always nice to see him go back to it. Just curious how much it would cost for him to do an Ignorant Review of Journey to Batuu? EDIT: I forget it's "Ignorant" not "Cynical", but you get it, Clint.
Apparently, the gamer chair is bonus content so you can only get it if you buy the pack before Sept 9 (?). I really just want the bonus content, the gameplay itself seems really glitchy.
Prom being every week is probably for those people who play on short life spans, so you can experience everything. You can go to graduation after aging up, it's usually the next Sunday after, at least it let me do it. My sim aged up in the middle of class, but it gave me a prompt saying graduation was in a few days.
See, I thought that too. Except, they changed the length of the Normal lifespan for teens from 13 days to 21 days, but didn't change the length for teens on Short lifespans at all (it's still 7 days). So depending on how you time it, you would still just have one prom on Short lifespan, but now three on Normal (instead of 1-2) and seven on Long 😂 And the lifespan changes were just in the base game update - no HSY required. I don't get it.
@@countrye3013 Except you have to have Seasons to make prom a holiday. And you can't make events a general thing for everyone to attend. So I guess this was the best they could do. 🤷♀

@@lourencovieira5424 basically because it was built on the wreckage of a scrapped multiplayer sims game and ea doesn’t have the motivation to properly fight against it because it still sells
@@lourencovieira5424 The core gameplay is so bare bones that I don't think there's any saving it with DLC. It's like adding topping after topping when the base and tomato sauce of your pizza are 8 months overdated.

Also the T posing challenge feels like a slap in the face if they are NEVER going to fix the bug in the get to work hospital where the Drs ALWAYS T Pose when you do anything there involving the surgery table...
2:31 But LGRRRRR, cars would be so hard to implement! I mean, I'm pretty sure the hardest thing would be adding a driveway in this game where you can quite literally move entire houses for the first time in The Sims' entire history to fix things if you need to add a driveway object like in Certain Other Sims Games, but-there's no point! It's not open world! [kicks TS2 under a rug]
Super weird you can't just zone a lot to be a school.. I guess it is what it is. Didn't really expect to be able to drive in this game still but you're not wrong there, would have been a perfect time to add it! Oh well I guess.
@@heyimmagenta7310 Do it Sims 2 style. Technically you could walk anywhere, but driving had a few benefits, and there was stuff you could do with cars such as romantic or conversing interactions, listening to the radio, it getting stolen, etc. Of course the biggest benefit is not having to rely on the carpool, and thus be able to arrive to work late as opposed to not showing up at all if you miss it, and if they added cars, I'd hope they'd also add the carpool.
@@queenthndurd929 Exactly, it can function like it did in Sims 2. You don't need an open world for cars and other types of transportation to function in the game. Where are the boats to go fishing in? Small tractors for Henford Bagley or dune buggies for Sulani? Motorcycles or even mopeds? Smaller vehicles for toddlers or kids to drive around in besides bicycles. Besides, there's other things to do with vehicles besides driving. The Sims could build, repair, restore or sell cars as an interactive career as a mechanic or salesman with a dealership. Vehicles can also add new aspirations or traits like car collector or vehicle enthusiast. It would also be great to give cars as gifts or repair and/or sell online to make extra money. Plus, with cars, we could FINALLY bring back burglars to the game and have functional garages and carports.
Exactly D: We already have routing for things such as bikes & boats. If an old non-open world game like TS2 could manage it, then I don't see why TS4 can't. Maybe they fear that it'll break the game, but hey the game is already breaking, so 😅
I really liked this feature in sims 2! I would download CC cars and drive my dream cars in the game! I loved sims 2 sooo much! Now I am on to sims 4 watching my sims run halfway home and then a loading screen :D

It was nice to actually have a review of this pack. The other Sim's reviewers were so busy complaining about the bugs that I wasn't able to get a good idea of what the pack actually has. Was not expecting LGR review either. Super refreshing.
Maybe if there were less bugs they could've reviewed the pack 🤷🏾♀️ I mean I'd be upset and more focused on the sims I've spent a lot of times developing stories and personalities if they were randomly aging up to death or getting into romantic relationships with family too, because I had the audacity to spend $40 to add some new gameplay And YMMV of course. I lucked out and it took a few years for Dine Out to bug out, but for some ppl, it was immediate. Same with this pack. So the main issue is... Why? YMMV shouldn't happen on a brand new pack after 8ish years, it's unacceptable. If you wanted an overview, there are plenty of reviews that do just that. LGR also took off a year so there's no time and investment at risk. So while this is useful to me, so are the ones that have more critique, since they are actively playing the game
@@LG_Hakubi the bugs they're complaining about are about the free update. That's the aging up bug and the incest bug. They haven't talked about the expansion pack in depth like LGR has. Also a lot of them are hyperbolic and dramatic so they can get more views on TH-cam. I myself have not dealt with many of the bugs they ever complain about, and I'm not interested in holding EA or The Sims team to their standards.
@@zaksilva-sampaio7876 a lot of simmers thought the T-pose was a bug. I play on console and I can’t play my game anymore because the aging glitch happened. And they only fixed it for new save files so my entire save file I’ve had for idk how long is now ruined. Idk why they keep saying it happened after exiting CAS since I never went into CAS, didn’t have to when my sims were already made and I’ve been playing them forever. I don’t think it’s overdramatized for more views, it’s raw and honest rage. The pack itself is just not what it could’ve been and falls flat yet again and I didn’t need LGRs review to figure that out although his review was extremely well and appreciated how in-depth he went into the gameplay. It’s still boring looking compared to the school mod that’s been out for years now which 1 person made and did a much better job (since I can only play on console now I have to miss out on all the greats mods but it was a chore to get them all back into the game since EA releases garbage stuff so often).
@@MagnumPatrol I get it, that sucks. I had saves that crashed in the past, they were all my fault though. I agree the mod is better than what the pack seems. I'm still at the point where I'm trying to decide if I want to buy it or not. And I was looking for somebody to review it without the drama. I understand the updates come with bugs, that's why I backup my saves, stay away from the game for a couple of weeks while the updates are happening, and just not get to attached to my saves in the first place. It really sucks when that happens, but that's how dealing with computers are. And to expect that we're going to have a bug-free update is fantasy.
I just screamed when this video appear on my home screen!!! I swear less than 10 mins ago I was watching a sims review and I thought to myself, I really miss LGR's sims reviews, I know he will be honest and shows us ALL the chairs!!! Then this video appeared!
I completely understand your reason from ending your reviews. I was so confused when I stopped seeing them but I had eventually figured you grew tired of it. I’m glad you’re willing to review the big ones still. Yours and Plumbella’s reviews are the only ones I enjoy watching.
I get the impression the pack is going for the kind of high school life seen on shows like Saved by the Bell and the like given how much of the game feels influenced by sitcoms and other tv shows. There's no way to capture the breadth of experiences of high school but the kinds of shows about it we saw as children and teens are familiar to us all
There was a similar idea with the University expansion for TS2 as well; imitating the pop culture perception of colleges more than real life college life. Which admittedly does fit with the "American Television Culture" motif The Sims has.
a modder named lazy duchess made a patch to make the sims 3 run sooo much better along with NRaas mods.. to me and other simmers the game runs better with these but i wouldn’t know since my pc can run the sims 3 pretty well :,) i did notice a performance boost though but anyone interested should check it out there’s many other options to help optimize and run the game better too :D
I want a Sims game with Sims 3's open (and customizable) world and expansion pack style, but with all the building and CAS features and optimization of Sims 4. Also using Sims 4 artstyle because I genuinely prefer it over 3's
After a while all the Sims in the SIms 4 kind of merge together into unidentifiable samey mush. The same faces, the same poses, and the same emotions. Also the Teens having identical (Young) Adult bodies is still just really weird (and tbh very very lazy on the part of EA). I imagine the frequency of Prom is due to the lifespan of teens, so they have a chance to attend a prom before they grow up.
Thank you for the review! I'm so sad the fair is made of rabbit hole locations, because seeing my Sims on a ferris wheel or carnival ride is something I've been looking forward to forever. I like how you described school as being a hangout spot for teens, it's a good way to manage expectations if I get this pack :)
I know you've stopped reviewing anything that's not an Expansion Pack, but I'd LOVE an LGR review for Werewolves. I genuinely think it's their best occult pack so far. Granted, I don't own Batuu or StrangerVille so idk if either of them even hold a candle to Werewolves, but I think you might like it. :)
I will say from owning Strangerville, the 'occult' isnt playable for everyday gameplay. Possessed sims cant do anything when possessed, and the only special thing is that they have different moods. The Mother is just a boss that has no purpose outside of the storyline. Really its only a pack I would reccomend on sale if u like the world, build mode, and cas. I only bought it for the world and I dont regret it, but it is quite annoying to start a new save and have to deal with possession, solve the mystery, or play in a completely different world.
He probably doesn't want to. At the end of the day his opinion might just be exactly like Vampire's, which is why he isnt doing them, he's tired of repeating himself lol. Like all packs outside of one or 2 DLC Packs the gameplay is very subjective so Werewolves falls in line with "get on sale if you like it cause there's not much reason to pay full price otherwise" even if it's just an upgraded Vampires it doesn't go beyond that. It really means that the old packs need to be updated but...lol.
@@toebeexyz They're dumbing it down and making it generic and "safe," hardly fun and appealing as to why the Sims became so beloved and interesting to begin with

Lol, I didn't know high schools in the US looking like prisons was a wider spread thing. My first year of HS was at a newly constructed school that definitely looked like a prison. There was even a clock tower in the front that friends and I would joke was the guard tower.
I love the presence of 2020 fashion in this pack. While the base game is giving early 2010s fashion & building aesthetics. They need to just make a new game pls
I'm not really into it personally. It feels gimmicky, has a very specific Look and Vibe that isn't really what I want, and generally feels like the sort of thing that gets dated after only a few years.

I'm actually surprised they have RGB chairs in this. Believe it or not those are real and I almost bought one like a year ago before I settled on the chair I have now. Not really sure how the hell those would work though.
same way the RGB desk and RGB mousepads work - depending on brand they usually use USB, WiFi, or Bluetooth to hook up to a RGB controller, which may be a standard unit with Rainbow or Corsair RGB connectors, or some proprietary crap that doesn't work with anything else.
usually a USB wire hooked to the computer and then controlled with an app. I generally like anything RGB, but the chairs are stupid, because you can't enjoy looking at it when you're sitting in it.

it's a great and easy to understand demonstration of the developer's lack of focus on what matters and their focus on what doesn't matter, they either forgot this is a simulation game that at its core should offer extreme Replayability and Unpredictable gameplay, or they're just bad at it.
It already has extreme replayability and unpredictable gameplay though.
only thing they did good is the trailer to lure simmers in and get their money.

@@NickaLah no some things never change

1. No option to have uniforms. Even though I didn’t have uniforms growing up, I still really want to give my students uniforms because I think they look so cute

I like that they’re taking their time. It’s nice they show building and gameplay. You can tell that the developers have a heart for the Sims games.

Kids roaming around the halls and doing whatever after school, though...that is weirdly accurate to some extent. We have to kick them out because a lot of them will go into the bathrooms and vandalize them, which only hurts us custodians.

I’d rather use mccc to disable robberies and other crazy things than to just not have them
Idk I’m so bored of this game, I’ve only wanted to play recently because of the new build/buy and cas, and to use more cc of those too.
its actually worse as a dollhouse for me too. sims 3 i could cheat just about everything to get my perfect stories set up. sims 4 requires so much jumping through hoops to get items traits etc unlocked. they really made it for builders + content creators i think. the only good part of sims 4 are the building tools imo
YOU UNGRATEUL PEON! WHO NEEDS CARS WHEN THERE'S SO MANY DIFFERENT STYLE OF CHAIRS!! IT ADDS SO MUCH MORE GAMEPLAY!! HATER!!
When Generations from Sims 3 offers the equivalent of several Sims 4 packs.
same for Pets.
subdivide and milk
Ambitions is like 12 Sims 4 packs at this point.
Shhhhh
Super weird you can't just zone a lot to be a school.. I guess it is what it is. Didn't really expect to be able to drive in this game still but you're not wrong there, would have been a perfect time to add it! Oh well I guess.
That sums up the Sims 4 in general: “Oh well I guess” lmao 🥲
Where would you be able to drive tho? Its too late for that.
Unless you're talking ab some visuals for "Travel".
I'd rather have other transport options that aren't a car, but you do you.
EA would never. They will add cars in separate pack. And only exclusive to just one world.
As soon as they announced the new pack I was just waiting for LGR to post a review. Absolutely love these reviews!
Rubbing in the lack of cars in Sims 4 just never gets old. Why they just can't Implement them the way they operated in Sims 2 is beyond me...
Oh my god I say this all the time! If you’re not giving us open world just put them in sims 2 style 🫠
I have always, and will always play the sims 3. nothing compares to cars, horses, and open worlds. I love the sims 3, and I am so excited for the next chapter of sims 5. hopefully they try to bring more stuff back that was actually good from sims 3 and sims 4 will just be a distant memory
It was nice to actually have a review of this pack. The other Sim's reviewers were so busy complaining about the bugs that I wasn't able to get a good idea of what the pack actually has. Was not expecting LGR review either. Super refreshing.
Maybe if there were less bugs they could've reviewed the pack 🤷🏾♀️ I mean I'd be upset and more focused on the sims I've spent a lot of times developing stories and personalities if they were randomly aging up to death or getting into romantic relationships with family too, because I had the audacity to spend $40 to add some new gameplay
And YMMV of course.
Probably focusing on the bugs so they dont have to call out the fact the expansion pack has barely any gameplay
Whenever I see a new LGR video I give it a thumbs-up before I watch it, despite the fact that I don't play The Sims 4 anymore.
I didn’t realize how much I missed LGR’s videos, but suddenly the world feels at peace.
I completely understand your reason from ending your reviews. I was so confused when I stopped seeing them but I had eventually figured you grew tired of it.
I’m glad you’re willing to review the big ones still. Yours and Plumbella’s reviews are the only ones I enjoy watching.
EA keeps milking the Sims 4. The positive side is that I can watch another review from the best Sims reviewers out there.
And probably the only one who hasn't forgotten the point of the game in the first place!
I get the impression the pack is going for the kind of high school life seen on shows like Saved by the Bell and the like given how much of the game feels influenced by sitcoms and other tv shows. There's no way to capture the breadth of experiences of high school but the kinds of shows about it we saw as children and teens are familiar to us all
The Sims games are made to imitate American TV on purpose. People from all over the world are familiar with it.
There was a similar idea with the University expansion for TS2 as well; imitating the pop culture perception of colleges more than real life college life.
Which admittedly does fit with the "American Television Culture" motif The Sims has.
Yeah I mean when this expansion doesn't come with a depression mechanic it's definitely not realistic (I was in a dark place during high school)
I miss Sims 3. The expansions for 3 actually added so much.
Can someone please optimise the game to be perfect :(
a modder named lazy duchess made a patch to make the sims 3 run sooo much better along with NRaas mods.. to me and other simmers the game runs better with these but i wouldn’t know since my pc can run the sims 3 pretty well :,)
i did notice a performance boost though but anyone interested should check it out there’s many other options to help optimize and run the game better too :D
I want a Sims game with Sims 3's open (and customizable) world and expansion pack style, but with all the building and CAS features and optimization of Sims 4. Also using Sims 4 artstyle because I genuinely prefer it over 3's
we’ve needed a true sims competitor for so long!
@@winterwatson6811 not done yet but paralives at least looks promising for a sims competitor
@@PatManDX Nah Sims 4 can keep it's art style, I hate how cartoony everything looks. Sims 3 did it better
The teen bodies are actually slightly different from young adults, but not very noticeably.
He says he's not fond of occult/supernatural Sims stuff though, every time they have unrealistic/magic additions to the games
Naw
@@modkhi It's almost like occult stuff is unrealistic and or magical.
I've never felt more out of touch from a Sims pack than I do this particular one; and I'm 19.
Same and I'm 19 too lol
EA has managed to drag sims 4 on for so long that we're not even their primary audience anymore, kinda funny really.
@@toebeexyz they're not even close to done btw
@@toebeexyz They're dumbing it down and making it generic and "safe," hardly fun and appealing as to why the Sims became so beloved and interesting to begin with
@@Robbie-mw5uu That's what I'm saying lol, they've manage to extend the life of the game that it's original audience has outgrown it
I wish you'd also reviewed the Werewolf pack but no biggie. Glad to see your review of HSY. When I heard about all the new chairs, I naturally thought of LGR. :)
Lol, I didn't know high schools in the US looking like prisons was a wider spread thing. My first year of HS was at a newly constructed school that definitely looked like a prison. There was even a clock tower in the front that friends and I would joke was the guard tower.
prom being a seasonal thing with a seasonal theme would make it seem more special and like an event. once a week sounds too frequent
Me seeing you have a new Sims review: "Oh good! I was wondering how many chairs the new pack had 🤔"
I love the presence of 2020 fashion in this pack. While the base game is giving early 2010s fashion & building aesthetics. They need to just make a new game pls
I wish they'd make a pack of early to mid 2000's fashion. I liked it.
@@LaDeXi sims 2 is where i get my 2000s era fix. 😂
I'm not really into it personally. It feels gimmicky, has a very specific Look and Vibe that isn't really what I want, and generally feels like the sort of thing that gets dated after only a few years.
@@incognitoburrito6020 I feel like that's just how fashion works. Trends fade out in a few years. I quite like it though, so I'd like to have hope (all these aesthetics are very nice)
@@cryforhelp7270 That's true, but there are styles and trends that move faster than others, and I think a lot of the ones they've included will fall into that category.
Bro I've missed your Sims content! I just turned 22 and I've watching your videos since I was like 10 or 11 years old. Really glad you decided to review this, I always rewatch your Sims videos when I wanna get a laugh. But I'm glad you've taken the year off. You haven't missed much lol.
Hearing your voice again LGR transported me back to when I was 12 years old and loved binging your videos bc I fucked w your sense of humor 😭😭 I’m 22 now and it’s still great!
1:08 God, that Generations review. 😭
I used to watch it all the time as a middle schooler hyping myself up to buy the expansion. I was so excited. I miss being excited for new Sims packs. 🙃
LGR: "I won't be reviewing more Sims 4 content."
EA: "Well folks, we better give him a little break then."
To be fair, he said he wouldn't quit on the Sims, just he would only review major developments like expansion packs, but no more stuff packs etc.
I was literally just binge watching all of your old sims reviews, nearly every single one, this past week. And then out of the blue like a superhero you pop up with this review! I missed these and your sarcasm and wit!
As much as I've given up on the Sims, I watched this video so fast just in the merit how comfortable and nostalgic your sims videos are haha
The only Sims reviews I trust... at the moment the Highschool DLC is on sale on Xbox...so I believe it's worth getting now for 25.99 than it's full price.
I’ve watched all the previous LGR reviews so much that I thought I’d never have more!! I don’t care about buying the packs - I just love putting on these reviews and having a great time listening :)
A SIMS 4 REVIEW FROM YOU??? Oh my gosh!!! I’m so happy to hear from you in the community again! When this pack came out, I wished you were around to review it because your reviews are the ones I trust the most. I’m absolutely thrilled! 😫♥️
Why sell a full game for $60, when you can, you know, break it up into 20 chunks of $40 and sell it as DLC. The modern video game market is so consumer un-friendly.
I missed these sims 4 content! Now I can go back to watching these before buying the packs
you give such full and comprehensive reviews/overviews that it astounds me! ABSOLUTELY love your videos!
It's great to hear your review voice again.
I'm glad for your peace of mind you are accepting that this team is on a course we aren't changing with constructive criticism.
You're a legend and I absolutely value your game reviews.
@@thesteelrodent1796 do you have to plug in the chair, how do the lights stay powered?
Happy you got a well-deserved break from this game! Out of curiosity, will you ever do a ranking video like you did with the Sims 3's packs? Will it just be the ones you reviewed or... somehow all of them?
Possibly! If they ever actually stop making packs and move onto the next thing finally :)
@@LGR I was hoping this would be the last one. Now, to hatch an evil scheme to convince everyone to stop buying, so they'll give up on making more packs...
I'm really happy to see your review!! It's great that you're pretty much one of the rare genuine reviewers when it comes to this nowadays and you don't force negativity for the sake of it either. Never change, you legend!
I was so saddened seeing your comment on your last Sims video. You're who I go to for a comprehensive look at whether or not I will want things for this game. I'm so happy to see this. Your sacrifices in taking a look at a game you don't care about are not overlooked or unappreciated!!!
It is good to see you review the Sims 4 expansion pack again. I always love to hear your takes on the content.
I missed your Sims 4 reviews so much! I'm happy to see you back! 🧡
I was just saying how I missed your Sims content! Your reviews are so honest and I appreciate your insights. :)
Seeing these teen sims with their streaming, wide screens, judge-free school, makes me awed on how much school has changed within the past 12 years
It's rather interesting to see how this Expansion pack is kind of messy, and then we had the Werewolf game Pack last month that a lot of people enjoyed. Thanks again LGR for your take on this pack!
Yay your doing a sims 4 review. we have missed your chair thoughts and humour xx
LGR must have went to the same high school as I did. Mine definitely looked more like a prison than the school from this pack.
I’ve seen school as prison ever since I was a kid.. I’m an adult now so my second worst nightmare is over.
In the Virginia county where I grew up, the older school buildings were like that, but the newer ones were nice and looked almost exactly like this game.
All Schools look like Prisons.
Architects are Honest People.
LGR takes on The Sims always make me excited
It's crazy how I haven't watched this channel since the Sims 3 Laundry Stuff Pack came out. Here we are, 5 or so, maybe 10 years later and I'mmmmmmmmmm backkkkkk!
thank you for being so brutally honest in your reviews. we need more creators like you
Thank you for reviewing this! I've missed your Sims reviews. I know you've vowed not to review game or stuff packs but I would love to hear your opinion on Werewolves!! From what I've seen, it looks more like an expansion than this.
