All you can say is wow, great to see Rory back always fun when he is around, going to try and persuade my son to have a father and son trip over there....😊
Just up the beach from the island is Corballis Golf course, a public links course that you'll get green fees for €35 per person. It's a par 66 but great fun. Bernhard Langer used to play it before the Irish opens in Portmarnock to dial in his putting as the greens are so pure there. Well worth a visit, plenty of TH-cam vids on it for anyone interested.
Mark, please, please get the old gang back together for a 2v2 course vlog. Coach is a must, but any two of Harper, Pickard, Buzzman, Dan or Ray. It would be vlog of the year.
I'm an Irish golfer (and sailor!) and THIS is a fantastic video. These guys GET it. The amazing thing is, is that is only scratching the surface of what the Island of Ireland has to offer. So much in such a small space.
Ireland has some of the most spectacular and challenging golf courses known and unknown in the world. You cannot go wrong visiting and playing golf in Ireland. Cheers.
Played Baltray, Donegal and Portstewart - they are as good as they look here, if not better. Any trip to Ireland to play sea side golf will be a blast, I've been going for the last 12 years.
Unfortunately Ireland's courses are catering to an American market which has made a lot of courses out of reach for the average golfer. Prices in the last 10 years has more than doubled. 200 to 300 euros a round is just crazy. Over 400 pounds a round at Royal County Down. I know there's a lot of 'lesser' courses that don't get the recognition they deserve. How about doing a series of 'hidden gems' for under 100 euros that would put it in more of a reach for the average person, just a thought.
That has happened here in the states also. $800 to play Sawgrass is an extreme example. All my local courses have just gone up, up, up and it isn't because of tourist pressure.
Two weeks ago myself and 7 other golfers from cork went to Donegal golfing for a week and if you have a g.u.i.handycap lots of great courses will do you a deal , try and plan a trip with open singles too great value, we played the 3 courses in rossapenna for 240 euro, Saint Patrick's links is amazing
Agreed David three courses in Rosapenna and two nights accomodation is very reasonable. Village is awesome also. Some great bars. I'm from Leitrim so not trying to market.
Got to attend the Chasing Scratch podcast 2022 Ireland trip through Fairway & Fundays. Great courses and great tour co. Played Esker Hills, Connemara, Carne, Enniscrone, K Club, Portmarnock, and The Island. Great memories.
As the previous watcher says they are just so expensive, beautiful but out of reach for the likes of me and most of my playing partners. Great vlog though keep them coming. Thanks
Nothing is more nostalgic Parfield style that a totally unexpected mid round, 120 yards in. A nipple height fizzing Raymondo's Thin Bullet and then the laughs after.
Then two holes later a chip in or a stiff gimme wedge with perfect amount of Soren. He's the best watch for an audience. No clue what's coming next. Shin height bullets, 2 yards duffs, stiff wedge or mid iron hole outs. Miss the "how far right can we miss hit it" comps with Coach and Ray. Or more than a driver distance between the left and right of them both
I didn’t play golf in the 10 years I lived there but the saying is very true “Your never alone in Ireland a 100000 welcomes ” it was by far the best place I have lived and worked.
Scotland pfft.....Ireland where its at now. Plus you get a decent Guinness afterwards. As an Englishman in NI, I am both spoilt and privileged to call this home because the golf is incredible. A lot of the big courses now aren't accessible anymore, however, there are plenty of hidden gems.
Coincidentally, I'm just watching through the old Ireland tour vlogs you guys did. Amazing looking courses. I might manage to get out there next year too!
Great to see you and Rory on the course! How did you not get Coach to tag along? Absolutely stunning views and courses. When my rich uncle in the poor house dies and leaves me his vast fortune, I'm going to get to Ireland and play all the courses. LOL
Wow…just wow…. These places just look AWESOME!!! I just wish I had a Raymondo to come with me too. I feel like the man bun is an essential part of the experience. Great stuff Mark! I know… you have a tough job. LOL.
Appreciated this one, watched your course vlogs with Rory years ago while living in South Africa. Now living in Ireland so it's opened my eyes to some great options.
Mark great look at ireland golf its always been on my bucket list to visit just a shame its so pricey would be great if you could do a video on more affordable golf in ireland nice to see Rory back
Very good Mark. Really good way to inform about golf in Ireland. Thanks a lot. But some course Vlogs like in the old days wouldn't hurt. Love to see some full action from Mr. Paarfield going low. Still go back form time to time to watch your old course vlogs.
Class. Great to see courses I know well. My dad lives in Baltray and I'm just over the river. I could have brought you to our little gem of a course in bettystown 😂 Great trip, hope you guys enjoyed it.
Grew up playing on the beach as a kid at loyal portrush . The Antrim coast line is 2nd to none 😍 I now live in Bournemouth 🙄😂and play at the isle of purbeck 😁😁there’s hope 😂😂
Great video as usual Mark. I chatted to you guys as you were leaving the 15th tee box in Ardglass. Kicked myself for not asking for a photo. Next time you're back hopefully...
Would really of loved to see you do a course vlog on some of these courses . You did really have some of the best course vlogs on TH-cam and I do miss them. I know you’ve gone in a different direction in a saturated market of course vlogs but no one else really does them like the muppets 😂 Still a great video all the same production is top notch
For years ive beem watching your golf vlogs and your trips to ireland and id think....oneday they will discover Co Donegal and there heads will be blown ....so marc ? Head blown
Cant believe you didn't go and play st, Patrick's in rossapenna mark , have played narin and portnoon and murvah and they don't hold a candle to it , its unbelievable
Ireland golf courses are priced very different, for locals to travellers,...😮 massively, I can play mount jouliet for 50 euros when I get a family member to book, but it's 150-250 euros if I tried to do it myself
You're talking about hidden gems, the courses are top 20 ones in Ireland on every list and are priced out of the market for 99% of golfers. Brilliant video but unrealistic to call them hidden, we know about them in Ireland but they are inaccessible.
@@barrydoyle4029agree Barry totally overpriced and catering to American tourists willing to pay the overpriced green fees. The Island green fee for example is ridiculous but there's a public course nearby for 35 euro that's just as good. The same goes for many courses in Ireland. I played the Island for 20 euro in the early 2000's, St. Patrick's and Maghera Mor on the same day for 12 Irish Pounds, about 8 Euro. I actually agree with the reduced green fees for local golfers but the prices for tourists are totally ridiculous and have been driven up by social media influencers. In the long term it is totally unsustainable 😢
I’ve played Co Down, Portrush , Druids Glen and Balybunion all magnificent, it’s just the weather, you don’t get that greenery without rain, and boy does it rain in Ireland. Had the misfortune to work there for 10 years, will never go back
Ardglass is quite overrated. It’s a nice course with nice food after but it’s more of a filler between proper courses like RCD, Portstewart, Portrush, Portmarnock etc. the green fees are outrageous for the American market that the tour operators have started utilising
The welcome ???in the clubhouse is beyond words after paying 250 quid at the Island, members are like little fairies wot drink Guinness by the bucket ,
Baltray is a very good course ,beautiful par threes, and the Lady Captain always wears a lovely fascinator with a pheasant feather prominent at a jaunty angle, clubhouse members are most welcoming even for an Aussie
What you didn’t call😢…..I thought we were solid…..any and all Ireland content-I’d be your man….. I’m sure you’ll get a few ring but come on brov, let me help you ☘️☘️☘️
Mark I so miss your course vlogs with Rory and Coach. Please bring them back!
Would love to see some Ray, Coach and yourself content once more, those vlogs were the absolute best!
Ireland looks stunning!
Rory! I've missed El Rayus, the King of unexpected wayward shots.. so relatable. Great to see him again
Love your course vlogs. Seeing Rory join you always makes me smile. Glad to see you both doing what you do best
All you can say is wow, great to see Rory back always fun when he is around, going to try and persuade my son to have a father and son trip over there....😊

Agree but it's all about money and.there aint anything in it for the company sponsoring this vlog by showcasing that type of course.

Biblical video Mark. Love the format and great to see Rory again. Keep them coming. :)
Mr Anderson so good to see you back but there seems to be a Muppet missing?😊
Happy for you, Mark -- you've been doing top-flight work for a lot of years, so I'm glad to see you're getting to enjoy some of the cool perks.

Love these trip guides and travel vlogs. Amazing golf!
Amazingly beautiful courses Mark and enjoyed watching but links courses not for me ,you had perfect weather and light winds lucky men

Be great to see a match with Yourself, Coach, Lou, Greggy & friends.

The European Club is an absolute gem and a serious test of golf…maybe next time ..?
I grew up a stones throw away in Malahide. It's a hidden gem for sure! Speith and Thomas played there right after the British Open.
Some weather you got !
We defo hit the jackpot
That's the Ramore complex in Portrush where you ate. Great vibes.
Great looking courses Mark
Well done, Mark!
Looks unbelievably beautiful, definitely on my bucket list 👌👌👌
Any course vlogs coming from these course or the trip, miss your vlogs.
You drove past me in the buggy on 18 at Royal Portrush. I shouted but you boys were in a hurry to get to the harbour bar. 🍻

Nice video mate, I’ve missed the vlogs!
Thanks Mark! As a retired Yank in Arizona, I’ll probably never get to see these courses. Much appreciated.
Enjoyed this. Would have made some great course vlogs.
Hopefully you played Cruit Island. It's such a special place. Some of the best views I've ever seen from a golf course.

Time for golf in New Zealand mate
Are you wearing Asics shoes there Mark? Look very comfy..!
So much better than rick shiels 😅
I’m expecting Carne to be featured…… if not we riot
What happened to all the course matches with coach and the other guys? Really miss them!

coach lockey not available?
.. years ago I remember a complaint among the Irish which went “there’s more golf courses in Ireland than playgrounds” 😳
I'm very lucky it's my home
Portrush best course in Ireland and it is not even close.
Play Enniscrone
Play Lahinch.
Great courses chosen although clearly targeted at the wealthy golfer….golf for the few not the many
