      the Phillipines are awesome. The food, the people and the culture of the country. This particular building seemed to have issues. Take solace that I am currently in Cebu right in the middle of what nobody would consider tourist central and my place is awesome!. And no ROACHES OR RATS!😀

    For Makati that’s good. We could easily drop $2500 or more, which is why we no longer stay there, but it’s the only decent place to stay in Manila for sure.

    • @PureDetour
      @PureDetour  ปีที่แล้ว

      Oh no doubt, I didn't find our monthly cost to be bad all things considered. Could have dealt without the rats and roaches in the garbage room, but I guess that is the price you pay for saving a few dollars

    • @sentinel80
      @sentinel80 ปีที่แล้ว

      When I lived there it cost me just short of $3k pm.
      BGC has taken over from Makati as the prime area to live these days.

    Salcedo Village and Legazpi Village have much better accommodations, but they're probably a lot more expensive than Spaz. Spaz is cheaper because it's not in Makati CBD, it's on the outskirts

    • @PureDetour
      @PureDetour  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      That's fair. They probably were a lot more expensive. It really wouldn't have been a big deal had there not been signs posted everywhere about the fines. In a building that the vast majority of residents I saw were Filipino. They have literally locked them into a corner about the garbage rooms. A company of this size and magnitude that manages a complex of this size should be held accountable for just filthy conditions. Once again, the staff, security, airbnb host were all great. The garbage situation in a place like this is beyond disgusting

      @@PureDetour what i am trying to say is that, dont expect a pest free environment of you are paying a cheaper price. While trying to tell those experiences, better focus more on how your channel grow while vlogging in philippines and donate to charity.. Im not excellent in your language.😁

    • @PureDetour
      @PureDetour  ปีที่แล้ว +6

      @@leiraoleus9932, That is 100% fair and I get that. My issue here is that this is a high rise condo building that has multiple properties across Manila and in this particular building the vast majority of people I saw were Filipino that live there. The "fines" honestly were never going to impact me, but I do think it's bullshit that the residents of the building have to put up with this at no fault of their own. The FILIPINOS are the ones going to be subjected to these fines by a major developer, not me. All they had to say is we are having a sanitation issue at the moment and are looking to correct it as soon as possible. Not leave billboards all over the building threatening the residents with fines
      As to my channel growth, that is out of my hands. I have as much control over it as you do. Doesn't mean I have to sit back and not call out corporate greed when I see it. i wouldn't do it in my home country that I left 25 years ago and I won't do it anywhere else in the world. If that offends someone, so be it

    • @jeedelavega2409
      @jeedelavega2409 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      @@leiraoleus9932There's nothing wrong on what he said about the building. It is not his job to sugarcoat everything about his experience, he's just being honest with it. You can't just focus on the positive side when you're clearly experiencing negative things.
