Would that work out as 6 double (UK: treble) crcohet stitches at the beginning and end of row 1? And would it change anything else in a big way? Just starting the video now…
Thank you for the tutorial Alison. Your intructions are very clear and the video shows exactly what you're doing. But....I tried 3 times to work this pattern starting with a chain of 35. It actually required 37.
There is so much lovely texture that I don't think fringe is necessary. It's beautiful. With the right colors, you could make it look like Peacock feathers ❤
So glad to see this - I swatched this pattern from the other video you did on it last weekend and was thinking it would make a great scarf! This is SO fun to work and surprisingly easy, once you get going! Thank you :-)
That’s gorgeous! I would not use fringe, it will only take away down the lovely shells. I would frame it, just as you did and let the shells be the main attraction. Lovely work. I will definitely be trying to make this. Thanks for sharing with us. 💜🧶🤟🏼
For some reason, it looks kind of like peacock feathers to me. Especially in that color way. So gorgeous. I agree with the other comments that say "no fringe." It doesn't need it and it might be too much. Let those beautiful stitches shine without distraction.
I can’t thank you enough for sharing this beautiful pattern with us all! I can’t wait to start this! I always watched all the way through before starting. This is SO pretty!👏👏👏💕💕🥰
This is a gorgeous pattern. But, I noticed that on the beginning of row 5, after you built the Mini V-stitch…you did not chain 1 before moving on to working the 8 Back Post on the next fan…but, you did chain 1 after the 8 Back Posts of that same fan/shell. Was this on purpose??? Or a blooper??? Should there be a chain 1 after that very first Mini V-Stitch on Row 5??? I’m working right along with your video tutorial…that’s why I noticed it. Please let me know, as I’m working up a blanket with this pattern. Thank you for sharing and your time.🙏💕💖💕
@@AlisonRussellsCrochetChannel Alison. I've just made this scarf. I got my yarn from an eBay seller called blue-roses. She still has one 300g ball of the blue colour and one in the pink colour. She's based in Ireland but despatches really quickly. I only had to wait 2 days from the time of ordering. PS. This is the first item I've crocheted and it's turned out really well.
king Coles riot yarn its better with variegated rather than the stripy yarn that has larger blacks of colour but it does look good in 1 solid colour like the purple blanket i made see it a few videos earlier than the scarf upload.
Just a suggestion the red against the black makes it difficult to see clearly. White yarn would have been better just my humble opinion but thank you it looks like a lovely pattern
You can zoom in on the video by using 2 fingers pulling away from each other. As well as slowing the video down from the upper right gear Playback. Just a humble suggestion, hopes it helps
The stitch count is 11 plus 4 extra. In the video I said 2 extra but try 4 extra

Very pretty

It is lovely- no fringe needed

Thank you so sharing this pattern, I don't care for fringe but I loved your border.
I’d love to try that! It’s beautiful. I think it looks good without fringe.

Beautiful!! No fringe, the fringe would take away the beauty of the design...my opinion. BTW you do beautiful work. Thanks for sharing
Oh wow Alison what a beautiful pattern, I will definitely be trying this one. Thank you so much ❤❤❤

That pattern would make a beautiful hat too. Thanks for posting. My vote would be to put a fringe on it.

Could you make a hat to match please?

i will do a hat soon
@AlisonRussellsCrochetChannel thankyou 😊
I love this pattern however I cant find a yarn that works with it. Any suggestions? TY

@@AlisonRussellsCrochetChannel Which weight is best? TY
Why is my stitch count of 11 plus 2 not working? I tried 3 times to make sure I counted right
Try 11 plus 4.....this worked for me.
