Great video & round on your first visit. I have played the North since 2005 -North opened in 2001; and played the South since 1995, the year it opened. Excellent conditions most of the time. As well as the 2002 Canadian Open on the South and the 2007 on the North, it also had an LPGA tournament in 2001, won by Annika Sorrenstam. Having lived not tooo far away in the 90's I actually saw it being built. A couple of the holes 5 and 15 were altered prior to the 2007 Canadian Open in regards to the overall fairway path to the green. I have not been back since 2021, but you just reminded me to make it out there this year. You need to try the South next year. These 2 courses may not be around in 5-10 years, or may be just 1 course.
Thanks for sharing! Very cool that Annika won here! I do want to check out the South course. 😊 Really hope they don't get rid of the courses... I have heard whispers about removing a few courses around GTA.
Another beautiful course. I know you're working with the new/old flatstick but some of those puts look like you cut across the ball. Just an observation. Looking forward to the travel vlogs.
Driving 230-240 is really good considering lpga driving averages are around 260. I do prefer the south course, it is a little more scenic and has a little more character, the north is kind of flat all around but still a challenging and fun course to play. Angus glen is kind of hit and miss with the conditions. Glen abbey, pipers and osprey will always have top notch conditions (at least i found that). I totally agree with you with the value and conditions on its bad days, it should be more consistent and better for the price. Still one of my top 5 courses from the layout and overall experience. “Challenging course but not frustratingly challenging” is something i would totally agree with for angus glen and the reason why i find it enjoyable. 😅
Thanks for reaffirming my thoughts! I wasn't sure if the course conditions fluctuate or if we just went on a day where the greens and bunkers were not great. Overall still a really nice course 😊 Curious about the south course now! Might have to check it out too
@@GolfwithShanThey have so many tournaments so the course can get beat up and they have their off and on days. For its price shouldn’t be like that imo. Last time i went to the range the grass was way too long and wasn’t like the previous time i went where the grass was more like abbey. I think their maintenance team is lacking for that level of course. Still even with the conditions being hit or miss still one of my top courses to play beside osprey and abbey if I’m paying $100+ I would definitely recommend tpc toronto osprey hoot over the south course, especially after ur experience with the north. Cheaper and a better experience imo with much better course conditions. I feel like you will enjoy it more. More people like osprey and i’ve heard some say angus isnt worth the price. Angus is more a personal fav of mine if i can survive the steep green fees and 401 traffic. Play there more at church and community/business tournanents since a lot of asians play there and host tournaments there.
It's nice to see 2 birdies in one round! Great video of the great golf course. Thanks for sharing!
I played at Angus Glen twice this season, it is expensive but the conditions were perfect. Love it, challenging but enjoyable. Great video!!!
Nice to see you crushing some drives & working it both ways 👏👏💪
😂

Range balls are included! On the bottom of your receipt is a code for the ball machine.
Another's great video. shan is looking forward to seeing where you will travel to next overseas
nice birdie time! I play cardinal too much, i need to check out other clubs you go too around gta
Got to play this a few weeks ago. You should look at Black Diamond in Ponty Pool. Great course
Great vlog as always Shan! You did really good. Looks like a nice course but personally, I wouldn’t go to a course that expensive.
Fair enough! It's expensive compared to a lot of courses in the area. More of an experience to say I did it 😂
Cute!

Thanks! And yes, you're right haha I do cut across the ball, I've noticed from watching the footage as well 🤔

Love Angus Glen!! North course is very challenging. South course in much easier.
Looked more pulls on holes 2 and 3 - not pushes.
Have to be honest, doesn't look like a $175 course. Not even close.
I would agree with that! It's a great course. Not my favorite in the GTA. There's definitely an upcharge for the "name"
