  • I bought a silencer for my 1994 Twin Turbo Toyota Supra because I wanted it to be quieter at an idle. In this video, I show you the difference in decibels with and without the silencer at idle.

I have one of these for my singled supra with a straight through 3" and 4.5" hks cannon. My fitment is quite good but I noticed the main thing mine does is change the tone so its not as low and loud of a rumble. So because low frequencies travel further my car couldn't heard from as far away. However I feel like mine might work differently to yours

Rdizz Automotive That’s so badass you have a single set-up! #goals That’s an interesting result, especially with the straight pipe. Thank you for watching the video and commenting.

That gap could be fixed with a little welding, don't know if that would benefit much more though, and it would make it much less removable.

Ha! A little welding can fix anything in a exhaust. LOL thanks for watching the video man.

I have straight pipe BMW and I used to have the silencers they work 100% you just need to modify them, first you need to wrap them with Fiberglass they should fill your pipe with no gap, the Fiberglass kill the sound also you need to get a slimmer exhaust silencers the slimmer the less sound you will get

How do I get no rasp from the silencer? I watched some videos of silencers and when they put it in it would sound hollow and like a can

Hey mate, I have a 93 Twin Turbo Supra with 264/272 Cams, and I want to reduce the exhaust noise for the exact same reason as you, I don't want to bother my neighbors. Did you find something to help with your idle sound? If so, would really appreciate you sharing.

Hello! I feel you man, I did not find anything but I did read about something that can fix the problem. An exhaust valve that is controlled by a switch like new sports cars sometimes have. It works by almost closing the exhaust via a flap by a certain amount which reduces the sound of the exhaust and when you press the switch again it opens it up again. It is pretty expensive though but would fix the problem. Thank you for watching the video.
