Yess!!! Another channel where I can watch Mississippi Stud!
The point system is not one I play by, but may start doing so my next casino trip. I've won a lot playing Mississippi Stud, but I've also lost a lot, too.
Still waiting for a Royal on this game. I've hit everything else

So what strategy do you use? I’m always up for other ideas!

@ReelDeckGaming honestly, I play by the flow of the table, if the cards are terrible, I fold a lot of hands. If the dealer cards are low cards and I'm getting face cards and losing, I fold the face cards and play my low card hands, unless I have pocket pairs, of course. If I have a push card/low card, I'll almost always look at 1 card, but I don't chase a push, either. The point system worked for you, I need to employ that my next trip. Will save me some money chasing cards 😅

Loved learning along with Alicia! I had a vague idea, but that point system is easy and makes sense! TFS! 💜

You saved money vs the book play on the Q2dd hand. The 4th street play with three suited cards is 1x regardless of points; with the diamond on 4th street, the 5th street bet would've been 3x into a loss on the river.

I’m glad it worked out that time. I know some times it won’t. Thanks for watching! I appreciate viewers like you that like to give tips and discuss hands. I hope to have more Mississippi soon!

I also play by the points system. I've taught several local players this strategy and also a couple dealers. I live in Shreveport, Louisiana and all our casinos have it. One has a variation called cajun stud. Has a pocket bonus and also a low ball hand bonus.

I feel like with my luck on this game in order to play a pocket bonus it would have to pay like 150 to 1 lol. I never seem to get them. Thanks for your support!

A knowledgeable dealer once told me that quite often she heard from people who have put two out of three bets out there “that I might as well bet the third one, I am already in for two.” She told me that was one way to lose money on this game. Play the points although I disagree with Wizard of Odds saying to stay in with 5 and 6 suited.

Honestly I’m kind of on the fence about that one.

    Thanks for the MS videos.
Not too many videos online playing it. They have it at my local casino and I enjoy playing it.
Honestly for me, I see one card and bet 4th street 50% of the time. I think in average I would’ve pushed on 2 hands and won 2 hands if I chased.
Thats probably out of 50+ hands.
I guess I’m just waiting on being dealt a pocket pair, but it also depends on what I’m working with.
    Fun game at least!

I don't understand Mississippi Stud points??

Pay cards are worth 2 points, push cards are 1 point and non pay are 0. You play further if your “points” are equal or more than the amount of cards showing. There are some exceptions like straight draws and low pairs but it’s a good method to follow. Better odds

Let’s not overlook the handspeed of the dealer counting the deck at the beginning
