I know that for the Perentie, different high range output gears were fitted depending on the model. You can buy these independently to fit, but need to make sure you get the correct bearing type. That applies to the gear lever too, as slightly different ones were used for the Stage I vs Range Rover vs 101 FC vs Perentie.
Geoff , A Perentie I drove once with a "new" Lt95a gearbox didn't have a rear main seal fitted! 2.5 days of additional 15mm & 17mm adventure followed. C.
Thanks for all the videos, really found them useful having picked up a Perentie in the UK. If you've any videos planned where you're driving the Perentie and showing what the gear changes should be like that would be awesome. I suspect the synchro in mine is gone, but I'm unsure what a 35 year old gearbox is supposed to be like 😂
Hey mate, i have a 1992 perentie 6x6, but I can't find a decent transfer case when i cut over to a 6.7l cummins and 68rfe Auto, so I'm cutting it in half but what are all the details to the lt95a input shafts to transfer case????@seriouslyseriesaustralia
@@carlbland8628 Hi Carl. I would simply suggest trying to use a different transmission all together if you are goin to all that trouble, look at a alice transmission system or fit a patrol gearbox. Kind regards, Geoff
@seriouslyseriesaustralia 1. you do understand what a 68rfe 6 Speed auto is, and 2. I'm after the transfer case and gearing so 3. Thanks to Australia I'm not dropping $60k on a transfer. I what to prove my concept the order and wait for 6x6 (2 tail shafts) transfer case from overseas.
@@seriouslyseriesaustraliaalso the you did a video on where to buy parts, when ordering being in Australia do you buy multiple parts. So what do you carry as parts or class as consumables regards Matt
Hey there Geoff, First off very very nice video and actually the only one of its kind on TH-cam. However i wanted to ask, as i have been reading about LT95As lately due to the fact that i wish to use one in my 83 110 V8. I actually found that the Perentie LT95As have the higher ratio in them along with the 12C LT95 Rangie boxes at 0.996 : 1. The Perenties though had a great big torquey Isuzu up front compared to the civilian Landies. The lowest LT95 ratio i think is the early 110 one at 1.336 : 1. Correct if i am wrong however. Take care !
@seriouslyseriesaustralia High Range. Did you mean low range ? If so then disregard what I said previously. All LT95s I think had the same low range ratio.
the LT95 transfer has about 9 different ratios . The Range rover were the that had the smaller brake drum The isuzu powered country on had the bigger Hand brake drum
It is out on Apple TV, VUDU, Google Play, TH-cam Movies and is just about to be released on Amazon. Netflix's wasn't interested in it they just want more of the same stuff they already have. Link below, Cheers Geoff th-cam.com/video/PQe0OrlDyDc/w-d-xo.html
I have the issue with several things for example ebay I need to change my location to Ukraine for example to find tobacco seed for purchase or to the US for mantles for kersene pressurised lamps and heaters, it is a pain but currently a necessity, I don’t know if Amazon lets you change location though

I’ll see what we can do. Try easing it into gear and double clutching. Cheers Geoff

Are we talking about low range or high range? Cheers Geoff

From day 1 my stage 1 speedo read 30% low. Got any clues about what was going on there?

Yes you are correct. I have a county LT95 & it has the larger brake drum same as my Perentie. Serial no. is 15coo12.
I still can’t find Road to Ruins in Amazon or Netflix in the USA

Thank you! The link did not work, but I searched within TH-cam Movies and found it $2.99 for HD version 👍🏼. Movie night!
the oil pump "gear" in the LT95 is made out of fibre whereas the LT95A gearbox oil pump is metal.
How can you tell if the transfer case has needle bearings? And how do you get the gears out?
